I don't do breakfast so cannot comment on that facility. The hotel is immaculately clean, the staff are really very pleasant, helpful and professional. I had a single room with sea view. I stayed for just over a week and my room was thoroughly cleaned every day (I re-use my towels for conservation reasons, but they were changed on the third day). I really enjoyed getting back to my room after being out. The bed was comfortable, the linen good quality, the table perfect for working on laptop and the view of the sea was really relaxing.

Friendly and helpful staff who were happy to answer questions about parking and places to eat, booking in was straightforward and information about access in and out of the hotel clearly explained. Room was basic but very clean and well-maintained.

Very little to criticise about my stay. Only when minor irritation, due to the room have thin plasterboard walls there was a bit of noise leakage from adjacent rooms. You could hear muffled voices from telephone conversations and on one night the person next day was snoring loudly Perhaps not a place to stay if your are an exceptionally light sleeper!

Attractive building with lovely reception area. My room was comfy - bed comfy and shower pressure okay. WiFi fine. Location opposite sea is great, and it’s a very short walk to local eateries and shops including the lovely new Beacon shopping centre. Breakfast was freshly made to order - fruit salad with a good variety of fruit in like blueberries and pineapple, full English breakfast and a cafetière of coffee. There was a good variety of alternatives too. Staff were very friendly.

From the moment I checked in, I was greeted by the friendly lady at reception. Room had everything I wanted, comfy bed, great sea view. Shower was perfect to use (not fiddly like you get at some hotels!). Not far from the pier, and about a ten minute walk from the train station. I was able to drop my bag off early before check-in, with no fuss, into a secure locked room. All staff from reception lady, to the girl who served my breakfast, the cleaner I came across, and the porter guy who let me in just after midnight, were all courteous and friendly. Would definitely visit again.

I stayed 2 nights at the riviera, my room wasn't ready but I'd arrived early so went to get some eats, I ask for sea view room preferring double bed. The room was very clean bed very comfy ! Bathroom ok it was very clean but trying to get into the shower which was over the bath was a little tricky as a glass portion nr the tap ends but it was OK, water lovely n hot, kettle nice n clean plenty coffee and teas etc!

I didn't like the coffee sachets so I bought a jar of coffee, I don't think the fridge was working properly as the milk I'd brought wasn't cold when I'd taken it out. Curtains only just fitted the windows I found I couldn't shut 1 window properly, but room wasn't cold! No bottled water in room would have been nice.

Very clean. Communal areas lovely. Very good breakfast. The room had everything it should have to provide an adequate facility. The staff had the right touch. Convenient location for pier, promenade, city centre and tourist transport. Room door entry was good. Felt safe. Good sea view. Secure window. Lookedlije room had been freshly painted. Touch mirror in the bathroom.

Fixtures still need attention. Loose bathroom door knobs.. Nowhere in shower to rest eg shower gel etc. I had to hang a plastic bag. Sink could be upgraded to mixer tap and new plug and water outlet at next upgrade. No bathroom bin. Flush caused lid to raise and slam down noisily.

The location was great. It was right by Eastbourne Pier and the beach. I had an enjoyable cooked breakfast each morning, which kept me going for most of the day. This was handy as I didn't have to buy much food at the Tennis. The room was more spacious than I expected for a budget single room. I appreciated been able to check in at 2pm. The staff here were friendly and approachable. Daria on the reception desk was especially helpful. She did a great job staffing the desk and also doing the breakfasts at the same time.

More toiletries could have been provided in the room, like shower gel. The sink was too small to fill up the kettle from.

Liked the bed very comfy and large we had a back facing room not seaview but found it fine good size room bathroom 2 big windows for ventilation.heating if we needed it also.hairdryer on wall.tea coffee facilities.didnt have breakfast at hotel so cant comment on that.quiet communial lounge 2 tvs in diffrent areas so partner could c football and very quiet as not used by many only 2 others taht eve sat there

Bigger bath as partner quite tall so he sat up in it,but was a shower also so fine

It was all very clean the breakfast was very good i would say one of the best I have had in a hotel. And as for the location it was just right and the parking was just over the road that was a good bonus as walking for us is difficult now days.

The location was perfect, dead opposite the beachfront near the Pier. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in need of an update, the sea view room we paid extra for was obviously on the front, but the windows were very old and as a result let in every bit of noise from the traffic outside, even when fully closed. Our room was also right over the smoking terrace so every time someone sat there for a cigarette the smoke rose to our room, which was unpleasant! The breakfast was tasty but the portions were small.
