A great cappuccino at breakfast - you are free to have another - and it is made with a lovely attitude. The hotel has their own bikes (even if at extra cost). This is a great option to get to TU Delft without walking for ages. The fact that the bike can be used from the hotel means you do not have the open/closing hours of a bike rental. The hairdryer, iron, lamps etc. all work and a re good quality. These details are not neglected at Vermeer.

Despite the less modern finishes of this hotel, the many positive aspects completely dominated my actual, very enjoyable experience here.

The Hotel was a very nice place to stay in Delft, with an exceptionally beautiful view over the city (as we were on one of the top floors). The building is charming, down to the traditional winding staircase, which was quite alright for us as we were able to carry our bags up it. It was a very comfortable place, and the bathroom was exceptionally nice, clean, and spacious. Delft is a quiet and peaceful place to stay, and it feels very nice to walk around the town, full of lots of trees and beautiful buildings. Thank you for a very nice stay.

I let the hotel know I will arrive early. Easy early check-in, which went so smoothly. Felt very welcome. I asked for an ironing board in the pre-check-in requests ... everything was there, ready when I arrived. The Vermeer hotel has its own bikes to rent, so there are no logistics to wait until rental shops open. Cosy place for breakfast and very good coffee from the bar. Every interaction with the staff is very friendly and helpful.

It is possible to hear people in the next room.

Amazing location for exploring Delft or travelling further. Parking garages nearby and easy to get to. Loved the pancake machine at breakfast and wide choice. Our room and the tiled bathroom with the toilet and sink was beautiful but needed better lighting. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Shower was impossible to control, constantly varying hot to cold. No toaster machine at breakfast. We stayed in the director suite (room 30), it was a lovely elegant room, but it needs a deep clean, with cobwebs and some strange stain on the rig. Could do with more power sockets. Room coffee machine didnt work and fridge barely kept things cool, our tea selection wasnt topped up during our stay

The location is wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very good. The stairs to room 15, 16, and 17 are steep and winding. We were in 17. Even without any baggage the stairs would challenge many people and with baggage be impassable for many more. However, the staff is congenial and does offer to assist with bags. Once up the stairs, the room is very comfortable. The breakfast included in our reservation was quite good, with a very pleasant restaurant space.

Very swift communication. I had a late arrival but I was given the full options and smooth follow-up. Very friendly and warm staff. Excellent breakfast and pleasant breakfast room. Wonderful roof terrace with a great view. I loved the view of the church tower from my room.

Usually hotel rooms are overheated with no means of opening windows and only aircon which affects sleep. Here it was like sleeping at home. There was the possibility of putting on the heat but I preferred without, however I was a bit cold in bed initially. An extra blanket or something would have been nice. Otherwise the hotel is in a very quiet street on a canal so you will have sound sleep. The room had an old charm - but could perhaps do with some renovation. But you are definitely not in any odd chain hotel room that could be anywhere. Mine was called the lady writing a letter with the servant.

The location of the hotel is excellent right in the heart of Delft.

The access to the room was “difficult”. The hotel is sited in a very old building of which we were aware but there could have been more explanation about the very steep stairs that need to be climbed in order to access our room. That being said tha staff were very good in the matter of taking our suitcases up and down the stairs.

The hotel is in a great location near all the landmarks of Delft and in proximity with several nice bars and restaurants. The hotel's building is very charming and the rooms on both sides have great views on either the Nieuwe Kerk or the canal. I recommend paying extra for the breakfast, as it was very much worth it. The rooms are for the most part spacious and well kept. Beds are comfortable. Staff is very attentive.

We requested a queen size bed but the room we got at first had two separate beds made into one. We brought this up with reception and we got changed to a different room without any hassle. The first room we got was all the way to the top of the building, magnificent view, but also lots of stairs. this room must be very difficult to reach for people with big suitcases

Location, location, location. It's in the center of it all, yet with no crowds or drunk tourists under your windows. Also, surprisingly, good soundproofing. And AC!! - this is a gift from heaven for a person from where I come from, we are used to having ACs at bus stops.

For a 3-star hotel, I think everything was good. Cleaning could be better, but it was ok. A mini-fridge in the room would be very nice, but I guess it's a European thing not to have any. MInor things like a missing bulb - again, not life-changing. Overall, I cannot complain. I had a good stay. I would stay here again.

The main destination of my visit was Delft itself, the hometown of the artist Johannes Vermeer. Little Delft is, in my opinion, a much more pleasant city than Amsterdam and yet it has the best aspects of Amsterdam, i.e. old buildings and canals. If you want to experience the museums of Amsterdam and The Hague, you can quickly reach them by train from Delft. Hotel Johannes Vermeer is located right in the center of Delft, a few minutes' walk from the market. Delft is such a small city that everything important can be easily reached on foot. There is a large and safe parking garage near Hotel Johannes Vermeer, where you can leave your car without worry. The price is 17 euros per day. It's worth remembering that Hotel Johannes Vermeer is not a four-star hotel, but rather a small and personal accommodation, which is exactly what I'm always looking for.
