Nice central location, with parking near to the hotel. Nice comfortable rooms with surprising home controls for lighting, curtains, tv and other features. living room areas comfortable and atmospheric.

There nothing in the room to place and access an open suitcase, other than on the bed or the floor.

We stayed in a room which had the comfy King sized bed with blackout blinds. The room itself was on the smaller side but felt bigger with the high ceilings and large windows and it was very clean and comfy. The hotel is in such a central location with the metro right outside the front door and plenty of cafes and restaurants close by. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming. Would recommend!

Next time I would book a room with a small kitchenette (if possible) as our room didn't have tea/coffee facilities or a fridge. In saying that the staff did provide me with a kettle of boiling water every night for my tea, so a massive thank you to them!

Excellent location right across the road from Blaak Metro and train station, with the old harbour out the back. Bed was huge, shower worked well and the whole place had an excellent modern feel. The iPad/app control of the lighting and blinds was cool if a little gimmicky/clumsy, but I salute them for the innovation

Clearly the bed taking up the width of the room with one person having to clamber over the other to get out is a conscious design trade-off and not for everybody, but it's obvious before booking so I'm not too bothered by that. What frustrated me somewhat was that there were no shelves or other places near window side of the bed for the occupant to put stuff like glasses, phone, water or indeed the room/tv control for example. That made for unnecessarily awkwardness that could be solved without compromising the overall concept.

The location was amazing, so close to the centre, great cafes and food close by. Our bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good for 16€ so we couldn't complain. The team made a great coffee each morning, and I loved the unlimited coffee with breakfast. Check in was pretty seamless and we could choose the type of room we had with no additional cost.

I didn't realise how small the rooms were and with two people, 2 large suitcases and cabin bags there wasn't much space and we couldn't fit our bags in the storage under the bed. The cleaning is optional which showed as there were random hairs throughout the bed when we lifted the covers. Not sure I'd stay there again purely for the fact it was just too cramped with our luggage, but for a short stay it's ok.

Words can't describe how fantastic the hotel staff is here. Danny, Kim, Alessia, Joost, Mulham, Reshma and Gabrielle have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make everyone's stay simply the best. In all my travels, I've never spent so much time enthusiastically chatting with hotel staff (if anyone from citizenM Rotterdam is reading this review, I'm terribly sorry for all the time you lost while being enthusiastically chatted at!) I could write a fair bit about the trendy hotel décor, the cool high-tech systems for managing your stay, the cheerful branding, the smartly furnished lobby and other things, but it would merely distract from how amazing the citizenM Rotterdam employees are!

My room was small. This isn't necessarily a shortcoming, and it's quite likely that there are larger rooms available at the hotel. I wouldn't know, as I had the idea of visiting Rotterdam in the shower, and then I was happily clicking away on Booking-dot-com while drinking coffee. That is to say, I didn't spend much time on the booking and I'm lucky that I ended up at citizenM. It's worth noting that while my room was something of a large-ish pencil case, the bed was really comfortable.

Very nice room - spotless clean. Some might say it is very small, and it is, but it has everything you need - nothing more, nothing less. Nice gimmick with the iPad to control lights, blinds etc. My daughter loved it 😊. Extremely friendly staff upon both check-in and check-out. We had a car and needed parking for that. There was a very secure parking lot below the hotel, that you get access to upon check-in, and which has an elevator up to the hotel reception and rooms. The hotel is located in a very nice area with the old harbour just outside the door. Quiet and safe area with a lot of atmosphere also in the canals near by.

For some strange reason, the hotel homepage specifies that no parking is available at the hotel, and then referees to two other parking lots somewhat near the hotel. This was a reason why I doubted if I wanted to book the hotel. But fortunately that was not true 😊.

The breakfast was good. I like the crunchy European bread and that fruit and veg was included. The location is really amazing. The cube houses and harbour area are must visit locations and to have them in walking distance is amazing. The harbour area especially has an amazing jogging route that doubles as a sightseeing route. The staff all had a relaxed vibe that I've always liked in the Dutch.

The cooked breakfast needs a bit more variety. I love eggs and mushrooms, but it was the same scrambled eggs and mushroom dish every day. A few more amenities would have been nice, like a shaving kit or even toothpaste in the room.

The hotel is very modern, even the check-in is very unusual. You will do everything yourself)) as there is no such concierge, you go through the whole procedure on your own. The rooms are small but comfortable, also equipped with modern gadgets, smart home systems, etc. It should also be noted the design of the interior space and of course the location, it is surrounded by the most iconic buildings of Rotterdam as well as canals with yachts and ships

unfortunately the advice of the hotel staff did not help, I wanted to choose a room with a view of the canal and the "White House" but the room turned out to be overlooking the courtyard, which of course makes it not so attractive

Very high tech with an ipad to control your room's lights and blinds, as well as allowing for a chromecast to the tv to watch netflix etc. Great central location, lovely fresh water with mint, cucumber or similar, available in the lobby every day. Massive bed, good bathroom facilities. Staff were continuously very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth what we paid.

Mattress was a bit firm, pillows too soft but that's all personal preference. Breakfast was quite expensive so we didn't purchase - not sure if it'd be worth the money.

Big comfy bed, great location, essentially self check-in/out, very modern and centrally located hotel with a lot of smart appliances. You can use a tablet to turn on/off all the lights, TV, blinds etc.

Fairly small room with the shower cabinet just a glass panel area within the room so I wouldn't recommend it as a hotel you stay in with someone you don't know well enough to have a lot of fiberous meals with if you know what I mean. Also whatever happened to water cookers and complimentary tea/coffee in rooms?
