Very convenient location to stay a few days in Basel. A little bit out of the centre of Basel, but excellent access to the city using public transport, which comes for free with the guest card. Covered free parking across the road. This must be the 4th time we have stayed here. Very friendly staff.

Nothing we didn't like everything positive

Nice little hotel, close to Basel city and not too far away from the motorway. Rooms are quite comfortable, with some antique furniture that is meant to refer to the castle next door. It is located in a small park where it is nice to have a short walk. The neighbourhood is also quite picturesque, with all necessary shops and restaurants a few minutes away. The parking is right next to the hotel, very convenient and inexpensive. Check in is super easy with the key left in the keybox. Good breakfast. The staff is welcoming and responsive. So I definitely recommend the hotel.

The wifi did not work the first night, but then the router was apparently restarted.

The hotel is a lovely historic building set in beautiful woodland grounds, situated just a few short kms from the Basel city centre.. The staff were very friendly and helpful, evidenced by the fact that even though we arrived late, the receptionist was still there to greet us and make our arrival very simple and trouble free. The tram/bus stops into Basel are just outside the front entrance of the hotel and so it was very convenient travelling in to Basel without the car. The hotel also gave us free travel tickets for the duration of our stay - which was a nice bonus. Unfortunately, we can't comment on the restaurant/breakfast this time as we had something else arranged. Everything looked very good though.

To be honest there is not much not to like. I could quibble over the small charge for car parking in the underground car park, but, then I would be being petty considering that everything else was excellent.

The location is due to the excellent public transportation in front of the hotel very convenient, the parking was practical. Nice spacious rooms, very friendly personnel. More quiet than in the city centre. Everything was fine except...

...the smell of the cleaning agent was unpleasant in the room. A bit too strong... Opening the window helped.

The room was large with a very comfortable bed and a sitting area. Excellent bathroom facilities. We had a delicious, albeit expensive, meal in the hotel restaurant. The location is perfect: just outside the city of Basel so nice and quiet. Tram to Basel-centre just outside the hotel. Covered hotel parking facilities.

Reception could have been friendlier. There seemed to be very few staff members around. Reception was only manned at certain times, and during breakfast we had to wait quite some time before someone appeared. Breakfast was good but supplies only just adequate - we had to ask if there was more bread, for instance.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were decent sized and had all elements needed. Breakfast was great and highly recommended for convenience and quality of food selection.

The billing process with a 3rd party like Booking.com has been challenging. Try to book this directly and not via Booking.com as they seemingly dont function smoothly together. Lack of an ice machine after 8 PM was annoying -- especially during the summer evenings.

Room was nice, with two doors into the bathroom and two sinks. Parking garage and tram stop nearby so worked perfectly for what we needed. Fan provided, helpful as it was a warm day.

Driving here can be tricky due to traffic and tram tracks but doable.

The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had never been to Basel before, they assisted us in which transport to get into town, great sights to see, gave us very clear easy maps to use. The tram into Basel was really close to the hotel, which made the location ideal.
