Location 2 mins from the square. Mini market opposite and cafe and food places on same street including subway, McDonald's and burger king. Also a fab pierogi place a few doors up. The hotel has character and Konrad and the staff are very tentative and having use of the kitchen and free drinks was helpful. As a solo traveller it is a great place to go. Planning on returning next year.

It is a little dated, but it's an excellent price if you want to be in the action. I could hear a DJ in one of the garden/underground bars at night, you dont get to be in the action and it be totally quiet. Some things in the bathroom have broken over the years but I imagine can't be replaced and a refurb would push up the price so all in all....you get what you pay for. Konrad and the team make up for those things lacking with the cleanliness and helpful nature with tips of the local area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Golden Lion Guest Rooms Szewska 19. The host was exceptionally kind, providing me with all the necessary information during check-in. The room itself was perfect for a solo traveler - clean, well-sized, and reasonably priced. One of the highlights of the facility is its two kitchens, allowing guests to prepare their meals as they please. While having more cutlery would be a welcome addition, what was provided was sufficient for my needs. The location couldn't have been better; just a few steps from the main square. However, it's worth noting that the area can get quite noisy at night, typical of the vibrant Krakow city center. Nonetheless, this is beyond the control of the host, and I came prepared with earplugs. In conclusion, my stay offered excellent value for money, and despite the minor inconvenience of noise, I would highly recommend Golden Lion Guest Rooms Szewska 19 to fellow travelers.

The WiFi frequently had poor connectivity. I attempted to improve the signal by walking around the room and my floor with my phone or laptop, but to no avail. Perhaps the connection was better on the first floor. However, I managed to find a café near the main square, Green Caffe Nero, which offered excellent internet and served good coffee. It's a great alternative for anyone needing a reliable workspace.

The guest house has all you need, towels, hair dryer and has a kitchen where you can use the stuff and provide different types of coffee which was nice. The staff are very friendly and this nice man called Conrad has a lot of information about Cracow which supported us in planning for things to do.

The only thing I did not like was there seems to be no sound proofing. The hotel is sat in a popular street in the old town which is fabulous. However this means that it is busy all hours of the night (at least it seems on Friday- Sunday when we visited). So the street were noisy and you could hear other residents loudly. One person in our block put opera on loudly but I couldn’t quite tell if it was outside or inside because depending where you were in the room, you could hear noises from all directions. I did manage to sleep though and occasionally woken up, but if your a light sleeper/ have trouble sleeping in general you might want to pick a quieter spot.

The administrator was wonderful, very friendly and helpful! Everything was clean and nice. The place is really close to the centre. Enjoyed the stay there a lot!

Well, it's completely my personal thing, but it was really noisy outside till late at night and starting early in the morning the trash trucks were already there making lots of noise. The other thing is that I didn't see any breakfast (though the place claims itself "bed and breakfast"). Well, maybe it was somewhere, but I didn't see. 😆

This place is very centrally located in the old town. It's absolutely perfect if you only have a few days to explore Krakow. It's great that there is a kitchen you can use. The host is also exceptionally friendly, and the information provided in advance and during the stay is very good! For those of us who like to bring our dogs along, it's also a big plus that the place is pet-friendly. You have to walk a bit to properly walk the dogs, but it's perfectly fine.

If there's anything we could have wished for, it would be air conditioning in the rooms.

the location right at the town centre.

it's not B&B, despite what it is called. the kitchen didn't even have milk to make coffee. the curtain was very thin and narrow, I suggest investing in some blackout curtains for the rooms. the window faces the street so it's very loud at night with all the punters drink on the streets. There was no toiletry other than soap inside the ensuite. should have at least shower gel and a shampoo. there is no 24h reception and you have to check out after 10am, I had to wait before I could leave, not good if you have early plans.

Staff were really friendly, great communication from start to finish, even messaging within 5 minutes of checking out to say we left something behind. Great location, just what you need for somewhere cheap to stay right in the centre.

I can't really fault the place for the price you pay, dont expect luxury, and everything will be ok, the only improvement for me is a couple more plug sockets.

Clean, cosy room. Common kitchen (one per floor) also clean and comfortable, with coffee maker and free coffee, nice to make a quick breakfast or take a snack. Location is ideal both for tourism and for public transportation access. Plenty of facilities around (bars, restaurants, shops etc). The staff is exceptionally helping and friendly. Pricing is more than reasonable.

The street is full of night life, bars and clubs are working all night so be ready for some shouting and noise when you intend to sleep :)

This place is right in Old Town and is easy to get to from the station. It's exceptionally clean and well laid out. If you get one of the rooms off the main street it would be excellent.

What's the chance that all the drunken tourists would have shouting and singing matches under my window each night? Must have won the lottery. Sophies choice whether to suffocate in the hot room or open the window and amplify the noise. Needs aircon.

Excellent location, very close to the Old Town with plenty of facilities and attractions around. The atmosphere in the accommodation was great, the room with private bathroom was spacious, clean and cosy, and the shared kitchen was also very nice and equipped with everything necessary. The owner is extremely kind, helpful and friendly. He sent me in advance very clear instructions on how to enter the facility and the room in case of late arrival.
