We travel a lot and are used to the fact that receptionists in hotels are always smiling, friendly and kind. At the Polonia hotel, looking at the receptionists, you might think that their very beloved dog died yesterday. And we, the guests of the hotel, are the main suspects in the poisoning of the dog. There were no smiles, no friendliness. Although the receptionists performed their duties well.

The breakfast was very rich and varied, we ate it twice during the trip and it still tasted excellent the second morning. The staff was helpful and friendly and managed to smile despite the busy schedule ;) The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, close to the train station and the old town, right in the heart of the city. Tram stops in several directions are located right in front of the hotel.

The room on the first night was too noisy most of the night because it was on the first floor facing a busy street. But with the friendly and unyielding assistance of the staff, the second night's room made up for it all.

The breakfast at Hotel Polonia was fantastic. The location was great, very close to the main station and the old town. It was also close to a number of tram stops to travel around the city. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly, coping well with our limited polish. They also kindly made us a packed breakfast for one of the days we were on a long tour that left before breakfast started. They also let us check in early and were able to give us a room looking over the courtyard.

Nothing for us - the hotel was great. We were lucky and had a room facing the courtyard, the other side faced the road which may have been a little noisy.

Excellent accommodation for transit travelers: just a step away from the main train and bus stations. Spacious rooms with lovely vintage furniture. The whole building has a historic vibe. All modern amenities are available: AC, walk-in shower, hair drier. It is like staying in a historic B&B back in the US for a fraction of the price. The minus is that the building does not have an elevator, so it is more for those who travel light. If you have a lot of luggage, I recommend booking next door at Polonia Hotel. Same style but with an elevator, I guess that is why it was promoted to a "hotel". This is not my first stay in these two or the first time in Krakow so I can compare it with other hotels. It is not expensive, clean, and very atmospheric. Love it. The staff at the desk always looks a bit sad but it is not Intercontinental, where they are so sweet it'll make your teeth hurt...lol...

Very affordable accommodation just a few minutes walk from the historical city center of Krakow. The staff were lovely, and they have a 24-hour reception in case you need to check-out in the early hours of the morning to get a flight, which was our case. The room was simple but clean, with a lovely view out to a park.

The street our room overlooked was quite busy, so it was a bit noisy in the early hours of the night. However, the noise died down as the night progressed. They also say on the room description that the room we booked has a bathtub or shower, but when I requested a bathtub I was told that this room type only has showers. This wasn't a big problem for me, but it might be a disappointment for some.

Perfect location just next to the bus and railway stations and at the same time in few minutes walk to the Old Town. Clean rooms equipped with furniture looking like antique and all the hotel has such very specific vintage style that you can imagine youself to be a Polish aristocrate while staying there :) Very freandly and helpful English speaking staff.

If your windows look at the street and are open then be ready for the loud noises. The street is quite busy and there is also located the hub of Krakow night buses passing there all night long. So better to have the room with the windows looking to the yard. Plus there was no air conditioner and in summer it is strongly appreciated. Finally, there is no reception so you need to go first to Hotel Polonia (it is just next to Aparthotel Basztowa) and get the key there. BUT you receive only one key which opens ALL THE DOORS in the hotel. Looks a bit strange so please use the safe to keep your valuables!

As was mentioned before my reservation - breakfast is really superb. Easy check-in/out. Despite the building is really old the room was clean with dry air without bed smell.

Mess with reception location. It was in the building nearby. But I solved it when saw small notice with arrow and text. Main disappointment is high price. It's definitely not mathch to the level of this hotel. It should be 20-30% less.

All is clean and comfortable. Looks very authentic. Very pleasant atmosphere. Good view. Good breakfast.

There are several floors - no lift and without a receptionist at the hotel you need to go to the next hotel right after this and ask for the keys. There were no help to take a heavy luggage 3 floors up - very difficult to do for a woman with the child..such an unexpected thing.

Perfect location: very close to the train station and public transport stops, but in the same time a nice area, there's a park in front of the building. Great service: quick check-in and check-out. Comfortable and clean room, with a nice view from the window to the inner garden. Fully recommend this hotel!

Watch-out if you have a lot of luggage: there's no elevator, only stairs to the room.

Convenient location near old town area and main train station. Completely quiet in the rooms where windows facing internal yard. Clean inside the rooms.

Birds nest directly above the entrance in internal yard - the path is fouled and there is a risk of getting your clothes spoiled. Interior is oldish and not attractive, wardrobe doors apparently skewed. It was spring and +20C outdoor however in the afternoon the room was quite cold and heating was not turning on (though didn't notice any discomfort during the night).
