Hotel location very good.

Didn't rate the breakfast very highly, there was ample food but the scrambled egg was very cold. I found the breakfast staff to be dismissive, I asked very politely for some cold milk whilst making a cup of tea and the request was forgotten. I made some toast at 10:00am and was told that I had 10 minutes to finish before the table is cleared. Not sure if this is standard practice, but can only comment on my own experience.

Spacious, clean, comfortable. Lots of different areas of seating/sofas etc. great pool, plenty of sun beds and umbrellas, good food, cheap booze. Great water pressure in the shower. Big, comfy beds. Great air con. One small bottle of water per person in the mini fridge.(for the whole stay). The Hotel is well positioned in a very active part of town and easy to get taxis. Only 20 minutes to Malaga airport.

Dated bathroom with a shower over the bath. Tricky to get in/out and claustrophobic once inside the cubicle. No tea/coffee in the room. (But gave me a kettle and I borrowed a cup). Balcony is tiny. Pool towels only changed every two days.

Perfect location across the road from the beautiful Puerto Marina in Benalmádena. The Alay Hotel has a very tranquil relaxed vibe so a wonderful place to chill out. We chose the bed and breakfast option and found the food choices good each day and loved eating alfresco on the outdoor patio areas each morning. The staff are by far the best asset that this hotel has - everyone from cleaners, reception, bar staff were very courteous and helpful. This is an adult only hotel - ideal for those who don't have children and want a child free holidayl. The hotel does accept well behaved dogs but we only saw one dog briefly in reception during our stay! We would definitely return to the Alay Hotel if we visit Benalmádena in the future.

Not being advised of roadworks where our balcony overlooked at side of hotel .Noise levels obviously put us off sitting and relaxing on balcony after breakfast or in the afternoon . luckily being Easter week no work happened Maundy Thursday /Good Friday . disappointing

Cleanliness, breakfast choice, bottomless juice, coffee etc. Never having a problem to select sunbeds with an umbrella. No young children, plus the quiet, distanced grassy area.

Lack of coffee/tea making facilities. Paper cups in the bathroom has a cheap feel about it. Continuously barking dogs during breakfast is something we will try to avoid in the future. This is our fault as we should have factored into our choice of hotel

Our second stay this year, and if anything even better than our first! Adults only! Great location near the beach and the Marina. Nice sea-view room. Two pools, and usually seemed to be enough sunbeds. Pools now opens at 9.00 which is great (They didn't open until 10.00 when we came in June). Good breakfast. Plenty of hot and cold options. Fantastic team at the pool bar, thank you to Javier, Mounire, Santiago and Sofia for the great service and good fun (apologies if we spelt anyone's name wrongly). Also a great team on the front desk and in the restaurant. We would definitely come back.

Wi-fi could be a bit more reliable. The hotel really needs to invest in showers which turn off automatically at the pools. We lost count of the amount of times people walked away and left them running and one of us or another guest had to get up and turn them off. Probably a small cost compared to what would be saved in wasted water.

Fabulous hotel in a great location! Modern hotel with multiple pools, sunbathing areas, restaurants and bars. Our room was a good size with a balcony. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the hotel (including our room) was kept to a very high standard of cleanliness throughout.

Bathroom could perhaps do with being updated especially the bath/shower but this was not a major issue. Our room also faced out onto the road so was a bit noisy at times but this is to be expected due to central location.

Location is spot on, right on the beach, (as are most hotels in Benalmadena / Torremelinos) near the marina. Good size rooms Comfy beds Good aircon

Hot food at breakfast is cold. Selection is great, but more attention to detail is needed. I watched a kitchen member wheel out a trolley of food…. replacing all the cold items first, leaving the fried eggs til last, that’s not sensible. A kettle in the room would be useful, you don’t get one.

The hotel was very modern, clean and had all the facilities of a 4 star hotel. A very short walk to the sea the marina and all the bars and restaurants. Brilliant location and a fabulous hotel. We would definitely stay there in the future. Breakfast was fantastic and cant think of anything that was missing. Even had piping hot churros! We didn't have evening meal but I am sure that would have been fantastic and didnt cost much more. All the pools were clean and the pool bar was excellent. Cleaner on our floor was excellent.

We had water in the room in the fridge on the first day and it would have been nice to have some every day. Apart from the above nothing negative about this hotel.

there really wasn’t much to dislike .. we had a suite which was amazing .. and would totally recommend those rooms .. 509 best views ever !! the food was average… good selection but not for me every day .. would rather eat out as there are so many places to eat and at prices we can all afford.. the staff /cleaners /managers/reception /bar staff. was all amazing. so friendly & helpful would totally recommend this hotel and area 10/10
