We liked our executive room, very spacious and cosy. Enjoyed the shower, didnt get a chance to have a spa, maybe on our next stay, which will be longer. We liked the security latches on the windows and the doors and we felt very safe there. We brought our own towels too, but used your towels in the morning of our last stay. Thank you to the owners, will be definitely returning. We rate Academy Motel Inn a 10.

The only thing we didnt like is the situation with the towels and using them again after already being used. Im not sure if my partner read it right, but I felt it was wrong to re-use them, that is all.

Very immaculate property and super hosts We did find the road works and the nearby roading systms in Tauranga difficult ...one way and no chances of uturns if you didnt take the right turn off. Roadworks were everywhere and the roads were cut to half space and little access to many shops.I feel dreadfully sorry for the business owners in the area as access to their businesses is tricky. But our stay was perfect highly recommend.

Tauranga transport system

A very clean motel, with extremely comfortable beds. Everything about the place was great, including the lovely tidy gardens, the clean swimming pool - and the cleanliness of the rooms was superb. Even a box of chocolates left in each room.

Simon was really accommodating, our first Christmas holiday away from home and we were well looked after. The pool was close on Christmas Day but he made an effort to allow us some time to enjoy the facilities. Highly recommend. We will be visiting again.

The staff are very friendly and make sure that their clients are more than comfortable! Facilities were clean and up to date. We love this place and will for sure be returning.

If your room is near the road, you may get annoyed by traffic flow noises, but seeing that this is outside of the motel’s control - it shouldnt affect their clientele.

The room was super clean and the interior was nice and modern. Everything we needed plus daily servicing of the room. Loved the bodywash and shampoo dispenser in the shower. Made use of the heated pool and the hot tub. Simon was awesome and his parents were lovely. Very accomdatuing when we asked to use the pool and hot tub later than normal hours. Coffee machine was a nice extra and the hot chocolate was delish.

Location was convenient. Service and staff were very accommodating. Room was just right for us, shower had great pressure, the pool and hot tub were ON during this hot time of year.

Noise from the main road, was the only thing and being a busy time of year there were a few sirens going off on along the road. Everything else was excellent though!

Room was immaculate with tea/coffee & milk provided. Outside pool was small but lovely and warm with towels provided. Not too far in car from Mount Maunganui approx 15mins. Would not hesitate to stay here again if going to Mount Maunganui

Nothing to dislike

Clean, great layout, quality fixtures. Amazing shower and water pressure, instantly the right temperature when I turned it on, huge bathroom. Bonus courtyard. Very modern, decent sized living area and kitchen. Nice touches like bath salts, coffee maker, lemon tree, coasters and place mats all make it feel like home. TV’s and air con in the bedrooms was awesome too.

The master bed was firmer than I prefer but I still slept like a log.

Loved the swimming pool. Sold our room when we had to shorten visit due to a health issue so we didn't have to pay for the room
