The welcomeness and flexibility of staff, amazing location, very good quality breakfast, also comfy rooms.

It was not possible for the guest of the hotel to go to have afternoon tea or sum lunch in lobby in bibliotek or vinterhaven bars. Was staying 3 nights, all days were fully booked.

The breakfast was phenomenal. The concierge - who deserves a raise - went above and beyond to help us and is single-handedly elevating the customer service of the hotel. The desserts in the cafe were fantastic. Room and specifically the bed was quite comfortable. There were a few key receptionists that were cheerful, enthusiastic and helpful. With a few tweaks would be a true luxury hotel.

Firstly, it's not actually a 5-Star hotel. There are no real valets nor bell-hops. The receptionists when available do their best to help - but it is incorrectly rated on booking.com as its actually a 4-Star. Parking was overly expensive at $55/day. I slipped and fell from a quite dangerous step in the bathroom on a waxed wooden floor and really hurt myself with extensive bruising and the receptionist at that time that I mentioned it too basically expressed indifference and made no effort of trying to resolve the problem - eg suggesting a mat or alternative solution.

Amazing breakfast buffet. Good location.

On the day of our departure we had to leave before the included breakfast buffet had opened and despite our asking if we could get a coffee or croissant to go the front desk made no effort to help us. A stark contrast to the next hotel we stayed at where they offered to provide a "to go" option for us when we were in the same situation.

Overall experience was great. Location in Oslo couldn’t be any better, near lots of attractions, shops and transport links. Hotel and room were immaculate throughout our stay, even with the very wet weather. Breakfast is brilliant, great selection and staff very attentive and always on hand to help in anyway. Would recommend trying the hot chocolate a try in the Winter Garden and Library Bar.

Only complaint was one staff member, from the bar/restaurant opposite reception. Looked like a senior staff member going by her uniform. She wasn’t very pleasant or welcoming. We didn’t let this one negative put us off enjoying our time, all the other staff throughout our stay were lovely!

We decided to return to the Hotel Bristol on our return to Oslo. In addition to everything I've already mentioned, going back to a place with familiar people was quite pleasant. I hadn't mentioned the breakfast at this hotel. Fabulous. As much as you like to sleep a little longer watching the snow falling through the window, you won't want to miss it, everything is very good, the fish very fresh, the bakery, the people of the hot season. It's worth it. We followed with excellent guidance from the Concierge staff and this time we decided to visit the afternoon tea, because every day this space was full of people. And even if we are staying, we need a reservation because the event is very popular. This time, I stayed in a room on the 6th floor and could observe the city from above, all covered in snow.

Excellent central location close to everything. Stunning classic hotel. Room was spacious and beautiful, bathroom had a double sink, fantastic shower and L'Occitane products. Can't praise the staff enough. Lina, the Portuguese guy and the wonderful gentleman at reception couldn't do enough to help us and answer all our questions. We met some of the pastry chef team on a night out, and they sent a gorgeous dessert up to our room, which was a true work of art. We were able to check in earlier than the usual check-in time when we arrived and were allowed to store our luggage safely until our evening flight on the day we were leaving Honestly, we can't speak highly enough of our experience at the Bristol. If we ever find ourselves in Oslo again, we won't be booking anywhere else. Thank you for everything guys, and we wish you a happy and healthy 2025!

There were only 2 minor things that could be improved - the temperature on the air con control panel on the wall was not easy to read and there could be some hotel slippers for guests who didn't bring their own. Other than that, absolutely nothing!

I liked classical interior design, staff (except for one lady serving coffee and cleaning up the tables), clean room upon arrival, location, good breakfast, gym (but with equipment rather men oriented). Generally, 5S hotel but with the price and standard for 4S.

Some things were out of order (shoe cleaning machine, ice machine), the staff has no idea how to make beds. Daily cleaning was not quite satisfactory.

A wonderful hotel, which combines the old-world grandeur of the opulent main rooms with modern comfort in the stylish bedrooms. It's wonderfully centrally located, close to all of Oslo's major sights and we had a fantastic stay here.

Our room was unfortunately on the third floor opposite the 'London Pub' and as Spring had sprung in style on our chosen weekend in early April, people were out on the street in front of it until the early hours. It was rather loud but reception provided us with earplugs that sorted that out.

Hotel Bristol is a charming hotel in an ideal area of Oslo. The hotel is in walking distance of most major sites and museums and is surrounded by bars, restaurants and shopping. It's also walkable from two different large train stations both with access to the airport train. The breakfast selection was amazing and I was very impressed by the gym as well. Beds were also super comfy and the TVs had a function where you could stream whatever you wanted off your phone. Staff was friendly and check in/ check out process was smooth. I enjoyed my stay here so much that I stayed an extra night the day before my flight. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again. It is great value for the location, level of service, and amenities offered.

The view from my room on the second stay was not as nice as the first. On my first stay they offered me options on the view which I thought was nice. I chose the "livelier" side with a street view which had a good vibe and I really enjoyed that room. On the second stay they just assigned me a random room and it was on a lower floor overlooking a roof, but because I was only there for one night I didn't really mind.
