True tropical paradise with amazing people around.

Only one thing. And thats more like a Feedback for personel. Clean the insects periodicaly in the cottages. We are not used to seeing cockroaches and spiders. It can really ruin our stay. And for travellers! Be careful of Nik Niks (sandflyes) at the beach! They can ruin your vacation. They cannot be seen, and then the damage is done.

We lived the wild beach. Quite place with great view. The owner was super nice and welcoming. Great food options and delicious. A must stay if you want to run away from the crowded El Nido.

All was fine and these points are just a heads up for future guests. Wifi speed is low (don’t forget it’s a secluded area and maybe it will get better in time) Take the longer road by setting tour destination as Bucana Hanging Bridge. Leave your bike there and then 6 min. walk across the bridge to Zhaya’s. Food was not the cheapest but definitely worth it :)

This place is so quiet and relaxing. Ms. Cha and her family is very kind and very accomodating. Excellent service indeed! They really take care of us and even Tatay Alfonso gave us a free tour going to Duli Beach (30mins walk from Zhaya). The food is great too! Buttered Shrimp & Sisig is a must try!

The place is far from center (45mins) which makes it more costly if you are on a budget tour. Thou it is worth it because it is near Duli Beach, Nacpan beach and Sundry Beach. There's also a lot of insects so I advise to put on or bring insect repellent.

Amazing little spot in a fishing town with an almost private beach experience. The huts had wonderful porches where your meals and drinks could be served right to you. If we wanted a better view of the beach there was a plethora of seating near the bar and on the beach as well. A mosquito net was provided but it was not necessary. All our tours and transportation was organised by the host which made everything very convenient and stress free. The local dogs were very friendly and we met a puppy we named Dobby who was always waiting to greet us in the mornings and after a long day of touring.

The water pressure was strong some days and weak on others. No issues otherwise.

Shirley was the most welcoming and friendly person to me when I arrived. The whole team were fantastic and really made my entire trip! As a solo traveller I felt safe and at home staying here. The location was perfect and I spent my days relaxing on the beach. I started my trip here to recover from jetlag and wanted some peace before heading into the craziness of town. It has been my favourite place of the trip so far. The team went above and beyond to provide a vegan breakfast for me. I had lots of lovely fresh juices and the sea was clear and clean to have a nice swim in!

Just bare in mind that this location is remote and you're back to basics. The bed was super comfortable! Decor and facilities were very basic and rustic but thats what to expect when being directly on the beach in a quiet part of the island. You get used to just a fan and no AC soon!

Its a lovely family business and very homely. The hosts are very accomadating and very helpful, the food was excellent, some of the best we've had!!! The rooms have all you need including a little covered varanda which is lovely to sit at and have your meals, breakfast was included and great. Its a location about 45 minutes outside the main El Nido town.

There was some litter further down the beach, Zhaya's Beach resort do clean their section and there are clean sections further around the bay, but sadly its quite common in the Philippines, so dont let this put you off.

This place is run by Cha and June. Their kind hospitality was outstanding. I recommend to experience the untouristic place Bucana and stay in Zhayas cottages for few nights. They offer good food as well.

It takes almost a hour to get to El Nido town by motorbike. The ride can be a bit muddy or bumpy, but it's part of the adventure exprience.

When you swim, it's like you own the beach to yourself! Only some locals and some tourists staying in nearby accommodations swim in the whole beach, so it's perfect if you wanna take a break from people haha. And the beach isn't rocky so you can swim and walk around barefoot. The rooms aren't too spacious, but enough to fit your luggages and is still comfortable. Bathroom is just fine as well. During our stay, the electricity went off for some time in the night, but they put a light in the dining area so it's not too dark. The room didn't have an AC, and even without a fan during the blackout, we were still able to sleep well because of the breeze from the sea, so we really liked that. And the food is just amazing. Being Filipinos, we love our rice and the garlic rice they serve here is really good, we're still drooling over it until now. We kept ordering from their menu because they make good quality meals. The family who owned the place were warm and very accommodating with us, they made our stay lovely and we're very thankful :)

There's mosquitoes at night when you have dinner at the dining area, but you can just buy some Off Lotion and you'll be just fine. Also there's the blackout which I mentioned below but I believe that doesn't happen too often. Both of these things are normal and not anyone's fault, so it's totally understandable. Just letting people know so they can prepare before their stay. The location is quite far from El Nido town/center, you would have to take a jeep/tricycle from there and travel for an hour, cross a hanging bridge (which is perfectly safe), then walk a bit going to the place itself. We had luggages and bags but we got help from our trike drivers, but if you only have backpacks, then it'll be much easier for you. All the effort's worth it when you arrive at their place!

We like eveything. The place, the beach...breakfast. there's only one suggestion I would like to make. It's really bare inside the hut, no place even a tiny table to put down your cell phone and medications at night before going to sleep. Maybe the owner can provide a little nite table That would be helpful. Everything else is fabulous starting from Alex who was always attentive on all our needs and request. Vicky, the lady owner is the sweetest. You can book everything with them including island hopping tour and even those side day trips are possible through Vicky's husband who will take you anywhere with his tricycle. For a fee of course. We recommend this place for those who loves quietness and close to the beach. We had the best 3 nights listening to the big waves. It was music to our ears. We had the best fondest memories which we treasure. Already talking about booking the place on our next visit to El Nido.

I think it's important to mention that there's a beautiful hanging bridge to get to Zhaya's. Honestly, I was horrified at first when we saw we need to cross it with our carry on luggages ( luckily we didnt bring the normal luggages). Luckily our driver helped us to carry them. But when we got to the place all my dissappointments vanished when I saw our bungalow. It's all worth it! I cant get over it. Simple, private and most of all.... steps from the beach Awesome. I'm glad I chose this place from among so many many accomodations I checked.

The Bucana beach is amazing. Five stars. It is wide, with fine sand, and the rippling waves come across the entire width of the bay. The accommodation is better than the usual bungalow quality in Philippines. Carefully designed, directly on the beach, in a palm forest. Clean. Attentive staff, good service, excellent food. Perfect wifi. Quiet, best place to relax.

You can put your luggage in the room only on the floor. It would be worth placing some hangers or shelves on the wall. The price is a little higher than other accommodations in the bay, but the quality is much better. I recommend choosing this.
