Staff was very friendly & helpful. Their binder of information about Powell River was very detailed, complete & appreciated. The staff helped with the mix up with the booking which was created when we asked for an additional day for our reservation. The mix-up was not their fault or ours it was booking.com's

Because of the hill that the motel is situated on parking was very difficult for some rooms. People with mobility issues would find this motel not very good unless they were in certain rooms. They would have to specify that they have mobility concerns before booking a room. We found getting in & out of our vehicle very difficult, loading & unloading as well but staff did help us with this at times.

Having facilities to cook. Having a full refrigerator with freezer in which to store my food and freezer packs. Having a tub with low sides so I could get in and out easily; a table for eating and using my computer. A quiet, easily adjusted air conditioner as it was beastly hot during my visit.

Lack of accessible plugins for my devices. But I understand that older construction just did not have the amount of wiring that is common today, since we did not have so many devices requiring plugins then. I made out fine with my own cords and multi-plug. Monstrous beds taking up most of the room. Hard to navigate around these too huge too saggy beds. Difficulty driving up the steep hill and getting in and out of my stall. But that was mostly because of my arthritic shoulder and hands, which make handling my manual car in such circumstances difficult.

Right in the middle of town with lots of shops and places to eat. Close to the ferry terminal. Price was decent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The young guy that checked us in and showed how to use the AC, TV and lights. There was a kitchenette with a lot of appliances including a larger fridge microwave kettle and air fryer plug in cook top. This was a room for 2 so enough dishes for 2-3 people. The bed was super comfy but a double which is fine for my son and I. We are both 5’4”. The bathroom was huge. Everything was clean and the owners live on site. Very nice lady!! The motel is an older one that has been refurbished so every inside was new. They looked like little bungalows with their own parking spot. I loved it

It wasn’t something I didn’t like per se, it’s that all of Powell River is on a hill so the driveway getting into the place is steep but parking spot in front of our place it was level. There were 3 stairs to the entrance of out suite. It may be an issue with some people with mobility issues.

The staff here are extremely welcoming and incredibly kind. The location is superb! We stayed for 3 nights and could walk to different restaurants each evening for dinner. The view is fabulous! The kitchenette has great appliances including an air fryer. I would definitely stay here again.

We are from a very small town and it took a couple nights to get used to the light pollution and the noise of being in a central location. A bedside table lamp would have been great to have.

We stayed in Unit 11 and the view was stunning! Overlooking the water, we watched humpback whales and a beautiful sunset from the front seating area! Others have mentioned the steep drive up - it is steep but we had a level parking space at the top and actually although at first glance they looked daunting, parking in front of the other units looked OK. Most people reversed in without any trouble. The unit seems recently refurbished, with new flooring, comfy beds. The bathroom shower-over-bath unit was maybe a little older but clean and the shower was great with lots of hot water. Kitchenette was really well-equipped with microwave plus loads of other appliances - including an air fryer - in the cupboard below. WiFi was great, the unit had its own modem and my teenage son approved of the speed. We booked this last-minute from not much choice but we would choose to stay here again.

The laminate flooring did have one or two pieces that had raised slightly, creating a stub-your-toe edge but when noted, it could be avoided... it might not wear well over time though.

I thought I'd booked the oceanview suite, but somehow didn't. They couldn't move us the first night, but for a few dollars more they switched us to an oceanview suite for the next 2 nights. The staff were very nice. It was lovely view. We liked the fully stocked kitchenette with cooking pads. All very nice. Powell River has many beaches, ocean and lake. We visited them all.

First time staying here.. very happy. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted and personally escorted to our room - and shown how to operate everything. Check out a breeze, we were leaving early so just needed to leave our curtains open when leaving - digital key entry, so no keys to return! The view of the ocean and mountains was amazing!

The view was beautiful, the motel was located on a hill above the ocean. The morning brought a beautiful sunrise, evening sunset. There was little noise coming from the traffic or neighbours. The room was clean, and offered appliances so you were able to make your own meal. Was located within walking distance to beaches, and food stores.

The location was great. It was within easy walking distance to a number of restaurants. The ocean view was nice too.The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The room had a full kitchenette, although we did not do any cooking in it other than coffee and tea, etc.

There could have been a bath mat or bathtub strips in the tub as it was quite slippery for us seniors.

It was very quiet as far a traffic goes and no one beside us. The very polite and friendly host offered us a room where no one was beside us.

There was a noticeable hum that bothered me while trying to get to sleep. I don't know where it came from....not the fridge. To be fair, I live in the country where it is very quiet so I'm more sensitive to noise than someone from an urban environment.
