The Barons Court is ideally located for visits to Wolverhampton. We have used it for many years when attending concerts at the Civic Hall ( ten minutes by taxi) and visiting relatives. We knew Kieth the retired manager for a long time and wish him a long and happy retirement. I hope the new owners take a note from his book of attention and friendliness.
Sadly the hotel has done away with breakfast. This is sad as I enjoyed the food . Please consider bringing it back as I fell it will effect your bookings in future.

QUIRKY in capitals. Like being in an antique store. Served its purpose, great value, room lovely and warm, free parking, smashing beeline for £8. If your working away from home, don’t hesitate, if you are looking for a romantic break with your current significant other, firstly what are you doing in Wolverhampton, maybe this is not the hotel for you. Invoice available by email so that’s always a winner. Staff super friendly,
I came in late on the evening and was putting all my attention into closing the front door gently and making sure it was locked, when I turned round the guy in a suit of armour scared the life out of me, nearly jumped out of my skin….but oh how I laughed after I changed my underpants.

Quirky hotel with lots of antiquities around the reception and on the landings. The building obviously has lots of history and this is reflected in the decor. It was a shame that I only had a short stay and could not have a better look around and find out more about the building. It was really comfortable and we had snow that day but it was so toasty in the hotel and our room. Bed was lovely and the linen really clean and crisp. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a hot shower. Plus plenty of plug sockets for chargers, hair dryer, etc (this is sometimes an issue). Very nice stay, thanks!
The only couple of things that were an issue was the blind in the bathroom was not rolled properly so it did not fit the window when I pulled it down. It did leave a gap and the window is a big one so I felt a little vulnerable when I took a shower as it was dark outside. Plus the curtains had come off the rail a little in the bedroom so didn't close properly, but I was able to secure with a hair clip (I would have tried to reattach the curtain but the rail is high up and I couldn't reach.) Just little things that can be fixed and this property would be a 10.

Michael was so helpful and sccommodating. He booked our taxi for us to help, booking both ways. The breakfast was really good, but the wait was far too long. The chef was the server, order taker, as well as the chef!! It took 25 minutes to even get a cup of tea and have our order taken then another 20 minutes for breakfast to arrive. I felt sorry for her as she was so lovely and trying to do everything alone. If there's a few people, then an extra staff member is essential to avoid lengthy waits. However this wouldn't stop us staying there again, if we go to Wolverhampton.

Also the room was so hot, we turned the radiator valve down to 0.5 but still really hot . Outside our door was a skylight but it was plastic. Unfortunately it was heavy rain all night, which made such a loud noise on the plastic. I think if it was glass it wouldn't have been so loud.

The beds were comfortable, the shower, toilet and sink along with soap and towels were satisfying. There was a kettle with choice of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Quite a comfortable plsce. Quite simple to get to. My teenage son and i were pretty satisfied.
The employee who was present was not very friendly. The car park seemed full and he couldn't have cared less about finding a parking space for us even though on booking.com I was informed that there would be free on-site parking. We arrived before chreckin closed. He said that everyone else had arrived and there was no space for us. He couldn't be bothered to help us out and had no idea if there was any parking on the street. Fortunately, I did find one space in the hotel parking that was "hidden" that the employee could have found if he had just moved his legs to check. Very unfriendly guy.

The hotel was quirky and sprawling but the rooms were well laid out, the bedding crisp and clean and the facilities exceptional for the price including tea and coffee facilities, a bath and hairdryer. Excellent value for money and nicely located for the centre.
The pillows were lumpy, I couldn’t reach the blinds in the bathroom for the sake of privacy and the bedroom would have benefited from a black out blind given the size of the windows in both rooms but given the £50 charge for a double room I am probably being overly critical. If they used a little mould remover on the grouting and around the screen in the bathroom it could have been completely spotless. I was also a little concerned that we were given one masterkey to access both rooms as the key maker was faulty. If I had been travelling alone (as I often do) I would have found this alarming especially as the doors could not be double locked from the inside.

Breakfast was very nice and at a competitive price of a full English for only £8. The room was very comfortable and the hotel was clearly old, but well looked after, with beautiful interiors. The dining area was especially nice.
We were meant to be given a room key and a front door key. Instead, we were given two copies of our room key. We didn't realise this until it was time to return to the hotel, and unfortunately, this meant that we couldn't get back into the hotel after our plans, and we had to ring the doorbell and disturb the landlord.

Absolutely lovely place with lots of beautiful decor love the knights armour in the reception just as you walk in and the room was lovely, bed was comfortable and clean and was tea and coffee and even hot chocolate available which was brilliant lovely bathroom with bath and shower, even provided us with plates and cutlery for our takeaway we ordered, staff we’re really kind and helpful even showed us to our room which I’ve been to many hotels and not received that so thank you, and the check in time was 14:00/22:30 which suited us and the checkout time was 11:00 which means you get to have a lie in bed and a shower which is brilliant and breakfast is available also but we didn’t have any on this stay but definitely will in the future.
There’s isn’t anything bad I have to say about this hotel only good thing.
