The staff (front desk & bar/restaurant) were exceptional. They answered questions and explained how the parking worked and we were able to park right across the street, which was free due to the weekend, so we didn't need their parking garage. The evening in the bar/restaurant area was very nice as the bartender was exceptional and caring for the bar and bar food service guests. Kudos to him! Our room was nice with a very nice bathroom (shower/tub combo) and with a small but very comfortable balcony was a nice plus for the evening! As we had an early flight, the staff informed us that we could visit the breakfast area a little early and we were able to have coffee and several items that were ready. Thank you!

The pool and hot tub facilities were clean and well presented; however, the hot tub was only slightly heated above the pool temperature.

Hotel Ponta Delgada offers comfortable rooms with balcony and views of the water. The staff is very friendly and helpful. AC worked great, the bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. Hair Dryer was not attached to the wall so I could take it out to the bedroom to plug it and free up the bathroom for my spouse to get ready. You can park in the garage for 10€/day. Bar has light menu options and there is a restaurant next door.

No tourist information or even a map available from front desk. No bottled water for sale or otherwise in the room. Later, I saw people buy liters from the bar.

Room and bathroom size were great, absolutely huge bed, location, exceptional friendliness of staff, cleanliness, balcony, quiet AC that worked very well. There were many things we didn't use, though, that no other places we have stayed in Portugal had, so that's great if you are looking for them so we can't include in our review (pool, sauna, bar, etc.).

Breakfast. They covered all the bases and possibly it's because it was our first introduction to Azorean food but it just didn't have the options we'd had in Lisbon. Really missed having a variety of fresh fruit including pineapple, berries, melon, or bananas. Parking costing more money than was indicated on the services description in room and having to pay for parking at all. Having to pay extra charge if you wanted to use in-room safe.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean and beautifully decorated room with balcony - with kettle and coffee/tea available. Charging outlets next to each side of bed and good lighting. The bathroom was clean and had basic toiletries on request at reception. Continental breakfast with variety of bread, ham, cheese, and hot scrambled eggs and bacon, yogurt, and fruits. Pool and jacuzzi were great, open from 9a-9pm (wanted to use the sauna, but remained close and had no instructions) One of the nights, I ordered room service (additional €5) for dinner from their restaurant, O Baco, and it was great! Location:10 mins from airport, paid €10 (with luggage) by taxi. It's about 10mins walk to the city gates, and 5 mins to Forte São a Brás along the water.

The hotel is 10 mins away from the airport, and my room/balcony faces it so you can see and hear the planes take off and land around 6-7am and before midnight (10-11pm ish). The noise didn't bother me as it was interesting to see, but others might, so requesting a room on the other side of the hotel might be better.

Great location. Good sized rooms. The swimming pool and hot tub are a pleasant surprise, they were usually empty when I used it but they’re clean and provide some r&r after a day of exploring. Staff were polite.

The breakfast was mediocre; it did the job but was very basic. The beds are extremely firm and the pillows provide no neck support - but I did request a different pillow which house keeping staff did manage to source and it was a little better.

The breakfast was delicious, the staff was friendly, the room was clean and as shown in the photos. There is an indoor pool but we did not use it. There were tea making utensils in the room. The hotel is a few minutes drive from the airport. You can also easily walk into the city in a few minutes. Our room on the sixth floor even had a sea view.

Due to the proximity to the airport, you can of course hear the planes taking off and landing - but that didn't bother us.

Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel was clean and it's a central location. I liked the little balcony that the room provided, and the hotel was quiet overall (note: the entire city is under a flight path so you will occasionally hear airplanes taking off or landing, but you will hear that throughout the whole city, not just at this hotel). The staff were also helpful when we were asking about tips in terms of things to do in the city.

When we dropped off our bags before check-in, I didn't love how we how to drop them in a room that didn't feel very secure. When we went to pick them up, they had actually told us the door was unlocked and we could go in there to pick out our bags (the room isn't behind the front desk). Also, when we asked if by chance our room was ready, we were told that if it was, we would have to pay an extra seven euros per hour for accessing the room early (which I had never heard of before).

Way beyond expectations! This hotel deserves to be at least 4 star, if not 5. An amazing room, wonderful breakfast and perfect location just 5 minutes walking from the centre. The O Baco restaurant is also outstanding, all the dishes I tried were excellent, and the tiramisu was the best I've tasted outside Italy. Thank you for a great stay on a beautiful island

Water pressure was sometimes low, so the shower wasn't perfect

Location is convenient: 10-15min walk from the city center. Very good breakfast: bacon and eggs, good variety of cakes, fruit, jogurt etc. Very good local food in the hotel restaurant O Baco. Nice little indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. The room was spacious and had excellent sleeping quality, mattress, pillows. Safe, big mirror, air-con, kettle with tea and coffee. Balcony with partial sea view. Good cleaning. Nice staff.

There was no fridge in the room. :( I could even pay little extra to have one for longer stays. Sauna and showers were closed the whole 2 weeks I stayed at the hotel. Air-con temp of the room was not adjustable: I could only turn air-con on or off. When it was on it was auto-set to 16C which is way to cold for me unless Im sleeping with a thick blanket! Bathroom floor gets very wet easily and there could be an extra towel to wipe it dry as the towels are quite small. However, despite some negative things I really liked the hotel, enjoyed my stay, could return and would recommend this hotel to others too.

A good hotel in general with just a few short comings however Good wifi, clean room, pleasant bar with friendly staff a very nice pool made it an enjoyable stay overall.

No fridge, no milk, limited tea and coffee. could not book restaurant on 3 out of 6 evenings. Mon restaurant was closed! Bar restaurant seemed to always be booked up. Location overlooked streets but convenient to some very good eating within 10 minutes walk.
