This motel is a hidden gem , ok it’s not 5 star but it’s centrally situated on the edge of the city centre and on an excellent bus route. The room was clean and tidy bed must have been super good as my partner complained about snoring hahaha honestly it was excellent. I stayed in room 8 queen and single had a twin hot plate , microwave toaster and kettle, spacious room and quite . The best is the safe undercover parking . I’d recommend this motel to anyone , the own Brian was a super host made you feel so welcome . I’ll be back

Brian - the motel host was always pleasant and approachable and very helpful.

Although there is off-street covered parking, spaces are limited and not sufficient if all guests have a vehicle and are not allocated so they are on a first in basis (possibly should charge a little extra and allocate parks, or give a slightly reduced rate to those who park off site or do not have a vehicle) so if you have a park and go out - you know it will still be available on return.

Location was only 10-15 mins walk to city - other stores -_Briscoes, Rebel Spirt,Spitlight,Noel leemings only 5-7mins from motel -1 block Sth cross roAd to East and all are within the block. Countdown 10-12mins walk - Moray Place - quicker access via Great king Street

We are travelling around NZ on a motorcycle and arrived at the motel after a very wet ride and were delighted to find that the parking was under cover. The room was small but very clean, quiet and the motel amazingly close to the centre of Dunedin. A great bonus when travelling as we are, allowing us to walk out for meals and most of the places of interest. We were made very welcome by the management and staff. Excellent value.

For the price and position, what's not to like

Friendly and helpful staff. Laundry facilities & detergent provided: freedom to do your own washing. Extra items provided in the room like air fresher, hand sanitising liquid & free wifi.

The busy rose painting on the wall. Preferred a plain white wall.

Lovely and clean. Loved that such a small and affordable room had a fridge, jug, microwave, and toaster. I’ve been in more expensive places that couldn’t even offer complimentary tea. Very impressed. Thank you.

For the price we paid, I have no complaints.

The property is old but clean and had everything you need cleverly built in to every nook and cranny. The location is amazing. It is only a short walk to city centre where you can find all you need.

Nothing but keep a close eye out for the signage to the car park which is down an alley way.

It was nice and quiet but still very central. The bed was super comfy. Had everything I needed and wifi didn't cut out like it does in some motels. Was greeted by lovely man. Definitely would stay there again.

Brian is extremely friendly and accommodating, making the stay feel welcoming. The building may be old however, Brian has done an amazing job to keep clean, tidy, homey.

Loved the under cover parking! The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was warm and comfortable. The location was great, just a short walk to the Octagon.

Very small kitchen but was okay for our needs. Not a great view from the window!
