What can I say… if you want an unforgettable hostel experience then you should choose Outpost. I only stayed for 2 nights, but my stay was so lovely. Rooms are decent and spacious, beds are comfy, you got lockers and privacy curtains, a clean bathroom. The location is alright, you would have to take a tuktuk if you wanted to head to El Nido town, however the hostel is right at the beach, so no complaints there. The staff - you feel right at home because of all of the staff. It’s a pretty social hostel, with events like karaoke/bbqs/beerpong every night! The atmosphere feels really cosy, the staff will sit and chat with you about life and whatnot, making you feel welcome. They remember your name and always greet you with a big smile. Big recommend staying here!!!

Amazing location! Right on the beach so had beautiful sunsets and ocean view. The town isn’t super nice so it was good to stay about 5-10 mins out (tricycles are always outside and about 150 peso to get into town) so this was great. Lots of restaurants nearby to walk to and vanilla beach about 10 mins via trike. Was so glad to stay somewhere so beautiful. The staff were super friendly and made you feel so welcome. Also really helpful and able to book all excursions through them which was great to meet people. Common area is so nice, amazing food and drinks served all day so good to chill in then always something social going on in the eve which helped with meeting similar people. Rooms were good, we stayed in a 4 person dorm which had ample space, AC and comfy beds. Bathrooms were also always clean.

Quite a busy hostel with lots of coming and going but it meant we met lots of people.

This was by far our favorite hostel experience! The location right at the beach is great, although far from town. But this is the place to be, you don't need to go to town every night. Otherwise it's just a 10 minute ride. The staff is amazing, very open and pro-active with guests. Make sure to not miss out on their island tours with great guides and amazing people. While the hostel is very social and there's usually parties in the evening, it's quiet time at 11 and the rooms are well separated from the loud common area. The kitchen is good, especially the jalapeno smash burger is 10/10, we ordered it at least 5 times. They have a nice payment concept with their Outpost card, you can use it to buy drinks, food and tours and pay the bill at checkout.

The price. Quite expensive. But at least you know what you're paying for. The great stay was well worth it. A surcharge of 4% on paying the bill at checkout is applied if paying by card. The card terminal didn't even work and we had to go to an ATM to get cash. Make sure you're not in a rush. There is an ATM inside the hostel with bad conditions. This likely results also in a more-than-4% surcharge on your cash.

Island tour was great and crew was amazing! Staff at hostel are more than happy to help where they can. We stayed in four bed dorm and had enough space while respectful to others in room.

The hostel itself is down some steep stairs and along the beach front which we got a bit confused on how exactly to get there! So be aware if you have a suitcase. Also a bit far out of main city/crowds but easy enough to get a tuk tuk into central town (150 pesos). Bartenders/staff got drunk, got our drink orders wrong and were still expected to pay for it. Can be quite loud on karaoke nights as could hear a bit from the dorm rooms.

Great hostel! Right on the beach! The staff were lovely and very accommodating. There are events each night at the hostel which were so fun and a great way to meet people! The drink prices at the bar were very reasonable. We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom which was lovely and clean. The hostel is located in between el nido town and vanilla beach, both about a 10 minute taxi away, which was 100 pesos each way.

Very minor things but the double room lacked storage, there were two drawers under the bed for your stuff, however no desk or wardrobe. Also the hostel is located on the beach, so when you arrive/leave you have to go down/up some stairs and across the beach to access the hostel. The restaurant was quite expensive for a hostel, and had limited dishes available.

The staff were amazing and completely made our stay at Outpost. They were friendly from the moment we arrived, took the time to remember all of our names and made the trip personal & unforgettable! The tours A & C offered by Outpost were unbelievable, made more exceptional by the staff going above and beyond. All of the facilities were great - they were clean & comfortable. Rooms were spacious and well laid out. The communal bathrooms were very clean & water warm! Location was perfect for exploring El Nido by boat & watching sunsets! It was a close ride into town with transport just outside the hostel. I would recommend Outpost hostel to anyone visiting El Nido & will be returning anytime I’m back in the Philippines!

All the staff were incredible and so welcoming, thank you so much to Jules, Jasmine, Jay, Lance and all the rest of the team for making it such an amazing stay. Rooms are clean and tidy, facilities are good and air conditioned- only thing I’d note is that the stairs down to the beach to access the hostel isn’t very obvious from descriptions, it wasn’t an issue because the team were great and helped me get my suitcase up and down them, but keep that in mind when you’re packing!

A super positive and inclusive party hostel. The staff were all very welcoming and kind. I put only one night originally in my reservation in case I disliked the hostel, but within 5 minutes of arrival I realized how amazing it was and I booked a bunch more nights. There is a great atmosphere and even shy guests participated in games and such. They give lots of generous prizes and had good meals. The excursion I took to some islands was really fun too. I highly recommend this place, especially for solo travelers. It was so special meeting so many solo travelers and groups of foreigners. I met people from all walks of life and made good friends. Definitely take as many excursions as possible. One more thing, I got a bit sick one night and was unable to go on my excursion that morning. I asked the staff if I could switch my excursion reservation to the next day, and they not only allowed me to, but one of the receptionists even brought me hot tea to my room to be nice. Little things like that mean a lot to me when I'm traveling solo and completely on my own. Thank you so much to the staff!

The only negative I can think of is the pathway to the hostel from the road. You have to walk down some stairs from the street through a bunch of rubble and random debris, then walk along the beach a minute to get there. They could get a better entryway so that there's a more positive first impression upon arrival. Even then, however I loved the hostel and got used to it.

Well located, spacious rooms and bathroom with hot water and always clean. It's a party hostel, but every night they close at midnight. Beautiful view of sunrise and sunset.

We had problems with bedbugs, which were apparently the first time they had happened at the hostel, so we had a hard time dealing with them, but they did happen. However, the staff is young, so we had to be very proactive in dealing with them, because the person in charge at reception didn't seem to understand the seriousness of it all. We would still recommend staying here, knowing that it was an isolated incident and the place is clean.

When in El Nido, this hostel is a must-stay! The staffs are such legends who go above and beyond, making it one of the best hostels I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The food is exceptional , especially the burger that scored a solid 11/10. The tours and activities are expertly organised, creating a social and welcoming atmosphere. And lets not forget the breathtaking sunset views! While it’s a short 5- minute ride (100 pesos by tuktuk) from the centre, trust me, it’s well worth it.

Wifi only works better in the lounge area.
