Excellent location, walking distance from point of interest in the City. Very clean, very comfortable. The eatery next door has an excellent coffee and great breakfast offering, the french bakery across the road has some awesome pastry and pretzels

The smoke area was next to our window, that was not pleasant, There is no wardrobe for you stuff, the room is very compact. You need to pay for overnight parking (but you may be able to find a spot on the street overnight but do not park on the street during the day, it is a 60 min limit).

- Location - eventhough a litlle walk involved to real City Center I totally loved the enviroment with the little Shopping street nearby as well as quite a selection of coffee shops, restaurants Cleanliness

- Room a bit small (no table/sitting option other than bed) not a lot of space for luggage, for me alone ok, but for 2 people with suitcases .... - having had a room 1st floor to the frontside = street and hotels parking lot, you might need to expect also during night some related noise (e.g. late arriving/early leaving people, rubbish trucks)

Have stayed at Southwark a number of times now and the rooms there are always reliably comfortable quiet, and clean. No difference this time, the room was on the 1st floor, stair access from reception. Reception staff was very friendly and welcoming and helped find a bigger carpark for the particular vehicle I was driving (parking is limited and needs to be booked and is charged for on top of room rate). Room itself was quiet, bed was comfortable and the air con was turbo charged! A range of channels available on the TV and the central city location is surprisingly quiet while still have fast walk or scooter access to the CBD.

First of all the location was amazing! A few minutes walk from Little High Eatery and a few rather nice bars! The location in the CBD ment a nice casual stroll to the cathedral and some other sights around the city. The rooms all be a bit on the tiny side were spotless and comfortable with an added bonus of Air-Con in each room

The few letdowns we experienced were the lack of parking available on site (we had to park on the street) The room we had was quite noisy even tho we were on the 2nd floor we could hear all the guests going in and out of the reception.

Central location close to the majority of things a visitor to Christchurch needs. Perfect size room for one person. The women from housekeeping were all very kind and friendly.

This was a last minute reservation. I didn’t like that my room category was next to a drive that was used as parking - however an upgraded room in the garden wasn’t worth the extra cost. There wasn’t a sink large enough to brush your teeth at in the bathroom - so I had to use the slightly larger kitchen sink.

Loved the location & the staff were very helpful. Room was clean, modern & kitchen well stocked . Lovely comfortable beds.

The first night was very noisy, as we could hear the music from the nearby nightclub? I was surprised that there was only one exit (one way in & one way out) Wouldn't like to be in the building if there was a fire or earthquake & the exit was blocked. No way out of the windows either , as they only opened so far. Surprised that after the recent earthquake in Christchurch, that there would have been at least two ways out of the building.

The room is clean and the kitchen has everything we need. The location is great, within walking distance to food and grocery stores. I left my sunglasses after checkout, the receptionist kept them safe and I managed to collect them.

The bed was next to the window, which was cold for the person sleeping next to the window. Besides that, their private car park is limited, and the parking lot nearby charged $15 for overnight and it was located quite a distance. Is hard to find parking on the street. If you planning to call to check whether there is parking available and reserve it, research first before you book

Warm welcome at reception with an easy check in. Room was so clean with lovely linen on the bed. Complimentary Tea/coffee/chocolate plus a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and fridge. I want to thank Southwark for being so kind to me and allowed me to use their phone as I’d left my glasses on the bus. I am so pleased I stayed here for the night, I wished it could have been longer. Location was perfect, 6 min walk to Bus Interchange/Intercity plus CBD and shopping mall. WiFi was super quick. Fantastic stay, thank you!

Great staff, we arrive early (10 am) and they let us wait in the shared kitchen where we could warm us up with tea/coffee and protected from the rain until our room was ready around noon. It was really nice and much appreciated. The room itself has everything we needed. We had a great time and slept like babies. The price was nice and the hotel is really well located, walking distance to good restaurants and city centre. Perfect. The room was on the ground floor with windows on a footpath/parking spots but not crowded and there was curtains so no problem for us.

Very comfy bed, nice warm room. Room clean and modern with good shower. Nice selection of teas and toiletries. Really good location, only about 10mins walk into city centre. Staff really helpful and friendly. Used wifi for work and very reliable.

Note the room is quite small, plenty of room for a single person with good sized desk and bed but would be a bit tight for a couple, especially with two suitcases. Also got a bit unlucky on Saturday night with loud bass music playing nearby until about midnight unsure if this was a one off.
