The hotel location is perfect for local shopping and restaurants. The room was bigger than I thought having booked a superior room lots of space for our little one to run around. Ear plugs beside the bed for if the road noise was loud, that was a nice touch. Bathrobes and sippers to use while in the room. I would return again.

Breakfast a bit sparce and the hot option looked like it has been stood all morning and just moved around rather than refreshed but the continental breakfast was plenty full. No non step access unless asked. Not an issue by us as we just had a buggy. But need to ask for step free access.

The location couldn't be better. A short walk from Centraal station and the city centre. Off a main street with plenty of shops and places to eat. Really safe feeling and just excellent for walking around town. The building is so old and full of character. We loved the history on display and feel like the hotel could make more of it's unique style. Our room on the top floor was huge with a fridge and large bathroom and a wall of windows. The beds were comfy and everything well appointed if a bit dated but spotlessly clean. The breakfast had the best selection on offer of any hotel we've stayed in. A fresh juice maker and waffle maker and huge variety of continental options. The small gym was excellent and the free sweets and juices at reception a nice touch. The hotel was very good value for money. We booked a few months in advance and the room rates were equivalent to a budget hotel but this hotel offers so much more.

there was no bar or restaurant for evening meals. The breakfast was very pricey. Perhaps it would have been better value if we'd pre booked. Earlier check in would have been nice!

The hotel is conveniently located in between Beurs and Stadhuis metro and tram, restaurants and shopping malls around and only a short tram/metro distant away from Rotterdam Centraal. The hotel was clean and staff were very helpful with transport directions. The hotel also kindly provides drinks at reception, candies etc…. Very nice touch. Room had air condition for superior rooms, as well as bottles of water and Nespresso/pod coffee for free. Requests for iron, ironing board and new toiletries were quickly provided when requested.

The bed was not comfortable and gave 2 of us sore backs. It wasn’t supportive enough for our needs. There was also no option or offer to check in before the advertised 3pm, even when a room becomes available.

The location is amazing - right in the centre of Rotterdam. There are restaurant everywhere around the area and it is walkable to many places. The staff were very pragmatic and friendly. The room is spacious.

It is an old building some part of the hotel seemed old but it doesn't impact my stay. The lifts are a little slow but again - it's an old building! I think it can benefit with some renovation including USB plugs and also smart TV - but it's very little things that will not impact on the positive!

Great size room and fab location

Room temperature control very minimal and not sure it actually worked. Didn't contact reception as we were out most of the time, and forgot on check out. My bad. Bathroom needs updating, bath side quite high to step into for a shower and showerscreen in awkward position. Would recommend replacing with a shower tray instead. No hotel bar, was told there was plenty of bars around, of which we'd just come in from. Would've been nice to have one quiet drink before heading up to the room. The treats opposite the reception are a nice touch.

Friendly staff, comfy room. My daughter told everyone she saw she was staying in hotel. They contacted me in advance to check that we wanted a bed and not a cot for my daughter. We were very close to the metro which allowed us to travel to a lot of places with a toddler.

If you want me to find negatives. The shower was starting to show how much it was used by a little mildew. The cost of breakfast was also quite expensive. However I was very happy with my experience and I wouldn't have brought this up if the form didn't insist I say this.

The staff was absolutely fantastic, kind, friendly and helpful!

I would give our stay a 10 if only our room had an aircon. Some of their rooms do, some not, and we unfortunately happened to stay in a standard double which didn't have air conditioning. I imagine in Rotterdam they don't need It for the better half of the year but on the day of our visit It was 30C+ outside, so it got really pretty hot inside too. Word of advice: when booking, ask for a room with air-conditioning specifically. Otherwise, great place, historic building, fantastic location, fabulous staff

The breakfast was delicious, and it was very nice having a later end time to it at the weekends. The staff were all absolutely fantastic - so friendly, kind and helpful, I couldn't fault any of them. Such a wonderful team. The beds were very comfy and I was incredibly impressed with the wheelchair accessible room - great size and no troubles maneuvering in it.

The only downside to our stay was having to use the back door entrance to get into the hotel due to there not being a ramp for the front entrance. It meant we had to call ahead and wait for staff to open the door every time I wanted to go out and in, and the corridor was extremely narrow and difficult to manoeuvre in, especially as it was filled with laundry carts! However the staff were all quickly responsive and apologetic about the situation. Also, the room was very cold, especially Apart from that, a lovely stay.

he hotel had an excellent location in the city center, very convenient to reach by tram or taxi. Despite being in a busy area, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. Our spacious room included a kettle with coffee, which was a nice touch. The bathroom was well-stocked with towels, toiletries like bath gel, body cream, and shampoo, and even hand soap - everything needed for a short stay. The Wi-Fi connection was fast and easy to use, and there were plenty of power outlets in the room. Breakfast offered a good variety of hot and cold options, with delicious croissants being a highlight. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel also kindly stored our luggage before check-in, which was helpful as we arrived early. While the exterior of the building might not be the most attractive, the interior was a delightful combination of antique and modern décor. Overall, we had a great experience.

Overall an excellent stay, would definitely return. Great location close to tram stop (Stadthuis) for access to Den Haag or other areas of Rotterdam. Also close to tourist information, comfortable walking distance to Erasmus bridge for harbour tours or Waterbus, or can get the tram closer. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Room was very quiet despite hotel being on the main road. Staff were friendly and efficient & happy to help with luggage storage before check-in & after check out. Nice to have the option of rooms not being cleaned every day for longer stays (& receive free drink voucher if opt out of cleaning) Good sized room, plenty of storage space, armchairs & desk and large bathroom including bath tub. Breakfast was fine for me but choices of some items more limited than I might have expected for this size/rating of hotel.

It could be difficult to get space in the breakfast room at popular times & staff seemed to struggle to restock items quickly enough (both food and crockery/glasses for juice etc). Choices of some items quite limited e.g bread rolls, cereal. Cereals in quite small awkward containers & both these and yogurts emptied quickly. Lifts are fairly small so although there are 3 of them you may have to wait a while at busy times around breakfast/check-out.
