Clean, location was beautiful, easy parking.

My only complaint is that they would not allow us to have a later check-out time. They even said no to just 30 min extra time.

We just stayed for a night at the property and wish we had time to stay more and explore it properly, but its a huge place for campervans as well as chalet rooms. The shared facilities were also nice and the room was very clean which was admirable!

The bathroom and kitchen facilities are very clean but unfortunately, in the washroom, there were many people who were not flushing the toilets after using it and most of them especially at night were dirty. Its not the fault of the owners but as its a shared property and so many people uses it, if possible a 24*7 maintenance would help to keep the toilets cleaner. Also, body wash & shampoo were not provided in the shared washrooms.

The location right on the lake is beautiful. We stayed in one of the cabins, which was roomy and very warm, especially with the heated mattress pad! The shared bathrooms are in the main building, only a few steps away, and they are super clean and spacious, no waiting to use a shower. We didn't use the communal kitchen much, but it was massive, well stocked, and a busy place where guest congregated to make meals and hang out. Little tip, they have hot tubs you can rent for an hour and Driftaway offers 50% for people staying at the hotel! The hot tubs are in private cabins that overlook the lake, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the area.

I liked everything! Of course I wish the bathroom wasn't in a separate building, but I knew about that when I first made my reservation. This place is a great deal and offers so much in terms of amenities and lodging.

Stayed in a cabin. Wow what a location. Queenstown CBD is not within walking distance, however there's a water taxi service. Water/ mountain views were spectacular. Great pub across the road. Room was spacious clean modern. Would defiantly stay again.

Even though the property had let me know that the cabin had no toilet or washing facilities. We found that they were a bit of a walk upstairs from our cabin. Anyone with mobility issues would find this a problem.

We had a very small "cabin" in what is primarily a camper/tent parl. Everything was very clean, including the central facility. The queen bed was in the sitting/kitchen area with no door for privacy. Two twin beds in a room with a door. Single bathroom for all. Good for one night, and location was very nice close to the lake and walking path and easy access to a water taxi to Queenstown and a great breakfast spot on the water. Very quiet area despite airport nearby. Quick access to the airport.

Not having a door for the shared bedroom/kitchen/sitting area. Not realizing this was primarily for camper vans and tents and we were one of only a few of these types of units.

Great location on the lake. Well-equipped unit and very comfortable. Couple of design flaws though.

Some design flaws in these units. Firstly, the switches for the bed-side reading lights are at head height, so you have to get out of bed to turn them on and off. Secondly, the door to the unit is made of metal and acts like a huge radiator once the sun gets on it. So hot you can barely touch it and then heats up the room so that it is too hot inside.

We stayed in the little cabins and they were cute and cozy. We were happy with our stay and will look into booking again in the future. The spas are nice also.

We asked for clean towels so we could have a morning shower before going out and the staff got a bit funny about it and told us to leave the thing on the door but we had booked things to do and couldn't wait for them to come in after 11 to change our towels 🤷🏼‍♀️

amazing facilities - the showers, toilets and kitchen were always clean; the entertainment very much appreciated for big kids in adult bodies, lovely view, great vibe, maybe specific to our stay - but always a lovely aroma floating from the shared kitchen

very small issue but the positioning of the beds wasn’t ideal - we’d have liked to wake up facing the view and not have to contort ourselves to watch the tv

The panoramic views of the lake and mountains were stunning. The studio had everything we needed - all comms were very clear. This wasn't a biggie but an FYI - The layout of the room. It was slightly awkward to enjoy watching a movie in bed after a long day out as the TV didn't extend out far enough, so we rearranged the room to suit and put it back the way we found it. It would've been nice to have a sheer curtain to enjoy the view during the day without the cold beeeze as there was no privacy when we pulled back to curtains back and at night when the light is on... it shon onto the RVs below, which made us close the thermal curtain.. other than that, it's a cute villa.

Nice spacious room with plenty of room to chill out, was lovely to sit outside and look at the lake while drinking a cup of tea. You 100% MUST book the hot pools - they give a discount for guests and its soooo nice, I enjoyed it more than the onsen place tbh, felt more peaceful and less busy.

Honestly not a lot I didn't like, only thing is that when you're outside you can hear the planes as its in the flight path, but inside the rooms it wasn't loud at all.
