I love the relaxation area downstairs with the sauna and cold plunge pool, the breakfast was delicious, hotel staff were lovely, and the hotel was right across from the bus stop so it was very convenient.

It was quite hot the two nights I stayed here, so I was a tad disappointed that the window could not be opened very far (understandable, but a fly wire could be used to prevent things coming in or going out the window), and there was a fan provided, but it was not very strong. It also seems quite inconvenient that the front door has only steps? I did not see a ramp, so for those on wheelchairs or travellers who often have bags on wheels, it is not that convenient to enter.

I've stayed at the Reisen twice - once with my boyfriend for my birthday and another time, I booked the hotel for my parents when they visited Stockholm. Both times were very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices. The best part of the stay is using the sauna and swimming pool! The fuzzy slippers and bathrobes in the room are a nice touch, too. The Reisen's location by the water in Gamla Stan is excellent and within walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. You can also walk across the street and take a boat ride to other areas of Stockholm.

Some of the rooms are quite small but that's typical for central Stockholm.

We had dinner their the first night -- excellent! The room at front overlooked the water and a 3-masted schooner on the island opposite -- all beautiful. Although on a fairly busy road the rom was quiet enough with the windows closed. The staff were without exception very friendly, helpful and efficient. Could not ask for better people.

Our room was not inexpensive, but was VERY small -- turning around in the bathroom and avoiding sitting on the loo while using the basin was challenging. We are not fat people -- if you are, get a bigger room!

We loved the location. The room was brilliant with a beautiful view. Room service was great and staff were very helpful. We also enjoyed the spa downstairs. A lovely friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel, at the same time as being very private. Wonderfully quiet but also everything, restaurants, museums, bars, shops etc etc were all right there.

It was a bit disappointing that the cocktail bar was closed, but the front bar was open so it wasn’t a problem. We really enjoyed our martinis!

Hôtel Reisen is certainly one to visit again. Very centrally located, with very good staff and quite good facilities. Rooms are not very big but ours was big enough thanks to the private sauna that we greatly enjoyed. Clearly recommended.

Too pricey for the overall offering. The restaurant was decent but nothing special for a 5 star hotel. There was also no water offering even in the form of water fountain if plastic bottles are not an option. Swimming pool was not at all safe for kids. Finally it made us a very bad impression, that there were only stairs to enter no ramp or alternative option for strollers or people with disabilities.

The hotel feels like an oasis in the middle of the charming Gamla Stan. The perfect staycation. The staff was super friendly and how they decorated for the holidays felt premium. Room service food was really quick and the breakfast buffet was delcious and had a great assortment. The bar felt like taken out of a hallmark movie and with great music. The spa was a nice bonus and cosy when we were able to go there during less crowded hours. The slippers given were really nice.

The spa got really crowded and no fresh towels or water available at times. But I understand it was an extra busy day. Also that the robes was very small, not that cozy and felt washed out/ outwarn. I would have prefered a robe with the material of a towel and bigger sizes. I also wished the live instruments were used and performed with during a night like new years eve.

Location is close to the old town markets and spots. Around 20min walk to the center. We walked around 10min from the public transport to this hotel which was fine. The staff was really nice, helpful and polite. We loved that they had decorated the lobby and dining area with Christmas decorations! There were just enough decorations to make the place beautiful, not over the top. Comfy but maybe a little too soft beds (but that's just my opinion). Good wifi. Breakfast was amazing! Wish we had some more time to spend and have that breakfast many days, so many options to choose from. We liked the sauna but the pool was cold (around +15c) - we went there anyway. We got a little different image from the spa when we looked at the photos. It was nice to have extra towels there and water to drink. But the spa is small, few chairs, one sauna and cold pool - so don't be surprised like we were. Oh and showers, but wouldn't shower (washing completely) there since it's not possible to lock door but that's not a problem, just go to your room with the robe.

I woke up to cars emptying the trash bins outside the hotel, but my friend didn't (I'm a sensitive sleeper) and that is not the hotels fault. Maybe a little bit expensive. Really nice stay overall!

The room pictured when we booked was deceiving. We booked a king bed with water views but it was cramped. The bathroom was so tiny only one person could actually fit in it . There was no room to open suitcases. Were shown a bigger room with a balcony but it was much more expensive. You could not sit on the balcony because the noise from an air conditioner in the next building was very noisy. This room needed a fan, it was hot. We ended up back in another room of the original category and its bathroom was larger.

The food and the service was very good. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious with many hot and cold options of all sorts. The restaurant is cozy, comfortable and tastefully appointed. All of the staff was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Our beds were super comfortable and our request for a quiet room was granted. We were very comfortable. The outside seating served by the bar was lovely for people watching.

We would have appreciated a few more options on the dinner menu and the breakfast was expensive. Also, we really needed an affordable and quick way to get our laundry done. The hotel laundry service is expensive and slow. Self serve machines would have been greatly appreciated.
