Excellent location. Knowledgeable staff. Great rooftop bar and restaurant. A memorable city to visit.

We chose Kossak mainly becaus of its excellent position to walk to the city centre (which is only a 5 minute walk away). At the check in, we were told that the hotel will be undergoing a major renewal and that we would be the firsts to experience the new room's layout. The accomodation was excellent, cozy, super clean, with all the possibile commodities and showing a fantastic design. Bathroom and shower were big and super comfortable. Breakfast was among the best we've tried all over Europe and the breakfast room is top-notch! The staff is super discrete, helpful, responsive, competent and always smiling. Bravi!

Excellent hotel with super friendly staff who did everything they could to make our stay perfect! Breakfast was superb, beds very very comfortable, showers and free sauna very good, towels and bathrobe supersoft, very clean everywhere, and the balcony had an amazing view on the castle and the river was just soooo nice!

Food at breakfast was outstanding, best hash browns I've ever had and good selection of meats (hot and cold) pastries and breads. Something for everyone. Staff were very helpful, it was my partners birthday and I asked if they could put a cake in the room for our arrival, they did with no extra cost. We had to leave before breakfast on our last day so they made us a breakfast box to take to the airport. Had an incident where, after booking, we found out we were arriving a day early due to the airline moving our flights and they happily amended the booking at the same price per night as agreed on booking.com The bed was huge, our view was really good (5th floor, castle view) and it was reasonably priced. The bathroom was really good and the room seemed to have little extras that we needed, boot cleaning kit, sewing kit (partner ripped a hole in her coat pocket). Would 100% book here again if I returned to the city.

Only minor downsides, felt like a slightly longer walk to the market square than anticipated and limited TV facilities which is fair enough, as you don't go away to watch tv but during those "rest hours" in the afternoon, it might have been nice to have something familiar on in the background.

My son's wedding reception was hosted at the hotel. The food was beautifully presented. Members of staff were extremely helpful. The venue, (the restaurant on the 7th floor), was a great location for the occasion, affording fantastic views over the river and out towards the castle. There was a really good choice of food for breakfast. The hotel is within an easy walk to the main square, where a huge number of bars and restaurants can be found.

The trams were frequent and noisy when the window was open. We needed the window open as we couldn't seem turn the temperature down in the room using the thermostat.

The Hotel is located close to the river and the Wawel castle. It is on the edge of the city center and all things tourists typically want to visit can be easily reached by foot. A parking garage is nearby, but the public parking space in front of the hotel can be used (to be paid hourly, but possible to book for about 60 PLN for the whole day!). Our room was very clean, the breakfast was fantastic, the sauna is small but absolutely sufficient and the roof top restaurant / bar has a really great view on the city (river, castle, etc.). The staff was generally friendly (restaurant, cleaning staff), the people on the reception desk were overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. We were three people (parents and 17 year old daughter) and Hotel Kossak managed to offer all items for 3 people (bathrobes, slippers, etc.) - many hotels fail here. Very close to the hotel are several supermarkets and restaurants and a streetfood stand. In the same block there is a department store with a big supermarket. This department store is a must-see for people who want to visit a department store with the charm of the 1970ies (strange, because this wonderful old city gives a very “young” impression). Our stay in Hotel Kossak from check-in to check-out was a great experience. Thanks – I really recommend this hotel.

At the moment there is a building site in front of the hotel, what is of course not the fault of the hotel. In our room there was some noise, but really low (and the Hotel provided earplugs if needed). Once ready, the street and the square in front of the hotel will be very nice, I guess.

Amazing place to stay located on beautiful Vistula River bank just a few steps from Wawel Castle. Just 15 mins walk from Main Market Square. Nice, clean rooms with comfortable beds and all facilities incl little fridge. Speedy WIFI internet connection and strong 4G/5G signal. Little gym, sauna and bikes available for guests free of charge. Tasty continental breakfast if you opt-in for it. Great staff always ready to help if needed. 10 out of 10. Definately 4 stars hotel with unique atmosphere. Highly recommended

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great and suited vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters (we are vegetarian). Our room looked towards the castle and over the river, fantastic view! We welcomed the green initiatives. Drinks, dinner and views on/from the Terrace were just perfect.

A greater variety of vegetarian choices at the restaurant for lunch/dinner would be welcome.

Good location just 10 minutes walk to the main Old Town Square for Xmas Market and restaurants. The bed was really comfortable, the room was also very clean and good sized. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, couldn't do enough for you. Good breakfast selection I would definitely stay there again.

The breakfast seating area seems small for the size of the hotel.so had to wait for a table to become free, but we didn't have to wait long and we were invited to wait in the reception with seating and we were called through quite quickly after. So not a big dislike because it was managed really well.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. Rooms were spotless and had everything you needed. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with a great range of food which was fresh and delicious. We were provided with a large breakfast on our departure at 4am to the airport. Staff were so friendly and helpful especially when booking tours. Location is great with a 7-8 walk to the Market Square and right next to the Castle. Would highly recommend and would 100% return.

Everything was amazing. Restaurant needed to be booked in advance but this wasn't an issue.
