The room was comfortable and clean, with a great shower and a very comfortable bed. Plenty of electrical sockets and a well lit mirror. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the building was very quiet despite being very close to the train station - also no noisy lifts, gurgling pipes or slamming doors. Location was very convenient and the amazing decor made for a great atmosphere, and a hotel that is actually fun to spend time in!

There was nothing I didn't like.

Funky design of the hotel is very interesting. Although some regular hotel features may be absent here, it is central and convenient. The staff are super friendly and super helpful. Nothing is too much hassle for them. Food is lovely too. There are no coffee or tea making facilities in the room and there are no windows but they leave coffee and tea in communal areas during the morning and afternoon. I forgot my hairdryer but the reception had one to loan for guests. Wouldn't be a business style hotel but perfect for a tourist exploring. The room, towels and bed linen are changed after 3 days but if you need clean towels before that the reception provided them. They have a chat facility also where they are very quick to respond to queries you might have. Genuinely had a lovely stay here. Very easy going relaxing place to base yourself. The room I had was very spacious which was great.

No lift but I had read that in reviews prior to arriving and someone did help us all the way to the room with the cases which was really great. Thank you!

The receptionist was very friendly, informative and helpful. She let us know directly that there was no elevator for guests. With a kid and a stroller, she gave us the solution to store the stroller in the room next to the receptionist desk. We love the colorful living areas inside and outside. We used them to relax after a long day and had our dinner outside. My son and I loved to play with the giant chess outside. It was very calm area too. The breakfast was really what we needed. Small options, giod quality and no waste. Thanks for doing extra to prepare the breakfast for my son.

The hotel is smaller than expected. No elevator to second Floor, I would have been more prepared if I knew it before. The step stairs were unexpected but my 2-y.o. managed it well. The room was really small. They could have installed some hooks for towels and portable hanging shelves for more storing places tho.

You couldn't ask for better location. The staff were so lovely, the place was so cool/funky - the creativity was amazing I loved it and the little welcome note was touching. It comes across as a lively place but it must have been off peak because there was barely anyone around. Kevin Bacon restaurant the food was delicious.

The buffet breakfast but then it didn't help that I only arrived 30 minutes before the end so that was probably my fault. I didn't like the frequent dropping water type noise coming from the wall.

It is right next to the central train station. We walked everywhere from here. The designs were joyful. I have never been anywhere like this before. We stayed at the Secret Book Room. There's free coffee and tea next to the candy house. We asked for extra blankets and a hairdryer. Also, you can leave your luggage in their storage. Beds were comfy. No noise, no disturbances.

There is a separate toilet, but the shower is in the room right next to the bed. If you are with friends, keep in mind.

It's a very interesting design of the hotel and a challenge to find a door lock:) Overall I liked my experience, although it was pretty cold in the night and the AC couldn't help a lot.

Unfortunately my sink was clogged from the very beginning. Messages here on the booking app were not answered at all. So I told someone in the bar the first night. But I guess they forgot to notify anyone about the issue. Next evening I told another girl on the reception and only on the third day they fixed it.. But then they removed all the towels from my room.. So, it's a little bit of a mess in the organization but they were always friendly:)

The hotel is located near the central station, there is plenty of transport. Cafes and supermarkets are very close by. The zoo is a 15-minute walk away, as are the city centre and restaurants. The hotel is very quiet, compact and comfortable. All rooms are with a double bed, which makes it great for a couple's holiday. The beds are large and very comfortable, the linen is clean and the room was very tidy. The staff are just wonderful! Everyone I spoke to was incredibly polite and competent. The breakfast was fresh but not fancy compared to other hotels. The overall impression of the hotel design is very nice! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

The design of the hotel is amazing and we were even given a tour of the building when we checked in! Was really cool to have a nosy around. We booked one of the hidden bookcase rooms which was a lot of fun, I did have issues opening the door but my partner had no issues so it might just be a me issue! On check-in they left an origami tulip and a little note on the bed which was a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome. The staff were super friendly throughout the trip (at one point we ordered food to the hotel and the delivery driver got lost, but luckily a staff member was in the reception and spoke dutch on our behalf to guide the driver) and they have a separate room to leave luggage if you want to explore Rotterdam a bit more after check-out. Location was excellent as well, literally round the corner from Rotterdam Centraal (great for us as we spent the trip taking trains to various cities in The Netherlands including a trip to Efetling)

Room was compact but I didn't find it too small, because of the size though the shower, toilet, and sink were not all together in one ensuite but spread out in the room. This was fine, but the shower door was semi-transparent and the toilet door had gaps that you could see through, so only book if you're okay with potentially seeing the person you share the room with on the loo and in the shower.

The location is excellent, just 5 minutes' walk from Rotterdam Centraal. From here you can get everywhere in Rotterdam. The design brought an immediate smile to my face. The room was fine - small as is typical Dutch, with steep stairs to get to it which is also typical Dutch, and it was spotless.

Although coffee is free, there isn't anything to go with it. Something simple like a croissant would be nice. The hotel sells a full breakfast for $15, but that is bigger than I like in the morning.

Located a block away from the main train station, the hotel was very easy to find. It came in extremely useful when rushing to catch a tram to our planned activities. The best part, however, was the mesmerizing designs inside of the hotel, which felt the trippiest at night. It was truly like discovering a fantasy land!

There's quite a bit of stairs to get through to access some of the rooms. While it's not a huge amount of walking, the stairs are rather shallow and sometimes steep, which required extra attention even wearing normal, city-walking shoes. I'd advise to keep it in mind when packing for the trip - better take bags that are easy to carry upstairs.
