The location of the hotel is great, right in the city center, everything is within walking distance. Also the metro is nearby, which was very convenient. The room is quite spacious, everything is clean and tidy. Cleaning was done every day. Despite the fact that the window overlooked a noisy street, the room was quiet, very good soundproofing. The breakfast was varied. There was an ironing board in the room, which is important. The staff is very polite and friendly. Next time I will definitely stay at this hotel!

It's a pity that it is impossible to control the air conditioning in the room, it was very hot. I also missed a kettle

A wonderful location right in the centre. My single room was spacious and comfortable, tastefully furnished in a classic 1960s style, with a good bathroom. Breakfast was decent. Considering the location, the room was reasonably quiet at night, with no internal noises and only occasional blares from a distance outside.

One small quibble. The safe in the room required me to insert one euro every time I closed it. While in keeping with the circa 1960 look, and probably a vintage feature, this could be more annoying than charming to some guests - especially if you don't have a euro coin to hand.

Awesome location! In the middle of everything, short steps from the metro, we were able to do a lot of things of our list on a walk distance and loved the restaurants around!

The room has a weird smell, now sure if it was because the building is old or if it’s a cleaning product but it was annoying on the first day, I feel like we got used to it after a while. Breakfast was ok but it wasn’t great, this was our third stay in Spain and it was our least favorite breakfast unfortunately.

The location is amazing! Friendly, helpful front desk and housekeeping personnel. I loved the tiny balcony that opened to the busy street. Mostly people traffic. Comfy bed in my opinion. Love the shower head and temp.

People traffic is a different kind of loud. I liked it but someone else might find it to be noisy. Also the police are right next door and they would play their sirens a bit throughout our time there but a fair trade off for feeling safe as two ladies traveling in a foreign place.

Very central location, it was easy to walk everywhere. The hotel was small and cozy, the staff was friendly and helpful. The decor of the hotel is probably somewhat dated but I thought that the hotel was good value for what I paid - the hotel was a bit cheaper that other hotels in the centre. The area of the hotel was quite busy but didn't seem unsafe. Lots of tourists everywhere. I guess the police has some kind of office nearby because there was always a lot of police vehicles around. :-) I arrived to the city centre by the airport bus, the walk from the bus stop to the hotel was maybe 10-15 minutes. The breakfast was OK. My room had a little balcony which was cute. Internet worked well. And because everyone is thinking about this nowadays: there was no bedbugs and the hotel was otherwise clean too. :-D

LOTS OF NOISE from the street especially during evening and nights. I got used to it, but if you are a poor sleeper this is probably a problem. The safety box in the room was tiny (and you had to use coins to close/open it every time) and would not fit everything I wanted to put there. You can hear some noise from other rooms too, but luckily other guests were quiet.

Fantastic location - just off the main square and metro at Sol but within easy walking distance of the main attractions, whether to the palace one way or El Prado and the parks etc in the other. Very lively vibe around the hotel. The hotel was super clean, the bed one of the most comfortable I have ever encountered in a hotel. Breakfast was a vast range to satisfy pretty much anyone's requirements.

Nothing at all. The hotel maybe looks a little unprepossessing from the outside, but inside all is clean, organised and friendly.

The bed was comfy, the air conditioning worked well. The hotel is in a fantastic location in the heart of Sol, and the room and bathroom were clean, and the staff friendly and polite.

I found it strange there was no blanket or duvet in the room but luckily it wasn't cold there when I visited anyway. It was a little on the expensive side but considering how central it was, it was worth the price to have such a well located base to explore the city.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the very heart of the city, close to main attractions and restaurants, and shopping places, in the pedestrian area. A bit noisy at night though. Hotel staff was very helpful. The room was somewhat old fashioned, but clean and normal size. The photos on the website are accurate. The breakfast was simple, but enough for the 3 star hotel I guess.

The hotel’s location was amazing. I could walk to almost all of the major sights. Monica, the lady at the front desk was amazing. At check in she pointed out to me on a map all the places I should visit and recommended some dining options too. I followed her suggestions and had a wonderful time. She really knows her job and her customers. All the staff were kind and polite. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madrid !

The staff was very friendly. They helped me out with everything I needed. I checked in early so one of the hotel receptionists offered me another room at no extra cost. And she was also booking me taxis in advance to get around and recommended some good activities to do in Madrid and how to navigate the city. Another hotel receptionist was also helpful in advising me where I can go watch football in Madrid.

The hotel was smaller than I expected but that’s okay.
