Super social hostel and friendly staff.

The rooms have to AC and the fans are quite loud.

It was super social and the beach is amazing!

It is very hot in the rooms even at night with the fans on (super Loud) so it is very hard to cool down and the bathrooms felt dirty.

My second Mad Monkey stay, and again I was impressed with how clean and tidy it was. The dorm beds are lengthways and have a curtain, light, plug and a fan. You are literally right on the most beautiful beach. The staff were super lovely, good wifi and the food in the bar has a good selection. I did the tour which was fun, and met lots of nice people. There are activities each night so you can meet people. I like that they take card payments.

The only thing was a bit difficult to get to - from El Nido you have to get a tricycle, and the walk along the beach. Just extra time and money to consider. This is a party hostel - music stops at midnight or later, and you will hear it in your room. That's what I wanted but it's good to consider. Sadly no AC, just fans in the dorms.

The best hostel experience we’ve ever had! you’d be silly not to book - The staff are impeccable, just so unbelievably attentive, could not have wished for a better team. Every single one of them have the kindest souls going above and beyond to make our trip so special and giving us the most pure Filipino experience. - The food is amazing all freshly cooked and super accommodating towards my gluten allergy (which is insanely rare around Asia) - Located on the most bliss beach front surrounded by a peaceful welcoming local village. - Activities on every single night so perfect for meeting people if travelling alone. - Mad monkey Nacpan go above and beyond for the local community helping raise funds to build schools & much more, we even had the most heart warming experience judging a talent show created by mad monkey for the local community to get involved. - Highly recommend the ultimate mad monkey island hopping tour, lovely private experience with other hostel guests (you will not get this type of intimate experience with other companies! - To top it all off we had the best massage on the beach front Overall just the perfect experience, absolutely made our Philippines trip and I couldn’t recommend enough!! Staff and manager Kurt were so sweet and caring. There were so many activities and fun games to choose from: karaoke, beer pong competition, volleyball tournament and other games which I missed because I was chatting myself away to so many cool people I met there! It’s not just visitors that come there, locals too as everyone enjoys the good atmosphere that was carefully crafted by the amazing staff. I will mention that this is a party hot-spot and people who may not know that may get surprised by how wild and funky this place gets! You would never tell that there was a party last night because of how clean and tidy everything looks the next morning. So if you’re missing a good party - Mad Monkey in Nacpan is the place to go to! And don’t worry, people who had very good time there will be the last ones to leave a review due to living a moment and enjoying their time there ✨

Some people who come there don’t necessarily know it’s a party hostel, so just keep that in mind when you’re reading the bad reviews as these will likely be the ones who wanted peace and quite but were presented with a wild party and lots of dancing

Amazing beach just in front of the hostel. Good music all day so do not expect quietness. The hostel has a nice bar restaurant with decent food and drinks, anything fancy but it’s okay. The toilets, room and bed were big and comfy, they have a good number of toilets so you don’t need to wait. You have a big locker in the room to lock your stuff. A great place to party and share with other travelers at the bar.

I really missed to have AC in the room as it is quite hot mostly during the day. You have a small, noisy fan above each bed but that is not enough during the day. Be aware that you need to walk about 10 minutes from the parking entrance to the hostel; that should be clarified in the description. It does not has to do with the hostel, but transport from and to El Nido town is limited unless you rent a bike. I booked 3 nights and end up going back to El Nido after second night. The place is nice but after two days you might get bored (if traveling solo).

If you know what to expect this place is amazing. It is on the most amazing beach with sun lounges and bean bags out the front a good restaurant and plenty happening. It’s not in el nido so we stayed a night in el nido and rented a bike to come up to nacpan for the night. About 40 mins away.

They have no rooms with aircon. We were aware of this when booking so only stayed one night but if they had rooms with aircon we possibly would have stayed longer as this place is incredible.

It's right on the beach! Location is simply spectacular. The staff is lovely! The Ultimate Island hopping is very worth booking. Places aren't overcrowded. Izzy was a wonderful tour guide! Food is very tasty Clean rooms, bathrooms and surrounding Evening entertainments are fun! Bar open until 2am

There is no a/c in any of the rooms only fans, it gets really stuffy There is no a/c nor fans in the bar area, also gets super hot In my opinion, too much techno music, some more variety would be nicer

the beach is absolutely stunning no matter the time of day. the staff was so welcoming and remembers everyone’s name Maria, MJ, and Bianca were the absolute best along with all the staff at mad monkey. I also felt like everything was constantly being cleaned which was nice!

the wifi is pretty in and out but it was good to disconnect for a few days. I could scroll insta and FaceTime people sometimes, but would not plan to do any remote work while there. The bunk bed rooms can get pretty hot but they have fans and mosquito nets which were helpful.

The hostel was quite clean, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The most important part is that, even though it's a hostel, you still have the option to book a private double room, which was the best part for me.

The only downside was that there was no hot water, and the weather wasn't warm enough to compensate. Additionally, they should include a hot drink with breakfast! :)
