The facilities are awesome. Huge beautiful room. It was very relaxing to watch from the pool everyone else down there hurriedly transfering.

They did a good job hiding the hotel's entrance in plain sight right in the middle the airport. That's good for privacy, but can confuse you when you are arriving tired from a long flight. Adding to the confusion is the fact that there are two hotels in the transfer zone and they are named similarly. I suggest guests prepare a good map of the hotel's entrance, to find it more easily.

I had a 20hr layover with my 8yr old. So this option was PERFECT for someone who didn't want to be exhausted and still have 13hrs of flight time ahead. The pool is gorgeous, the room super comfortable, the staff super nice and efficient. We ate at both the food courts, explored the rainforest as well 😀 A super airport for exploring.

There are a couple of things that could be better considering this is a transit/less than 24hr stay hotel. Here is my wishlist/things that didn't exist: - all electric outlets should be multi plugs and not just the one near the desk so far away from the bed - there be a quick dryer (there are small ones usually at higher end pools) for swim suits as you have to carry your soggy swimwear with you. - the TV wasn't a smart tv or one where you can cast from your device so we were stuck watching tv we couldn't understand.

Super convenient location for transit, big room, nice shower, quite comfy bed.

ZERO sound insulation! We could hear everything that’s going on in the corridor. And capsule coffee machine would have been nice in this price bracket, instead of nescafe instant coffee packets…

It’s cleanliness and comfort specially before taking a long haul flight.

Complementary drinkjng water should be provided; this is too basic a facility these days.

They reach out to me few days before my stay and asked the time of my flight and gave me detailed directions on how to reach the hotel from any side of the airport. The hotel is very convenient and comfortable. Rooms very spacious and the toilet with amenities and towels and very clean. Check in was super fast, although when I arrived there was a scary queue it took less than 5 min to me to check in. The staff was very conscious about my flight time and offer me a wake up call and when I refuse they said they’ll do it anyway to be on the safe side. Was great seeing this sense of responsibility. Great sleep and the soundproofing is spot on! The view to the main hall is nice and the fact that you don’t hear a sound coming in makes it more pleasant. By the time of the check out the staff checked my gate, wrote it on my ticket and gave me directions in how to reach (my flight was in the other extreme of the airport took me 15 min to reach).

It’s overpriced. I understand that they want to level up the standard and offering swimming pool among other activities. But it’s forgotten the main purpose that is transit hotel most of the people cannot play squash while waiting. I fell that I could have paid half of it. For this price they didn’t have nobody to help me with the luggage (as I traveling by myself with a baby) No breakfast included, only room service chargeable. I preferred paying extra for swimming at 2am than to have breakfast at 7am.

Would I prefer to pay less? Sure! However, after a 16 hour flight and almost as many till the next one, it's so worth it. It also helps to adapt faster since you reach your destination more energised and refreshed. I also had time to enjoy the beautiful swimming pool in the evening and had it all to myself, too – don't know if it gets full at other times. There were coffee, tea, and biscuits in the room. The bed linen and mattress were awesome. The room was completely dark after I closed the shutters. It was completely quiet so I woke up well-rested. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made my stay even better. Totally recommend. I would advise to book about a month in advance as it tends to get more expensive closer to the date.

Large bathroom and Rooms and comfy beds Very close to gates - allowed us a lie in, no security or check in required.

We had a 22 hour layover - i asked the hotel prior to checking in about arranging tours and leaving the hotel and they referred me to check externally or with transfers. who i asked on arrival and they incorrectly advised me to go through immigration - which once you go through have to go through security to reenter hotel. so we ended up going on tour with our bags which was inconvenient. given the number of people on transit I would expect them to know & best advise to maximise time in Doha and how to enter and reenter for ease.

I recently stayed at Oryx at Qatar Airport during a layover with my children, and the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. We also appreciated the excellent dining options available, which catered to a variety of tastes, including kid-friendly meals. Going for shopping was super close and convenient for last minute purchases. I would highly recommend Oryx to anyone traveling through Qatar, especially families with children. The hotel is very clean, spacious, and with comfortable beds. The location is also great and, despite all the airport noises, the room is soundproofed so you won't be bothered by that. The swimming pool, gym, and spa areas are big and not crowded (in our case). The price is premium but you pay for the convenience: we woke up 1h before our boarding time and that's a compelling argument against going outside of the airport. The staff was polite and attentive

We ordered food in the room and it's not the best but this is the same for all the food courts in the airport. The pool had a lot of chlorine so you can't swim in it too long.

Located right in the heart of the main terminal at Doha, the rooms overlook the LV Teddy Bear and the hustle and bustle of one of the world’s busiest airports. The rooms are spacious, modern and extremely clean, with good airconditioning, lovely bed linen and blockout curtains. The hotel also has a pool (heated) and jacuzzis (gender separated) inside the large change rooms. I believe there is also a gym and a golf simulator. These facilities are free for hotel guests which was perfect! We had a 13 hour connection overnight, so we booked this hotel in advance and we were so glad we did. The beds were comfortable, the rooms extremely quiet and the staff really lovely and helpful, and efficient. Highly recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay in the Doha airport and you have a long connection.
