room view location etc

all was well

The gorgeous view!!!! Very clean and well organized accommodation with plenty of privacy and space for us and our adult child. The kitchen was fine to prep a microwave meal and lots of hot drinks in. A quick drive to the nearby supermarket and v close to town itself. The standout was the full glass wall overlooking the water out to Matapihi. So beautiful. Also quiet an extra bonus.

Not sure about the bathroom door? A swing glass affair that didn't completely cover the aperture. It was okay and fine for a couple but a bit inhibiting with a third guest sleeping just outside. Okay for us as a family though.

The room was a nice size, warm and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the snacks and bicies and shower gel products. Bought some upon departing :-) Close to the restaurant we chose to eat at -Italian so walked 10mins and we were there. The view was great! It was quiet and had a great sleep! I wanted to take the bed home! Must find out what make it is :-) The heat pump kept the room nice and warm, being winter. Loved it, would definitely stay again.

We had my husband's ute and the parks were angled so we worried we would get blocked in or not be able to get in but this was not the case. We felt like walking anyway so left it there when we went to dinner. No probs in the morning as I think we were 1 of last to leave.

I was very lucky to be upgraded to a waterfront room, the views were absolutely stunning and being on the ground floor I had a balcony. The bed was amazing. The kitchette very cleverly placed within a large cupboard so it can be shut away. The bathroom beautifully appointed with a great shower and plenty of towels. Supplied a little bottle of milk with plenty of supplies. Location handy to town and anywhere in Tauranga really.

The only moan, and it is very tiny, no instant coffee satchets supplied, plunger coffee or pod coffee. And after being serviced after the first night the dishcloth and tea towel disappeared and not replaced. Not major, just a little frustrating.

I didn't have breakfast as wasn't required and was a late booking of my suite. I liked the friendly and helpful reception attendant. The price was reasonable for what quality of the room you received in comparison to others in the area. I also adored the little extra thoughtful features like the natural products sold at reception that you could try before buying, and brought some to take home. They were so good! My suite had the most comfortable and professional set up, it was so inviting. Can't say enough about how happy I was with the overall experience. Treated myself while over for my sons 21st birthday. I shall be back and shared with family and friends in social media.

I liked everything, and will be back again next time I'm staying in Tauranga.

What a wonderful end to our trip. This must be the best Motel in New Zealand. Excellent reception staff, good parking, lovely room with what must be the best views in the world across Tauranga harbour. Come rain (which it did) or shine (which it also did) we enjoyed being in our lovely unit on the first floor......oceans of space, fabulous views. Beautifully clean. excellent cooking facilities and a comfortable bed. We didn't want to leave.

It had no guest facilities at all. The logging railway had about 3 trains a day running past in the distance but the view made up for that and it was a point of interest. Bit of a climb to the first floor but the room made up for that.

Modern motel with clean and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Though on the edge of the central area of town, it's a relatively easy stroll to the waterfront for a selection of bars and restaurants.

We weren't self catering on this trip. Otherwise the minimal facilities might have been limiting (toaster, kettle and microwave). Next to our room was a toilet for use of a function room, used by large groups. The fan in the toilet was on constantly and was annoying as the noise could be heard in our room.After the (evening) function was over and we worked out what the cause of the noise was we could step outside and turn the light off, which deactivated the fan. Unfortunately the large group had an early start and a very noisy breakfast and departure next morning.

Bedroom, kitchenette, toilet/shower are exceptionally clean, tidy and modern, toiletries provided -lotion/shampoo/cond are of excellent quality, very good smell. Location is walking distance to church and restaurants.

The airconditioning and ceiling fan are on the main bed area only, the cooling is not reaching the beds behind the cabinet/divider. An extra electric fan would be nice, if we had stayed longer than one night, we would have requested for it.

The place is fantastic - can't fault the amenities or the staff for anything. We had an amazing stay. Breakfast was great, bed was comfy, view was spectacular, water pressure in the shower was good, and the room was large.

The only thing I didn't enjoy was the bathroom door was a saloon style glass door that didn't go to the bottom or top of the door opening, so there was no real privacy.

I liked that it was quite a large room, with a fairly modern bathroom and kitchen, and it was very clean. The only thing I found uncomfortable was the fitted sheet had lost it elastic and kept bunching up which is a minor problem, other than that the bed was very comfortable. I would defiantly visit again, the staff were super friendly and it was an amazing location very close to the city.
