Breakfasts were excellent. Plenty of choice and the food was good, nicely cooked and well presented. All the bedrooms that we saw looked lovely. Nice and comfortable and good facilities. We had a room overlooking the sea which was an added bonus.

Nothing. The only slight comment I would have is that the shower cubicle needed a bit of attention. I think we probably had the most popular room so can understand that it gets well used.

What a fantastic b+b, our hosts were incredible, so friendly and accommodating, interested in us and our stay and full of ideas of local events and entertainment! The stay was lovely, room comfortable, breakfast perfect and hosts were the best! Great location, seafront, beautiful views, 5- 10 min walk to shops/ bars , really lovely place to stay and highly recommend!

Lovely management.Provided us with exceptional hospitality starting from parking space to places we can visit around Eastbourne .The room Was clean and had all necessary facilities .Breakfast was lovely and the location was close to the beach .I could sit on the balcony and enjoy the sea view .

There as a wide choice for breakfast including a fruit bowl , overnight soaked oats and pancakes besides eggs and bacon and sausage. It was truly scrumptious. Catherine and Howard personally saw to our every need

Nothing . A wee bit noisy in the afternoon because of the cars passing by but then we were in a road facing gorgeous room overlooking the sea too... you cant have it all!!

I booked Bassets House for my parents anniversary. The hosts were excellent and went above and beyond to make their stay extra special. Highly recommended and my parents thoroughly enjoyed their week’s stay.

Breakfast was amazing, staff very welcoming,room was clean only one problem the toilet seat was a little wobbly

We made mistake of ordering a takeaway to be told no food in the room it wasn’t made clear or we would never of done this we did go out and eat it but was not a clear sign saying we couldn’t until it was pointed out so only silly thing is put more clearly

Great breakfast - cannot be faulted - good location right on the front only about 20/30 minutes walk up to the pier

This lovely little place is in the perfect location just a short walk from the town centre. The couple that run Bassets House are attentive and lovely. He knows how to cook an excellent breakfast, and it was a great way to start the day. She was very friendly and was an excellent host.

Having to leave after just two nights.

This is an excellent location, opposite the Redoubt. The welcome, and all the breakfasts, were exceptionally good. The whole place is very clean and the owners, Cathy and Howard, obviously take a justified pride in their service.

These are very minor points and don't really detract from what I have already written. The wifi, with our room being at the top of the house, wasn't always accessible (though it mostly was) and the room was a little on the smaller side.

Great location, not too close to the pier to be noisy but close enough to walk to beach and pier. Breakfast fresh and tasty. Had a set breakfast time and needed to give breakfast order the night before but that worked out perfectly. Room clean and tidy with free tea, coffee, water and biscuits. Staff very welcoming and friendly, good knowledge of area and very helpful.

The pillows were a tad firm but nothing wrong apart from that.
