The after hours duty manager was lovely! Upon check-in he helped us park our awkwardly large hire car and on our last night when we returned to find someone had taken our carpark, he assisted us in finding an alternative 😅 Clean, great shower, good bed, awesome movie library.

Location is what it is, some colourful characters outside but nothing to be too worried about ☺️ Whilst our car was large, the carparks are very very small, only a small hatch could fit. If you're coming with a hire car and the hire company offer you an upgrade to a bigger car - don't take it 🤣 After hours phone line needs some work, got bounced around 3 times before someone said they'd contact the duty manager.

This is a typical Quest property, comfortable and well appointed. My apartment had three rooms: a bedroom, a bathroom and a large living room with kitchen facilities. It is centrally located, a very short walk from the Skycity Bus Terminal from where Intercity coaches to many other New Zealand cities and Skyrider buses to Auckland Airport depart. I arrived early and was able to store my luggage prior to formally checking in. The reception staff were friendly and obliging. My room was very quiet and I had a very good night's sleep on both nights I stayed there.

It is outside the control of the property but my review has a qualification on "location": Hobson Street is central and the property is close to the bus terminal but that part of Hobson Street is also a bit "grungy" even if by world standards it is not really unsafe.

The one-bedroom unit was spacious, comfortable bed, fluffy pillows & aircon was great. The shower had excellent pressure. Kitchen was well stocked. One of the standout features of this hotel is its convenience. There's an express supermarket next door along with a Subway which made grabbing snacks incredibly easy. Location is also perfect, close to various eateries, shops, handy to Sky City bus stop. Service at the reception was exceptional. Staff welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The hotel is generally well-maintained and has a warm, inviting atmosphere.

One downside was the nearby homeless shelter. People often gathered outside the hotel & smell of marijuana and at times this made the area feel a bit unsafe. The hotel reception was also directly affected by this, which posed a challenge at times. But I still highly recommend this hotel. The great location, comfortable rooms & helpful service outweigh the challenges posed by the surrounding area. If you’re planning a trip to Auckland, this hotel is definitely worth considering for a comfortable and convenient stay.

This quest is in a great location, just one block from the entrance to SKY City and three from Queen St. There are plenty of food options within an easy walk, and the convenience store and the Subway next door are both open until 10pm. The staff were very kind and friendly, and the room was very clean. Very reasonable value for money given the central location. I would definitely visit here again.

There are a few little quirky things, like the lift call buttons only being wired to a single lift, which was odd. Also, the aircon kept on re-setting itself to 25 degrees after a short while of being on 18 degrees. If you are going to have guest-controlled aircon, it should work properly. I would prefer a more comfortable easy chair for watching the TV on, the one in the room felt like I was in a doctor's waiting room.

Much of the area around the building is under construction - streets and buildings. That said it is a perfect location for its proximity to the SkyCity Bus terminal ( airport and intercity bus services), without walking up or down hills, as this Quest is on the same street, nice and level. . In addition, at street level there are two convenience stores and a Subway. One convenience store also sells take away food and drinks. I also much appreciated the extensive free movie options. I was at the end of my trip and it was lovely to just relax in front of the tv and do some washing before heading home.

It was in city center where we could access any places. Staff were very kind. The room was bigger than I expected. It was skycity tower view which was amazing. Enjoyed to stay for 3nights.

Little bit noisy at night time, as it was located in city centre. But it didnt bother me too much. I think it will be great if it was cleaned behind of the beds and windows. I was going to charge my phone in the room, and found many dusts on the floor and behind of beds. Windows were little bit messy with bird feces. Dishes were not cleaned properly. Maybe they were used from prev customers. I had to wash again and again before using dishes.

Very comfortable room with a well stocked kitchenette, big bed just firm enough to not get buried in cushions, good pressure in the shower. I didn't use the wifi much but it was stable when I did, the washing machine and dryer were greatly appreciated and worked fine. The whole place is very clean and well maintained - in particular there were no unpleasant pipe reflux smells in the bathroom which is a common feature of serviced apartment types of hotels, in my experience. Managed by competent, pleasant and responsive individuals.

It was a very cold few days and the guidelines provided on the welcome guide for how to turn on the heat-pump in my room was no help. Nothing that Google could not fix, thankfully.

Having a little kitchenette, bed was comfortable, not too high up, lady at reception was friendly and helpful, good location for dining out, visiting gallery, and hop on, hop off bus and airport bus, grocery stores closeby, shower good.

My flight got in very early and I was tired.. Was told to return hours later. The light in my bathroom wasn't working. I told them about it, but nothing was done. A man in the lift leaned against the bar and it fell down and he almost did too. Couldn't figure out which channel had a news broadcast and when? .

Booked a studio room, but for some reason we were put in a one bedroom apartment. Did not complain of course! Everything was clean and tidy and functional. We were in a room at the back of the property and our “view” was looking straight at another apartment block. Not very inspiring. However, I think due to the location of our room we had zero noise; it was very quiet and we slept well. Overall, the room was good, and it was more than adequate for a short stay. The location of the property is very good being on one of the main city streets.

It was perfect for my week long stay in Auckland. It was one block away from a bus transit and the sky tower. Plus a literal 5-10 minute walk ti the wharf and queen st where there was heaps of shops. The apartment had a kitchenette, including a stovetop, which was perfect for cooking simple meals.

The hotel is next to a church, and they get really noisy around religious holidays. So bad timing on my part, but the bells rang for a whole hour straight between 8pm-9pm which was quite unfortunate. Not the hotels fault, but quite inconvenient.
