The hotel hospitality was worth the price. The place was very clean. Food always on time. I am recommending this place to anyone who need quite, peaceful and safe place to stay in durban. Thank you to everyone who hosted us during our stay at this hotel.

I loved everything about Marilyn. The stuff was Very welcoming from the very 1st day we arrived, whoever hired the workers working there made an incredible job will rate the owner 100/10. It's always lovely to meet kind people I love kind people especially those who make sure they smile everyday even on those days they don't feel like it. The rooms were very clean. The neighbourhood was also safe for my likings❤️ If I were to rate everything I would rate it a Def 11/10 I enjoyed being there and I loved being there❤️ Mostly the views🔥 I'm definitely coming back there on my next vacation to Durban.

They only problem I had with the Hotel was the WiFi it was on and off otherwise everything was fine .

Chef was great in catering for my request for no beef and no pork for breakfast. Staff were very pleasant. Parking on site and having some one on site to open the gate late at night.

No hairdryer in room. No hand towels in room WiFi did not work when load shedding started 😞

The Hotel is situated at the chest of Indian Ocean in cleanest part of Durban called Bluff. At the eastern side we were footed by the Beach but western side was at the helm shops. I liked everything about the hotel. I remember Blessing, Sabelo , Nomthandazo and the little Nomkhuleko. All were surely welcoming. Hotel setup was awesome Staff was great Rooms were ever inviting Food was tasty We felt the breeze

Hands-down Sabelo and Blessed have to be amongst the greatest staff I members I have had the pleasure to interact with, humble, approachable and just kind. The place and the view amazing

I appreciate that there are a lot of rooms and thus a lot of cleaning. Rooms were clean but a bit more effort can be put to ensure that the bins are cleaned including cups used. Personal preference would be to remove the carpet in the rooms, I honestly don't think they do justice to the beauty of the Marilyn

The reception staff was exceptionally helpful and good. They made our stay comfortable and pleasant .

The housekeeping staff, on the other hand, searched our bags and took our money. We reported the incident to the reception, and they told us they are investigating. Now we are leaving before conclusion of the investigation.

Our room was spacious with a large sea facing balcony, giving the best views and making it very comfortable for my family of 4 for our 7 night stay. The ENTIRE hotel staff are ALL wonderful and VERY accommodating. The owners, too, are incredible! Great customer service all round from beginning to end! They made sweet gestures which made our stay that much more wonderful! The food, too, was delicious! Thanks to Reshma for helping me secure a room at the hotel. My family and I will definitely be back in the future!

Wow, wow, wow, absolutely gorgeous, a warm welcome from reception, a clean entrance to a cosy and fresh room. But our highlight was the food, we had supper prepared by chef Thembi and breakfast also prepared by chef Thembi.... the smile she had on her face while serving us, made the meal taste even better. This has to be my best stay in all hotels by far. Keep it up Marilyn Team.

Would definitely recommend, likely the best option on the Bluff. Staff were friendly, helpful, and lovely all round. Would like to complement the Chef - food was great. Rooms were spacious, and clean, at all times. Beds were comfortable and the sound of crashing waves was lovely. Loadshedding did not effect our entertainment or comfort.

Dislikes were limited, but shower facilities and stairs could be difficult for the elderly or differently-abled. However, we did have an upstairs room so this might not be an issue for the first level rooms or if you consult with the staff before booking. There was also disabled parking available which was nice.

I loved how friendly the staff was from the moment we checked in and very helpful. The reception area was so beautifully decorated. The rooms are spacious, they had air-conditioning which was great because Durban was so hot that day. The beach was very close by. The breakfast was delicious.

The windows and sliding doors in the rooms were very dirty... The cutlery we used to have breakfast with was dirty.
