Nice property - would stay again. Small B&B with friendly owners who know a lot about the area. Spotless, modern rooms and bathrooms with good quality bedding. Rooms feel like a hotel - much better than others we've stayed at. Towels, toiletries, coffee/tea in the room, TV, great little library with lots of books. Sitting room with sofa for you to sit in, which is needed since the deck/balcony is really small and only accommodates two families. Nice breakfast. Good options - full English, eggs Benedict, toast, porridge etc.

Bathroom could use a shower curtain or screen. The bathroom is nice - don't get me wrong - it just felt odd to have nothing separating the shower from the sink.

What a great find this was. Lovely place that has recently been revamped according to the owner Bob. I arrived early and knocked on the door to ask if it was okay to leave my bag and car whilst I went off with a colleague. Bob immediately ushered me inside and gave me a key to my room. The room was very spacious, clean and well decorated. And the bed was probably the most comfortable I have slept in. I usually struggle to sleep away from home. Not this time, I was out like a light. Breakfast was really good, fresh produce cooked perfectly. The team here are really friendly and I couldn’t have wished for a better stop over. I would definitely stay here again.

The Lorne House is very easy to reach by public transport - via Bath Spa and then Uber or bus. The guesthouse is delightful with a common sitting room and a kitchen that can be used by the guest. This was really great as we were travelling with our baby - I could use the kitchen to store her food and prepare her meals! We also made a good use of the sitting room during a rainy afternoon. The room was very comfortable, the shower was great but the best thing of all was the great energy and hospitality of Bob and Liz. Thank you!

Liz, Rob, and their family are excellent hosts. The house was impeccably clean yet felt very homely. The facilities are impressive, and the location is easy to find. I was particularly impressed by the breakfast, which had a five-star presentation showcasing the hosts' refined taste and attention to detail. The stay was very comfortable—I highly recommend it.

The hotel is situated next to a busy road, which might cause noise issues for light sleepers. Additionally, it would be perfect if the guests can enjoy the garden.

The property was nicely decorated, very clean and tidy. It’s located in a good area with easy bus transport to the city centre. Some good recommendations for restaurants made by the hosts also nearby & within a short walk. Room was good sized with great facilities. Breakfast was very tasty!

Location was perfect, not too close to Bath and not too far. if visiting Bath or Cotwolds this is the best location. Room provided to us was the top floor with a foldable balcony. highly recommend taking this view (breathtaking views). Rooms were supplied with everything required. Last but not least, breakfast was delicious.

Parking during the weekday could be a bit of hassle.

Lovely welcome from Liz, we were Room 8, get this one if you can! One window pushes out to become a balcony! The comfiest bed, really lovely shower. The whole place is so clean and calm and quiet, we absolutely loved it. Breakfast was really nice, we had full cooked, I had the veggie version. We literally couldn't fault it. Stunning location too

The road outside is busy, that's literally the only thing but obviously that's nothing to do with the place itself. And once inside we didn't hear it at all.

Good room size. Generous bath size. Well furnished. Friendly owners.

Looked around with a critical eye and could only notice a scratched anodized plating of the washing basin drain cover. It would ideally be helpful if the hot and cold taps on the sink as well as shower had easy to understand signs for hot, cold and which direction to turn.

Perfect location! Very friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely room which was very clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast! Couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay!

Nothing to not like!

Lovely house with many old features. Bedroom was spacious and the bed was so comfy. Ability to use the kitchen if desired. Located approx 10-15 mins drive from Bath in a quaint little village and only a 30 minute bus ride (X31). Owners were very friendly and sourced some vegan sausages and oat milk for a vegan breakfast which was much appreciated.
