Normally I only give a review if everything goes wrong or everything is perfect. This is defiantly the second case. That was a perfect stay. The hotel itself was wonderful. A large building with a beautiful surrounding. A stunning garden (especially in autumn) and a large parking with 4 charging ports for the EV cars. Parking: parking in the center is really hard to find and not cheap, so I was very happy to find this hotel with a parking in the city. Parking is not free but still cheaper than when parking on the street. Restaurant is open for public so the parking might be busy in the evening Room: very large rooms, a lot of storage space and everything you really need. Room was very clean and quite. Style was modern but still respecting the classic design of the hotel. Restaurant/Bistro: they have a restaurant and a bistro. The bistro is the less expensive option. We only went to the bistro and really loved everything. Service was friendly, food was delicious. I really cant imagine what the restaurant could do better. Like mentioned the restaurant is open to public so you need to make a reservation Location: really perfect. You are in the city center, shopping street and touristic attraction are 5 minutes away. Despite the central location it is quite without any traffic noise. Staff: very friendly, always smiling and very helpful. We had a wonderful stay and we are for sure coming back

Superb location. From the rear of the hotel you are in the centre of Utrecht, from the front a 10-min walk to train station. The staff were very friendly and offered excellent service. The buffet breakfast was amazing. A truly 5 star hotel but with high prices.

The pool was too tiny (even for 1 person) with a jacuzzi beside it, gym was small too. Not a place to entertain kids or active adults. Also do note for families that the hotel only has single rollaway beds and not a proper single bed as per Booking.com description.

The staff were very, very helpful and friendly, starting with the porter Redo who ran out far into the courtyard to help us with suitcases. At breakfast, Francesca and other waiters were very welcoming and helpful, Francesca even left a note for the next morning staff about what my mother liked for breakfast (because my mother was on her own and her English is not very good).

We never managed to get lunch or dinner in the whole week that we stayed. The restaurant and bistro were always fully booked or closed. We had a couple of meals at dinner time at the bar where proper food is served until 3 or after 21:30. The waiter said the kitchen would make the lunch dishes anyway, and one time they did, but another time they produced an abbreviated version that was not very nice (just the meat without bread, coleslaw, pickles etc. that were supposed to go with it according to the menu) - we sent it back.

This is a beautiful 5star hotel in a perfect location only a 7 minute walk from the central train station. The hotel has a back gate that leads directly into the old historic part of Utrecht. This is a large property with lovely outdoor dining and bar areas in the gardens and patios. The room was quite large and bright with a table and two chairs in a sitting area. I liked the two big windows with window seats and pleasant views over a canal and a garden. The room was immaculate and quiet. There was great attention to detail such as soft bathrobes, a stocked refrigerator with a bar menu, a full length mirror, quality toiletries, a safe for valuables, comfortable bedding, good lighting and tasteful updated furnishings. The staff were cheerful and attentive. They contacted me when I booked online to ask if I had any requests for my stay there. I did not have a chance to visit the fitness Center or to have breakfast in the hotel. I would highly recommend as a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. I hope to come back.

I would have liked a little brochure that gives the history of this lovely property. I never fully understood the history. But there isn’t anything I didn’t like.

I stayed in a renovated room in the seperate wing. Large and clean.

I would have preferred a room in the main, original, building where there is a more authentic atmosphere. Dissapointîg roof view. It was almost impossible to get a table in the restaurant even though it was empty. Finally it appeared that all tables were booked throughout the evening but as i was there at 6:30pm I arguee that probalbly not everyone would show up at that same time. Eventually they said that they had to keep two tables for hotel guests. The had ´t bothered to ask in first instance that I might be a guest.

Great historic environment with a large private yard / garden with a private gate to city center.h Very good bed. Spa was free of charge and open from 6 am to 11 pm and it had a real Finnish sauna. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a lot of local ingredients and options to order specialities like eggs benedict with salmon. We got the rooms right away even though we arrived very early, which was a big help.

All the info of the hotel and services in the room was available only on Dutch language. The steam room in the spa didn't function.

All was to our expectations! The breakfast room was exceptional whilst the offering at breakfast were just good. Location was very good with walking access to the central city. Parking was also very good and at a reasonable price.

As I have said, the breakfast could be a bit more up-scale for the class of Hotel and the fantastic room it was served-in! The room was really great however access was only by means of walking to a nearby building and in our case through rain! walk

The hotel is located within walking distance of Utrecht central station. It is located in a beautiful former monastery with a lot of history and character. I enjoyed the breakfast with its great selection and service. I also enjoyed walking around the compound of the hotel, which I found soothing and relaxing. We really enjoyed the split level room that we stayed in. The living area is located upstairs and the bed downstairs. The room was very quiet and we slept well.

There was some confusion with the reception staff and unfortunately I was charged twice for my room, once on this website and once on checkout. When I discovered this issue a few days after checking out of the hotel, I was referred to the reservation department and they managed to organize a refund on my card almost immediately which rectified the situation.

The room was large, enough space to sit and work for a few hours. No noise from other rooms and the bathroom was very well equipped. We did use the bar in the hotel which was very nice. Staff was extremely nice. Parking was very good, although it was low season I believe not enough parking places when the hotel is full. Also positive that the parking was for free.

32 euro for Breakfast, I wish you could also choose a la carte. I only eat some fruit and drink some coffee, paying 32 euro is too much.

The room was spotless and so spacious for 3 of us who were sharing. There were 6 windows in our room overlooking the courtyard area behind the hotel. Beds were really comfy, we all slept so well. Breakfast wasnt included in our rate but we had breakfast one day which was spectacular. So many options from fruits, yogurts, breads, cheeses, hot food and menu options prepared on demand. The staff there and in reception were courteous and so helpful. The spa in the hotel was amazing - we used it once. We also hired the hotel bikes. Hotel location was 10-12 min walk from the main train station. Couldnt fault this hotel, would definitely stay again.

The day we tried the Bistro, the service was slow so we didnt stay.
