Great to have rooms close together & near spa; love that face cloths still provided & robes were a treat; views, as always, gorgeous. Helpful when we discovered that there was no oven in room, as had been told, gave us access to unit with oven, close by, which was much appreciated.

Because we were by duck pond, grass & outside seating area covered in duck poo- had to request it be cleaned; suggest a notice asking guests to feed ducks by pond, so they stay away from rooms; confusion at reception about rooms & did not follow up on my phone request to remove roll-away bed; also was assured that each unit had a working oven, so we planned menus for an oven, but only hot plates; no BBQs allowed; also quite shocked at state of gardens & amount of rubbish in them.

We didn't know what to expect from this hotel and we were very pleasantly surprised at how good it is. The room was actually an apartment and it was very spacious. Very comfy bed. There was a combined washing machine/ dryer. We didn't use it, mainly because it looked super complicated and we were only there for one night and didn't want to risk not getting the dryer to work. It would have been helpful if there had some basic instructions available. There is a double hot plate and some pans etc so you can cook a meal if you wish. There is a nice restaurant and cafe. We had coffee by the lake at the outdoor patio when we arrived and it was lovely. Wanaka was beautiful. We loved it. It has much more "soul" than Queenstown and the walk by the lake is really picturesque. We had dinner at Spice Road in town - very, very good. Highly recommended. This is a very comfortable hotel, very tastefully furnished with friendly staff.

We only stayed one night so didn't have a lot of time to take advantage of all the facilities. Everything we used was very good. Nothing to report that was bad.

Superb room, great location. Beautiful grounds. We got a ground floor corner room we asked for.

No exhaust fan in the bathroom. We were in building 8 and the 4 steps from the parking area to the room are all different heights: that's a big safety no, no. Also the rear access area looks messy and unfinished (old concrete) where the wall meets the path. Could not lock the "front" sliding door from the outside, so could only exit out of the rear door. There's a coffee plunger but no coffee supplied for it. A place like this should have a coffee machine as standard facilities.

Resort feel to this one. Lobby was welcoming and staff friendly. Ample parking in front of rooms. Our room was well appointed, comfortable bed, ample room for two to live with seating and outdoor furniture on balcony. We travelled with another couple who were celebrating milestone birthdays and they were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment. Thank you Edgewater. We had a meal in the restaurant on site. Staff were super friendly and good sales people! We enjoyed every mouthful of dinner and they had plenty to choose from on both the food and drinks menu. Beautiful location on the lake with easy walking path on your doorstop. We didn’t use the tennis courts, spa or sauna but all looked to be in great condition, we just didn’t have the time.

No lift access to level 1 rooms so carry your own luggage up and down. I really dislike shower curtains (a scary movie watched as a kid and shower curtain in a rental property we lived in has scarred me for life)!

Very glad that we book the one-bed room apartment as we spent quite sometimes in the room due to a rainy day during our stay. Space as well as the cooking facilities was so good and make our stay so comfortable. The noise of renovation was a little bit of disturbing however overall considered acceptable. Believed we were quite lucky that 2 out of 3 nights were rather quiet as not much visitors at that time and we enjoy the quietness by ourselves by the lake.

The shower need some upgrades as quite rundown already. Hopefully to see newly upgraded shower next time when we visit Wanaka again.

Staff were friendly, helpful and professional from the very start. I had booked an upper floor room but for health reasons really needed to be on the ground floor and reception staff went to great effort to relocate me. And every interaction with staff thereafter was also great. Especially in the restaurant where they took my dietary restrictions as seriously as I do and need to do. The restaurant and menus are some of the best I have ever experienced in terms of catering for dietary restrictions while still providing exceptionally yummy food.

The room is so clean, staffs are friendly and helpful, location is great, beds are comfortable. Love the green grass at the backyard and view from the room is beautiful. So relaxing and peaceful, we enjoyed our stay!

We stayed for 6 night, on the last night, the room wasn't cleaned when we came back at 5pm, had to call the reception. We were told the cleaners were left already so we just got the rubbish removed and some fresh towels. Other than this incident, everything else was perfect.

The most stunning and insane views!! There's a massive outdoor park, and beach on the lake right outside your room - was incredible. Amazing location. You can walk to the famous "That Wanaka Tree" and to the main town. Great customer service.

While the room was very big and had full kitchen, living area, and separate bedroom, it could use some updates. It's a beautiful property but the room is not very "modern" the bathroom was very nice though

The hotel is right next to the lake so amazing views and access! Just a 5-10 min stroll to the famous Wanaka tree. Gorgeous property landscaping you could see the gardeners working hard all day long to maintain it. lovely and helpful staff very happy to help you arrange anything, activities or transport. Nice food for breakfast and dinner. the rooms are really lovely and comfortable. tons of towels so you don’t have to use the same one for ages. Great facilities. sadly didn’t get a chance to use the tennis court but they have that and a hot tub and sauna. only thing really missing is a pool? but the lake is so gorgeous you wont mind. they have a hotel cat called edge gorgeous little slinky black cutie who will come to your room and hang out, super friendly. as cat people she made our stay extra memorable! great for a family or couples.

Their is an active gang of geese on the property which are entertaining but they are a bit chaos causing. their ring leader will get a good run up and then sprint at your window and bash it to wake you up at 5am and honk at your patio door until you respond. they also make and leave quite a - how to politely say messy present?… alll over the patio so it’s pretty much unusable which is a shame with such great views. the internet as well could really do with an up grade.

The staff were fabulous in helping out with phone calls and advice for activities. George went above and beyond helping us with our Milford Sound plane excursion. Room was great although I could hear footsteps above us at times. Loved the kitchen and washer/dryer in the room. And, walking on the lake path was very nice - you can leave right from your room to see the Wanaka tree which is just a few minutes down the pathway.
