The direct neighborhood of this hotel, when looking out of the window, is not very attractive, yet, because there’s a lot of construction going on. This didn’t bother us though, the hotel itself was tidy and quiet, and it was wuite amusing being able to follow the progress of construction from the swimming pool. And the location was in the government district, close to many of the embassies, about in the middle of the Muscat agglomeration, 15 min from the airport, and 15 min to Mutrah harbour. Route 1 is nearby, there’s a pedestrian bridge to cross this road, on the other side a neighborhood with some restaurants, although for the best places you need a car. There is a good parking garage under the hotel. The hotel itself is really comfortable: good rooms, restaurant, lunch cafe, small shopping center with a small SPAR supermarket. And very friendly personel: thank you Noman and all your colleagues!

A big hotel like the Hyatt offers more dining opportunities, the sea at their doorstep, the availability of alcohol. But when price and all the possibilities of the Intercity Hotel are considered, it is a very good deal!

I had a great stay at this hotel. I initially booked for two nights, but the service was so good that I extended my stay twice, ending up staying for ten days. 😃 A special shoutout to Mr. Denmark. I forgot to add breakfast to my reservation, and when I showed up late, he humorously chased me down for the 8 rials for a nearly finished breakfast. 😄🍳 His dedication and persistence were memorable and made for a good laugh! Also, Mr. Shakir, who serves breakfast, was fantastic. He always made sure I had everything I needed, even bringing me coffee without asking and checking that everyone was happy. ☕👍 His attention to detail and friendly service were much appreciated. There’s limited space to mention everyone, but the staff here are truly excellent. Munther and Abdulrahim, Marwa the lovely Omani lady at the front desk, were all amazing. 👏🎉 Kudos to the HR team for their great choices! All in all, the great service and attentive staff made my stay really enjoyable. Highly recommend! 🌟 POP

I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. The towels were fresh, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the quality of the room amenities was excellent.

There was some noise coming through the walls from neighboring rooms. Not all room items were replenished daily, and I had to ask for them. The reception service was a bit slow when responding to requests, and the elevator card sometimes malfunctioned, which caused delays.

The staff at Intercity Muscat are always fantastic, they parked my rental car for me last time, but particularly Qais who helped me find my car in the basement the next day! he is very professional but also friendly, he remembered me which was a nice feeling and he checked me and my friends in to our rooms efficiently on this stay. I also like how the rooms are laid out and the bed is very comfortable after a long flight! There is also a coffee shop on-site which is great if you just fancy a coffee or miss the buffet.

I have stayed at this hotel several times this year and there is nothing I don’t like.

Nothing everything was perfect.

Everything about this place was just perfect. Starting from the reception and housekeeping staff who were very warm and accommodating. The breakfast was sumptuous with a lot of variety for all types of nationalities, especially Pakistanis and Indians. The rooms were kept extremely clean and hotel staff constantly checked in on us to provide a highly personalized experience. Will highly recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Muscat!

Nothing to dislike about this place - just the rooms could have been more spacious but was not an issue for us staying as a couple. Families might prefer to book one of their suites though.

Excellent Location (amidst Ministries and Emabassies) and very welcoming team doing their best to deliver an effectively efficient and professional services (Special mention and thanks to: Kanonai, Neipai and Joanne). On that note, I have had the pleasure of a 11-Year tour of duty (2009-2020) in the Sultanate of Oman, where, as the CEO of an Engineering Company, I have been activley involved in building infrasturcutre projects. I returned to UK a week before Covid-19 Lockdown and after an absence of 3.5 years have now returned and stayed in the InterCity Muscat hotel that did not exist when I left in 2020 and I very much look forward to my future visits.

Nothing in particular. I was scheduled to be there for two weeks which was subsequently extended to 5 weeks.

We mistakenly visited InterCity hotel Bawshar, and then forgot our passports at the reception. When we arrived at the Invercityhotel Muscat and were looking for passports for check-in, the friendly staffs came to us and informed that our passports are on the way to us (sending by their colleagues), and that they have received the copy of the passports and completed check-in. We then just received the room key. And the passports arrived at our room within 30 mins. Really appreciate the excellent service from the hotel (and the kind and helpful staffs).
