The bathroom was a glass cube with little privacy,if you like to poop in private this may not be the hotel for you. No milk supplied in the room,plenty tea and coffee etc but no liquid or powdered milk. The breakfast room was a bit of a battlefield I actually saw arguments about queue jumpers,maybe the hotel should think about breakfast time slots based on guests time preference.

The AF Hotel is a nice property not far from the beach side of Puerto de la Cruz surrounded by restaurants and in front of the bus station. the views of the terrace are very nice and the pools are definitely the best this hotel has to offer. the price is completely fair ! all of the staff is super nice, kind and ready to help out.

the double beds were only to beds Singles brought together which means less space than normally you expect. breakfast time might be a bit rough and loud but there’s enough options for everyone.

Very clean room and facilities. Comfortable bed with 2 big pillows. Air-conditioning is working fine and keeps the room nice (it was +32 outside). The 2 pools on the roof seem quite small and not very deep. But it's for relax mostly I guess. Staff in resrurant very nice and the chef that made the live cooking for dinner explained all you needed to know about the food, very friendly! My room had a small balcony with views over a worn down old parking garage, maybe not the most spectacular view, but I didn't spend time on the balcony anyway. Shower in the room was ok with hot water, but the flat floor made the water poor out onto the bathroom floor. I can see how some might find the bathroom set-up a bit to little privacy(glass windows and door so you can see inside from the hall of the room) but for me as a single traveler, no problem. Food was definitely ok for the price range and at dinner had plenty of choice from hot plates to cold meats and cheese etc. Breakfast had a little less choice but your standard english/American choices and fruits. Juice machine better than average. I would definitely return because of the room and kind staff!

As a 4-star hotel, the pool towels should be included in the room without having to pay any deposit. Positive on that being that you can change as many times as you wish (Maybe not very eco-friendly) and that you can also return it in reception if the pool area is closed when you want to return towels before check out. Could have been nice with an area to hang out, maybe with some pool table or other games. There is very little to do for children inside the hotel but I guess it might not be their target audience.

Room was more than adequate as a single traveller, safe & minibar/fridge came in useful. Staff were very friendly and helpful, cleaners always greeted you with a smile and a friendly "Hola" The rooftop swimming pools & sunbathing area were clean and not overcrowded. I stayed as Breakfast Only and the food was as to be expected, buffet style, I found the choice plentiful, some of the hot "English Style" items were a bit hit & miss, generally depending on what time you arrived, some items were only just warm, this obviously depended on the rotation. I did find that getting there early (starts at 7:30) was better as less busy and fewer queues at the toast and drinks machines. All in all it was a pleasant stay and good value for money and would recomend.

I can see what other people have found disconcerting regarding the glass walled bathroom but as a single occupant it didn't impact on me. Although only April, the room got warm at night so I had to have the air con on which was a bit noisy as well as the emergency light over the doorway was irritating as I prefer a darker environment for sleeping.

Breakfast choice was very good and breakfast staff worked well. The location is close to city centre and a variety of restaurants. Room was nice and clean.

The first night we were given a room for people with disabilities which we discovered as we entered the room. We did ask to change it but were able to switch only the next day as all the regular rooms were occupied. It did not make the experience worse but we had to spend extra time while waiting for the new room. Also, the shower gel/soap made our skin too dry.

The location is really perfect for a stay in puerto de la cruz, it's 5min walking to all the restaurants and bars yet still far enough away from the noise (nightlife). we had room 507 and was super quiet and nice! Make sure you don't take a room with a view on the street/sea or Teide as these are on the surrounding streets with more noise. the 2 pools on top are also nice and with salt water.

i would not go for the breakfast in the hotel, it's pretty basic and you can get far better ones in the nearest cafeterias. Also a pity the pool closes already at 6 PM For older people i think it's important to know that the walk to the bars and restaurants contains a short but very steep hill (1min walk), for us it was ok though. There is no private parking from the hotel, however we had no problem searching for a parking spot (we visited in May), there is a large parking spot next to the hotel, if you can't find any spot you will always find one in the large parking space at the seaside, however this is a 10min walk.

contemporary style, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, varied breakfast, helpful staff. centrally located. good base for a sightseeing break.

The room was great. the view was good even though it was not overlooking the sea on the whole the staff were very helpful the pool area was brilliant

no parking the food was ok but the quality could have been better the pool only opened at 10am and also closed at 6pm. I would be in the pool at 8 to 9! because breakfast was served up to 10 so could not have a swim before b’fast
