Villa Herencia boasts a perfect location, nestled in the heart of San Juan yet tucked away in a serene spot. The hotel's service and charm were truly exceptional, immersing us in the authentic essence of Puerto Rico as we felt like we were staying in a typical, historic villa right in San Juan. It was an unforgettable experience!

While Villa Herencia offered a wonderful experience overall, there were a couple of aspects we didn't like as much. The absence of breakfast was a minor inconvenience, but not a major concern since there were plenty of dining options nearby. Additionally, the rooms were on the smaller side, and the climate control system had some issues, but it didn't significantly impact our overall enjoyment of the stay.

property was beautiful, unique and in a great location. Bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water for showers. I would have rated a 10, but for the minor irritations listed below.

no all day reception presence. there was no soap in our room. I called the sister hotel, but no one answered. Also, use of hot-tub confusing. Quiet time on rooftop started at 7:00- did that mean you couldn’t use the hot tub after 7:00? Also coffee not put out until 7:30- not good for us early risers. They state breakfast on website, but don’t provide.

The location of the hotel was great, very central to shopping areas, restaurants, and tourist attractions. The hotel made you feel like you time traveled, it’s gorgeous and antique with modern touches. Perfect for a little getaway.

The shower pressure was not the best but its expected in an older building. The terrace was a little too crowded with random furniture and the railing needs to be updated. Its a safety issue - but again its kind of expected in these older buildings.

Absolutely loved the location! Close to most things to do in Old San Juan making it a walkable destination. Perfect for our one day trip. Hotel is located on a beautiful quiet street off one of the main streets. It really gave you a feel of embracing the city's history as it's very quaint with a lot of charm. Felt safe walking around at night and you entered the hotel with a provided code for the door. Shout out to Luna who checked us in and gave fabulous restaurant recommendations. She was very sweet and welcoming. Definitely recommend the upgrade to the king suite as it's very private.and roomy. Note there is no staff on the premises after 4pm.

The check in time is a definite negative. It's a small hotel and it appears that the posted check in time is accurate. You can leave your bags with the attending staff until you're notified with a call that your room is ready. It would've been nice to have some continental breakfast or refreshments.

This hotel was absolutely stunning! Much more beautiful in person. When we travel, we like to actually experience the places where we stay and avoid resorts. This hotel is in the heart of old San Juan. It gives you an old world feel with someone modern amenities. We plan on returning to Puerto Rico and will be back to Villa Herencia Hotel.

There was some dripping from the Air Conditioner but nothing you couldn’t avoid. It’s important to understand as a traveler, that you are in a different country and not be so critical about things. If you want absolute comfort pay the price of a resort.

The hotel is very cute and pretty cozy. The location is unbeatable. Staff members are very helpful and friendly. It's within walkable distances to almost all the restaurants and places I want to hit in old San Juan.

The check-in instruction was not communicated very well. I was not told the code to get in the door after 5pm or the wifi password. The staff left after 5pm so make sure you ask for everything you need before that. There is also a very loud water fountain right outside of my room which makes it impossible to sleep in.

Very nice hotel with a unique design and a good ambiance and right in the city center which is walking distant from everything in old San Juan. They also have a rooftop terrace where you can enjoy some drinks and chill under the shadow

It would have been nice if there was a fridge in the room to store some drinks - they do have an ice machine ans a bucket though

No breakfast due to COVID. The location could not have been better. The manager was welcoming and very helpful with good ideas of what to see and where to eat.

The architecture of the hotel is such that there was no window. This was alright with us because we only stayed one night. If we had stayed longer it would have been a problem.

There was only regular coffee. There was NO breakfast.

The check in process was not good as there was not good clear communication how to check in as there is no staff there after 4, which is a common arrival time. We were let in by another person staying there and ended up doing the same for another couple.
