Firstly BOOK BOOK BOOK. This place has it all. We stayed at the blue orchid for 8 days as a final finish to a month of travelling the philippines. Upon arrival we were welcomed by night staff John who was awsome and shown us to our room. The following morning, the front of house staff introduced themselves and explained all the excellent things to do including snorkling which is attached to the resort. The snorkling is unreal, the coral and marine life you can see along with the dive/snorkling equipment the resort provide! The rooms are well equipped with lovely balconys and air con! This is a dive resort and not a boutique hotel although it had elements of both, but as for the area and moalbol itself this is as good as you will find and it is always worth checking direct with the resort about availablity and what rooms are available for something special or to organise trips. The food alone its well priced and tasty and above all things hygenic, freshly made to order and good variety! The staff all round are lovely, and cannot do enough to make sure you are catered for and will actively go out of their way to ensure you have the best stay. Now onto the owners what can i say, micheal and naresa both engage and are always around ready to assist in anyway, micheal was great to have a chat with, great knowledge and such a nice fella you feel at ease with any issues/enquiries you may have and full of stories that you can spend hours listening too. Finally, id say overall the best place we stayed in the philippines and great quality for the money and finally a mention for the star-link wifi (which micheal loves) it is great to get signal considering it’s the Philippines. Too difficult to get to. Tour packages from this resort is very expensive. Food is also quite expensive. No entertainment - no tv no play room. Books were old. Games were ancient and spider web covered. Absolutely nothing to do after sunset. Bad internet. Otherwise, relatively friendly staff and fellow stayers.

The staff are 100% the best thing about this property. It is a family run resort, and it certainly has that feeling. They make you feel like you’re at home (even if it is only a short stay). The location is a little bit further away from town, but it makes it a perfect, little quiet oasis. The rooms are big and have the essentials. The beds are still quite firm (normal for most of Asia), but on the more comfortable side compared to some other resorts that we have stayed in in the Philippines. The organised day trips are definitely worth it! The staff arrange everything for you: from pick up and drop off to the resort, to all the necessary equipment. We did two dives (one at the Sardine Run dive site and one at the Aeroplane Wreck dive site) and they were both great! We also did the Canyoneering day trip which was so smooth for start to finish! They arranged pick up from the resort (an early one to beat all the crowds), a stop to get all the gear (including helmets, life vests and water shoes), the motorbike up to the top of the site, a guide to lead up through the falls, and the return trip as well! All for a great price, and we had such a great time!

The food at the property wasn’t the best we’ve had in the Philippines but the staff recommended so many other amazing places to try in town that we ran out of time to try them all! We were also able to hire a motorbike for a very reasonable price so it made travelling to and from town very easy!

the staff are certainly the highlight here. including the diving instructors. the super deep swimming pool is amazing. location is pretty good. the organised tours (canyon, diving and whale sharks) were incredible

the beach access is disappointing. the nearest decent beach is 500metres but only accessible at low tide. you can snorkel though from right down out the front. and you can snorkel right to the nice white sand beach the cooking is only so-so (inconsistent). their Filipino dishes are way better than the over-fried western dishes. but the quality of the same dish did vary day to day. anyway there are two other resorts within 100 metres if you want to vary it up.

+ the best get away to have a break - really over over our expectation on the quality time we had + can just jump in the water and a beautiful snorkelling on the best corals + really friendly staffs and good restaurant homecooked style + available activities were all so great and the kids loved it + room was clean and good air conditioned + massage available at very affordable price anytime with the breeze of the sea wind + can visit the restaurant right next door resort (halle manna) if you want a change on the menu

- wifi was not so good- but ok to be really disconnected - swimming pool was ok but the water is not the cleanist😅

Starting our holiday in the Philippines at the Blue Orchid felt like stepping into a dream, arriving during one of the spectacular sunsets. Other than the beautiful setting, what we appreciated most about the Blue Orchid was Narissa and her team who arranged all of our activities (whale sharks, canyoneering, scuba diving, etc) with ease and made the experience simple and seamless. We loved how casual and friendly this resort feels, and while it’s a short tricycle ride from town, it feels totally isolated and serene. One of the highlights of our whole trip was simply stepping into the water from the bite and snorkeling down the coast to white beach - we saw gorgeous tropical fish and corals and a massive sea turtle :) I’d send anyone here for a stay in Moalboal.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Blue Orchid. It’s a bit off the beaten track and quiet, which I love, but still only a few minutes away by tricycle from Panagsama, where you have a choice of restaurants and bars. I loved the food at the resort though. Everything is made with fresh ingredients and their fruit shakes are fabulous! The room was HUGE, meticulously clean, the bed absolutely comfy and all of them have seaview. The sunset from my porch was nothing but spectacular! The owner and staff are so friendly, it almost felt like I was beloved family and not a foreign guest. Also great internet connection! Diving was brilliant too, huge swarms of sardines and a very nice reef wall only a few minutes away by boat. They also have a brand new sister resort, the Wild Orchid, only ten minutes away, which I will try out in a few days! 100% recommendation

We had an amazing stay! We absolutely loved the staff and owners. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed walking around the property talking with other guests and staff. They really make you feel like family there. The food they cook is excellent and the drinks were delicious. They made booking other things to do like excursions or renting motorbikes to drive around super simple. They arranged our cars for pick up and drop off at the airport and it was very comfortable and simple. I highly highly recommend. We had an amazing time and ended up extending our stay there. Thank you so much for making us have such an enjoyable experience. We will be coming back!!

Can't think of a thing that we didn't like! They really went out of their way to make us have a great trip. If there was something we were interested in eating they would help us find it or get it for us.

Absolutely everything! Owners & our hosts Michael & his lovely wife are amazing..warm & welcoming, helpful with every need! Breakfast was great & reasonably priced with really delish fruit plates and mango & banana shakes. We got the seafront room that we requested & loved it. It was spotlessly clean, nice linens and lots of room with a nice outdoor seating area. Pool was great & although there is no beach, just the sound of the waves and steps entering a he sea were perfect! Diving & scuba assistance was good too. Cozy, small & just what we wanted! Thank you for a wonderful stay & experience!🙏🥰

There was lots to love! Great views from the property, quiet but near enough that you could hop on a scooter or tricycle to the tourist end of town in 15 minutes. Anything we asked for, Michael and Narisa provided; bike rental straight from the property for several days, scuba diving, tasty breakfast, good company. They also arranged transport to and from the resort in a taxi and were quick to reply to queries. Prices were fair and similar to rates in the town. We had a great time and 5 nights flew by.

If you don't want to be out of the town there are closer places to stay, but we enjoyed the bike ride and it is clearly advertised that they are out of town.
