Very good place to stay in Rotorua. The room was lovely and the spa bath in the bathroom was huge and fun. The pool was good and we enjoyed the ping pong and mini golf - so great to have when you are travelling with kids and you just want to lounge around for an afternoon. The room was serviced daily and to a good standard which isn't always the case in Rotorua and it is one of the reasons that I will be back to stay again for sure.

Actually, I liked everything!

Nice welcome to the hotel, handed a start up of some milk and cookies. Good selection of tourist info at the reception area, and the team made us welcome, good directions to our room from where we parked as well. Handy little site map given out too. Room was clean and tidy, well laid out and pretty comfortable, felt like it had been refurbished recently as well. Kitchen nice and tidy with a good range of utensils. Bathroom had a spa bath that was clen and really easy to use. All up a decent place to stay

Not much to add here - there wasn't really anything we didn't like.

It’s always a pleasure to stay in Regal Palms, this was my second time here. But, was few disappointed things, no all tv’s in the hotel are smart tv, please Regal Palms, nowadays people don’t watch tv. Having access to login to my YouTube channel or Netflix will be amazing! My kids are addicted toto YouTube kids so having a holiday accommodation with that would be awesome. The staff manage to connect the smart tv function in one tv so that was so helpful. We kindly asked for a late check out, because travelling with 2 small kids and one dementia grandma it’s exhausting, we had 30 mins extra, which was a bit disappointing because in our first stay we had 1 hra extended late check out. They wanted to charge us extra $60 for 30 mins extra. Not good on it Far from that everything is good, awesome cleaning service, comfortable luxury suite with a lot of space and the private jacuzzi in the bathroom is a big plus! Our kids enjoyed! We would recommend to turn on the lights in the tennis court a bit earlier during winter, it was 6.30 pm when we wanted to play and was already dark outside, I asked reception if they could turn on the lights and they told me that can’t be done because it turn on automatically at 8 pm, 😕 somehow it turned earlier after someone spotted us playing in the dark. Same with the mini golf area, needs more illumination at night, specially during winter can’t be seen nothing in that area, and the Ping pong 🏓 table needs to be change, the net support keeps falling apart. Hope my suggestion could be taken into consideration.

Loved all the activities you could do for free within the facility! Our room was spacious and comfortable the spa pool was amazing and so was the shower! Bed was luxurious and comfortable, amenities within the room was great! The staff were approachable, available, friendly, easy to talk to and really helpful! We really enjoyed our stay here!

I was a bit upset that we couldn't use the pool as that's what I was looking forward to the most but there was nothing much the staff could do to change that and that was understandable.

The Resort is well located and easy to find from the main highways. It is located on one of the main roads into the centre, walkable as on the flat, but also easy to drive into. Good access to supermarket and other amenities. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, lots of storage. Kitchenette was well equipped. Use of the private terrace area at rear was a bonus. There was plenty of parking available, though we were not there at a busy time. Communal facilities on the resort were good, including pool, tennis court and communal garden areas with seating and BBQ for guests use. Unfortunately we did not have the time to use. Whilst there would recommend Urbano Bistro, with 15 minutes walking distance, and the Polynesian Spa.

Spacious room and bathroom. Quiet and within a 5 to 10 minute drive of the town center where there are lots of choices of restaurants and retail shopping. AC and WiFi worked really well. We also liked being able to park right next to our room. We did not use the multitude of amenities so we can't comment on that.

The bed mattress was too soft for our taste and it would have been nice to have a separate bedsheet under the comforter.

We booked one night and enjoyed it so much we booked a second night the next morning! “Superior Studio Suite” was perfect, with a wonderfully comfortable bed, great little kitchenette in the room, and a huge bathroom with spa tub, shower, and heated floors! The staff were all so kind and helpful, even offering to extend guest laundry hours just for us when I was inquiring about the laundry. Great location, as well. Had fun swimming, tennis, mini golf available so I think families would love it. Recommended for all!

Facilities are a bit older but everything was sparkling clean and the age didn’t seem to be a problem. No USB charging ports in the room, but adapters available to borrow at front desk.

The room we had was great! Though this review might be attached to the one we booked, we got upgraded to a larger room on arrival. The bathroom had a very large, 2-person, bubble bath, which was used every night, of course. The bedroom had a small TV and Skybox, separate from the living room, which also had this. We didn't use any of the provided facilities, but there was a mini-golf park right outside the door, a spa room somewhere, a conference room, and a few more amenities. The location, and our duration for the stay, made it so that we primarily used the room for sleeping, as we were close to many activities, parks, and touristy things in and around Rotorua.

Not sure as to the purpose, but when connecting my laptop to the TV, I found an additional HDMI cable connected to the TV which went into the wall, without me finding what it is connected to. That was kind of weird, especially since both TVs (Living room and bedroom) only provided Sky channels via the Skybox, also connected in the living room with its own cable.

Facilities were as described - room suites were a good size, (separate bedroom, kitchenette), private patio at the back, laundry on site with clothes horses to dry if no need for dryer (coins needed but can get them at the front desk), front desk was very helpful on suggestions of things to do. Shirt drive into town. Wi-Fi was good.

On a main road but the rooms at the back are quiet

Couldn't fault it. The room was spacious & warm. Nice & clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was big. Spa was relaxing. Loved the sliding windows. I don't like stepping on cold tiles so it was nice to have the heated floor in the bathroom. Shower was lovely. Great pressure The room had an outside courtyard. The cleaning staff were lovely & helpful. They have a pool, sauna, mini golf & tennis court but the weather was not in our favour to do any of that so we just kicked back & relaxed in our room. Was only intending to stay one night but decided to stay for 2. Would definately stay again.

I didn't like the pillows on the bed. Gave me a sore neck.
