Perfect location for accessing different parts of the city. Bus stop just around the corner, great restaurants, coffee shops and pubs depending on what you’re feeling like. Quiet and comfortable for the most.

The lounge and armchair were not very comfortable for sitting in. They were very low to the ground and after a long day of walking around, just took that bit extra to get up from! We missed out on parking for the first night of 4, so we had to use the public parking in the open lot next door. It worked out pretty expensively and we had to keep going back to top it up to extend the 24 hour coverage until we could access the hotel’s carpark

The location was awesome...1min walk to the venue of the concert I came down for. 3-minute walk to the bus stop that takes you to and from the airport ($8 return, so cheap and better than the $78 Uber return). Great food place options right outside the hotel entrance, bottle store, cafe, hairdressers, and the old cathedral as your neighbor. Staff were great, quick, and really helpful. I was upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment as well. It was spacious and had everything I needed and more. Great

Smoke alarm kept going off in my original room, and there was no bin in my upgraded room. But to be honest, they were fixed easily.

Central location, right next to tram, New Regent Street and Cathedral square - so easy access to almost everything. easy walking distance to Restaurants like Mumbaiwalla, Bahn Mei Kitchen for pho. Quick tram ride to stop 4 Riverside Markets and stop 13 Botanic Gardens. Reception staff very obliging/ helpful. One night was in one building, a second stay was in the other with access inside the Cathedral Junction arcade area. A minor matter when it came time to check out. Staff called taxi for me - everything went smoothly. Only disruption was someone outside singing late at night - out on street. Otherwise, a great place to base yourself.

Location prohibits always having parking access outside check-in/entrance due to tram. Worked out in the end. Not having dining in-house wasn't an issue - lots of eateries in New Regent Street plus Child Sister nearby.

The room was of a good size and quality, with a comfortable bed. The shower was amongst the most soothing ve ever had at a hotel, feeling almost like a massage. It was also fairly quiet, especially with the tram underneath the hotel stopping at around 5pm. I arrived slightly earlier than my check in time, but the ladies behind the counter was very friendly and allowed me in the room earlier. The TV was decent enough, although the power cable kept coming loose.

The only minor complaint I would really have is that whilst the tram stopped earlier enough, the lights from the shopping area stayed on long into the night, and the morning, and the curtains could only stop so much light. Other than that, it was a fairly solid experience.

Excellent location, just next to the Hop-on Hop-off Tram at Cathedral Junction. Plenty of space to relax, with TV, sofa, dining table etc. Excellent shower and bathroom. Very close to New Regent Street with great eating and drinking places, and walkable to the Bus Interchange. Definitely recommend for location. Also very convenient to have washing machine. Staff helpful to print out a couple of booking emails.

Only one lift, so occasionally had to wait, but only a short while. Front desk staff not 100% sure of some of the detail in the room compendium - used our own research to book airport shuttle, look for postage, etc.

Very, very spacious kitchen, dining, lounge & bedrooms. Plenty of light in living areas & small balcony slowed fresh air. Bed very comfortable. Superb location to walk or tram around Christchurch. Restaurants close by. Washing & drying facilities. Free movies. Helpful staff. Tram noise was expected & not a bother & stopped before our bedtime.

Paid carpark very narrow entry & sites are very awkward & small even for a medium sedan. Visitors with larger cars or vans need a different place to park & spaces should be alocated according to size of vehicle. Although kitchen fairly well stocked, but, a larger frypan & either scissors or small sharp knife next time please. Some of us need to cook such as people with food allergies. I have Coeliac disease therefore main reason for booking apartments.

Location is great! Walking distance from the city shops, tons of places to eat, including dessert, plus great coffee shops! I didn’t personally cash out on the $25 breakfast voucher but if you’re someone who gets hungry in the morning it’s probably not terrible value given the prices of the local cafes. Heater in the room worked a treat in cold weather and the bed was very comfortable. Price point at the time of stay was very good.

- The Hallways leading up to your room are colder then outside. - The parking lot is very tight!! Lucky we were driving a Swift or it could of been a problem. - Room could use minor touch ups - paint, cracked benchtops, etc.

The location was great so close to everything in the city and our one bedroom apartment was fine with all the facilities we required. The receptionist was always helpful when we arrived and asked questions throughout our stay. We loved the tram stop.

The lounge suite was so low and difficult to get out of and the bathroom very small. There was some noise from the arcade and tram station below and on Friday night there was loud music until 10pm from an adjacent venue Church and then the patrons made a lot of noise on their way home.

The location right in the heart of Christchurch at the tram station and in easy reach of eateries and cultural venues couldn't have been better. The kitchen is well equipped and nicely separated from the spacious lounge area, as is the bedroom. It could easily have served as a home base for longer than the 3 days we had there.

Noise from the tram stop and social venues was a little intrusive at times but not a deal-breaker and really only a problem because I'm a fresh-air freak who had to have the windows open. With them closed it was hardly noticeable at all.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Quest Cathedral, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. One of the standout features of this hotel is its excellent location. Situated just a few blocks away from a multitude of restaurants and shops, I found it incredibly convenient to explore the local area on foot. It made dining out and shopping an absolute breeze. One of the unexpected highlights of my stay was discovering a charming library only two blocks away from the hotel. It was a pleasant surprise and a great place to spend some quiet, leisurely hours. The staff at Quest Cathedral are truly exceptional. They are not only professional but also incredibly kind and helpful. During my stay, there was a minor issue with the heating element in my room sparking, which could have been uncomfortable and dangerous given the time of year. However, the hotel staff promptly brought me a new heating element, ensuring I didn't have to endure the cold. Their quick response and attentiveness made me feel well taken care of. The daily room cleaning service was also much appreciated. It kept the room fresh and tidy throughout my stay. Speaking of the room, I stayed in a one-bedroom or study apartment, and it was well-equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The presence of a fridge and microwave allowed me to prepare and store food in my room, which was convenient. Although there was no heating element in the room itself, it was not needed due to the efficiency of the heating system. Overall, my experience at Quest Cathedral was excellent. The combination of a great location, friendly and responsive staff, and well-appointed rooms made my stay truly enjoyable. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in the area.

Did not affect me much , the king bed was two twins together. Weather was really bad for two days but that is not the hotels fault.
