Extremely friendly staff, very helpful, who helped us both to park the car in the underground garage and to buy tickets for the tourist tours, Fantastic view from the rooftop restaurant, great view of the city and from the room. Very good location.

I was surprised to learn that the pool and spa only work until 5.30pm. In fact, tourists during the day are sightseeing in Porto and do not have the opportunity to use the pool and spa. They should extend the opening hours to at least 8pm.

The room and hotel were very clean, and the staff was helpful. There was a great breakfast, a very good restaurant, and wonderful waiting service. The view from the upper floors is superb, and overall, the hotel is fantastic.

1- The swimming pool. I think for a 5-star hotel a bigger swimming pool with more facilities should be provided. I was not sure if the entry to the gym is also included, but after checking the GYM, I also did not like the facilities there. 2- Room service is too expensive. I was charged 12 euros for a coffee. There was a charge of 7 euros for any inquiry to room service. Ordering a coffee outside the hotel and bringing it to the room costs less than 12 euros. 3- The location was very good, but far from the city center and far from the beaches. The closest metro station is 10 minutes away by walking, but the UBER service in Porto is cheap and easy, so not a big deal.

The daily breakfast was excellent. On our last night we were given a packed breakfast at 6.0am to support our very early departure to the airport. Very thoughtful of the hotel.

Closure of the swimming pool at 7pm

We stayed in one of the suites for our family of 4 - nice spacious room with two large full bathrooms. The rooms were clean and great for our stay. We enjoyed breakfast every morning - plentiful spread with a good variety of warm and cold foods. We enjoyed using the pool facilities. The staff was very professional and friendly. My friend left his mobile phone in the Uber and the genuine concern that the staff had in their attempts to help facilitate the return of the phone was fantastic. Anytime we had a question or left and returned the hotel, the staff were always there to greet us with a warm smile.

The pool/gym/spa facilities are not the hotel's own establishments. As such, the children's pool area (which looked great for our young children) were not availble to use as there were children's swim classes during our pool time.

Breakfast was great as was the breakfast staff. Variety of hot and cold food all of which was carefully prepared and presented. Rooms refreshed over 7 days on a daily basis.

Hotel some distance fro Porto centre requiring bus or taxis. Felt pressured to purchase red bus pass on arrival by reception staff at nearly double the cost to buying it directly from the bus company. Didn’t like the idea of paying 20 Euro daily for parking which deterred me from hiring a car.

Indoor high level bar for views, small outdoor area but only open from 12. Taxis available or Metro/ Bus service good into 'down town', harbours Small supermarket close by for essential items

Toilet roll holder fell off the wall twice

The selection of food at breakfast was great and we were impressed with the quality of the food. Most of the staff at reception were extremely polite and helpful.The person that checked us in was a gentleman. The lady that gave us advice regarding tour bookings was very helpful. The lady that manages the rooftop bar was professional and mannerly.

The Chef at the rooftop restaurant had the worst attitude that I have ever encountered in the hotel and catering industry - ruined our evening, especially as it was a much anticipated experience. It was also meant to have marked a milestone birthday. We had to leave and go into town. Unfortunately, the staff at the spa were unhelpful and impolite.

We recently stayed at Porto Palacio and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is located in a prime area, making it easy to explore the city. The room was spacious, clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, I highly recommend Porto Palacio to anyone visiting Porto. It offers excellent value for money and a memorable stay.

The palacio hotel is not far from the big square with the big statue of a Lion pressing an Eagle against the ground and Casa de Musica. Personel is looking quite formal, but are really helpfull and friendly. Breakfast is well done and rooms are spacious. If you dont mind walking and visiting the beach, this is the ideal spot. Just follow the Rue de Boavista towards the beach and you ll be amazed. If you decide to walk down this road I recommend walking through the city park, it is amazing. And if you really like the best part of the beach, go up norh a bit which will take 45 min extra (you can also take a bus). Once you are back from the beach you can go to the topfloor and look over the Rua de Boavista. A long straight line towards the beach as the sun sets, or relaxing after dark when the lights pop on and traffic is moving around.

Once you want to focus on the city centre with the beautifull bridge that lead to alle the Port wine cellars, you might find the location less ideal (but still more than okay). For me, allready knowing this part of the city is was not an issue!

Room was large, clean and had a great view of the city so I was happy I paid extra for it. The staff was welcoming and pleasant and professional. Shower was hot and had good pressure. Loved that the towel heater worked! Good bus and metro connections. Upon arrival the friendly and gracious bellman pointed out the amenities of the hotel including the rooftop bar and recommended I use my free welcome drink card to watch the sun go down from there. Good breakfast selections.

Ate dinner at the bar (I was only person there). After meal was served, the server disappeared to the back room and conversed with the other person who was working the bar (I could hear them talking from my table). There was no one I could ask for more water ... or get any assistance for that matter. I sat for a while waiting to pay and when she reappeared she asked "Finished? Dessert?" Disappointing, though food was good. While the two of them were in the back a couple came into the bar and finding no one there to help them, they left. I went to the rooftop bar to see the sunset and after my first drink, the wait staff attended to several large groups who were there and never asked me if I wanted anything else so I left.
