We had a nice warm welcome on reception. Staff there were always friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and well equipped. Bed was comfy. I loved the fact that it had an outdoor pool on the terrace and a bar. I didn't realise so it was a nice surprise. Breakfast was good and lots of choice. Just 5 mins walk from.Placa de Catalunya, where the Ho-Ho buses and the airport bus leave from. Also, it's just over 5 mins walk to Las Ramblas.

Restaurant didn't open until 8pm, which was too late to eat for us. Often, in the piano bar, there was no one to serve you, but when you called for someone, they didn't always seem happy to serve you.

Location (very close to Placa Catalanya, lots of eateries, close to Gothic Quarter and El Born etc) and staff exceptional! Cannot review bar/pool/breakfast because didn't use any of it. Even though there have been some MINOR inconveniences, i would definitely book again.

No soundproof windows towards the busy street. Also, you could here your neighbors talking. Second day no emptying of the full bin (only 1 of the 2 was emptied), no more complimentary water bottle after 2nd day. Couldn't handle the AC. It got too warm for me at night. No free mini bar. Couldn't use the deposit box (old-fashioned key lock, without the actual key being there).

Location was excellent, it is in the heart of the city center of Barcelona, close to the bus stop from airport to city center (Aerobis) and the bus stops for tour buses such as BusTuristic blue and red routes, plus local buses. It is near the metro line L3 that goes to the waterway or to the train station without having to switch lines. A small convenience store is two doors away and the main restaurant strip is only a block away. I loved the location! My room was a standard hotel room with mini frig that was sufficient for my stay, bed was comfortably firm.

To our surprise, the HCC Montblanc Hotel was much better than we had expected in every way. We were nine people. The front desk staff, every one of them, were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for the price we paid. We were much in the center of all the major attractions. Book soon, this hotel is always full. This hotel has breakfast for a price, but being in the city center, we decided to explore for local food.

We were doing five 5 bullet train trips on our stay, so the hotel was an ideal location. It was a five min walk to Tokyo station.There were two different metro lines with in 200 metres of the hotel which were very handy to get to local attractions. The only fault we had with the hotel,was that there was no tea and coffee making facility in the room, and who doesn't like a nice cuppa first thing in the morning?

The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was okay but having to get up each time to go to a machine for a cup of tea was a little frustrating. The hotel location, in the older part of town, was excellent with a metro across the road, plenty of eateries in the area and walking distance to many attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful

It would be nice to have had a kettle in the room to make a hot drink.

Fantastic location within walking distance of lots of main attractions but also near metro so travel was easy to further away sights. Hotel is clean with a lovely terrace where you can have a welcome drink after a hectic sightseeing day. Free glass of fizz on first evening. Staff are friendly and speak great english. Room was a good size with comfy beds. Breakfast was superb with a wide selection of food, both hot and cold, that was continually replenished. Lots of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of hotel. A short walk from hotel to Catalunya square means you can catch a bus to the airport for €4.60 that drops you right at departures. Amazing. would recommend this hotel.

Pool was a bit small and the hotel restaurant didn't open in the evenings which was a bit annoying as it didn't say that on their site.

Loved the central position therefore pretty much walking distance to all the main sights , great local tapas bars just around the corner . Great breakfast . Swimming pool if your thing . Helpful , courteous and friendly staff . Comfortable beds and functional bathrooms . Only negative is that the walls are paper thin therefore you hear everything from the room next door . Other than that a 10 out of 10 hotel . Worth it.

The location was very central to the city center. We walked, taxi'd or took the metro. We elected to eat breakfast at several of the pastry shops in the area which were very easy to walk to. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious. We had requested same floor which Iris was able to accommodate at check in. She was extremely helpful throughout the check in process.

My only complaint was the pillow (a little flat) but that didn't take away from the experience.
