We has a great stay at this quiet and peaceful location right in the centre of the city - very easy to travel around from by ferry, bus, or on foot. Staff were all very warm and welcoming, always available and incredibly helpful when needed. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice including gluten free options, and we enjoyed the restaurant in the evening as well when arriving late. Our room was modern, warm, and comfortable, with a nice shower. It was very nice being so close to so many of the museums we wanted to see, including the modern art museum next door.

Nothing! But useful to know that the ferry/bus doesn't run late into the evening at least while we were there in February so needed to either walk or get a taxi back past 8pm or so. Not a problem for us though.

Overall a comfortable and pleasant hotel in a historical building on a quiet and conveniently located island near the city center and the old town and across from another island containing major museums, all easily accessible by walking, ferries or buses. Front desk personnel very pleasant and helpful. Good restaurant on premises, included nice breakfast with excellent coffee. Only minor criticisms were odd style of bathroom sink, artistically interesting but extremely non-functional, and unsupportive pillows. Room otherwise quite adequate with pretty view over bay.

Breakfast was a little chaotic when busy due to the narrowness of the room, but that is a small issue. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food very nice and plentiful and the overall ambience was very tranquil and charming. Our room was very nice, spacious and comfortable with a very nice shower. The location is great with a regular ferry service to Djursgaard island with the many museums and attractions it has to offer, the ferry also goes directly to the Old Town which is very charming with lots of shops and restaurants. It is also possible to walk into Old Town easily in around 20 minutes.

The only thing that was not to our taste was that we ate dinner in the restaurant 1 night and both of our dishes were over salted. We may have just been unlucky on that evening as breakfast was never like that.

Breakfast was plentiful, healthy, relaxed and had a wide variety of well presented dishes, breads, pastries etc Every member of staff was friendly, helpful and always ready to help with questions eetc Location was perfect for exploring the city - quiet and picturesque, yet only a 10-15 minute walk to the central building interesting to tourists such as the National museum and Royal Palace) Room was airy with lovely view of the sea. Linen was soft as soft!

It was all perfect - exactly what I hoped for

Amazing place on a green island in the middle of everything, between museums, the royal palace and the amusement park. Hotel in a reconstructed historical building with a high standard, friendly service and a unique atmosphere. The windows with original frames are held open using a casement stay, however, the air conditioning is easy to control, the breakfast and food in the restaurant are of high quality.

Only the designer knows why there is water splashing on the designer ceramic stone in the bathroom sink, why the overhead shower has to run in order to start the hand shower, and why there is no bidet. The restaurant lacks draft beer. And watch out for the last ferry, the Skeppsholmen stop is on the sign and the crew might miss it on the way from Gröna Lund. But it can't spoil your mood.

Breakfast was good, staff efficient and pleasant. The building including its history was interesting. Location on the island was unusual and surrounded by trees. Options of walking across the bridge or a ferry to the Old Town and Djurgarden were great. The three armchairs in the room were comfortable; the room was large and light, and windows could be opened.

Some aspects of the room. eg. the shallow pebble wash basin looked stylish but was a bit irritating to use; bed lights too close to the sitting position directly above ones head.

Fabulous location. Right by ferry pick up to old town, peaceful as no other hotels near by. The food was excellent when we had dinner one evening. The breakfast was amazing - everything anybody could want and very fresh and hot. The staff were lovely, really friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

There was nothing we didn’t like but it would be nice to have more comfortable and relaxing seating in the lounge area of the dining area as the seats were not very comfortable.

Location - Beautiful hotel in really tranquil location. Close enough (20 mins) that you can walk to town, but on its own little island - silent at night and stunning views of the sea and old town across the water. Room - spacious, clean, calm. Extremely comfortable bed. Thoughtful interiors, strong shower. Service - incredible, nothing was too much trouble. Plug converters, extra pillows, a kettle with beautiful loose-leaf tea, ironing board and iron, and an extra early breakfast to go was prepared for us one morning when we had to get out before the breakfast buffet opened. They were also kind enough to offer us a complementary early check in because the room was ready when we arrived. Everyone kind and professional. Food - breakfast buffet is exceptional quality. Also dined one night and food was beautiful.

Honestly, nothing.

The hotel was in a great location and loved the history of the building and the conversion, it was really interesting. The staff were great and the breakfast was incredible!

The rooms were simple which is fine but the bathroom felt tired and the shower just didn't feel clean ... grout discoloured, dirty corners. The sink was the weirdest and most awkward to use and this was the worst thing about the room, it made washing and brushing teeth a bit painful as water went everywhere!. I understand they have gone for a quirky design but design versus functionality sometimes doesn't work. The lounge area where you can have a drink (adjacent to the restaurant) was very small and 4 couples and it was full. As there was 4 of us, it made it difficult to find space for a drink before heading out to dinner.

Very clean, great restaurant, staff were great. Bus stop very close and easy to use. We were there at the beginning of January, there was ice and snow, so some might have found it a little difficult to walk off the island (elderly, children, people with motion difficulties), but the bus was quite frequent!

The double too is very small, with a small bed (ours was anyway) so we had to upgrade to a larger room, which was amazing!
