Great location with a short walk to either the centre or train station. The large room was really clean, with a comfortable bed. All the reception staff we dealt with were really friendly, smiling and helpful, which we really appreciate. And they provided an extra fan during a period of excessive heat in the city! They were happy to organise taxis, print tickets for a tour etc. The pool was a delight in the heat and was a good size, with a lane for swimming lengths (also a sauna which we didn't use). All very clean. Towels etc were available from gym staff at the entrance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

If I'm pushed to say something it would be that there was some kind of issue with the TV which restricted the channels available. But this was a very minor blip.

The bed was surprisingly large and comfortable. Exceptionally rich and tasty breakfast with everything we could imagine. This was indeed a highlight for us. The central location with the Basel Card was important for us: we used public transport in and outside the city. The tram stop is located just in front of the entrance, the railways station is very near with a direct bus connection to the airport.

The online self-check-in system doesn't really work. "Something went wrong". Had a similar experience with the onsite self-check-in - we couldn't save the data. No problem - we checked in at a clerk at the counter.

Our room was incredibly comfortable and spacious. We loved the beds, and we were blown away at the breakfast, which we had three mornings in a row because it was absolutely delicious. Favorite breakfast at a hotel by a long mile. We loved the atmosphere of the hotel, the staff were incredibly gracious and helpful, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. We spent the previous night in a terrible hotel situation and needed a little bit of luxury and comfort to make up for it, which we certainly found. The location of the hotel was excellent and allowed us to eat out regularly at fantastic spots nearby and see many museums as well, all on foot. We had so much to see in such close proximity we largely didn't use transit even though we had free passes from the hotel, a huge benefit!

Our shower made a puddle on the bathroom floor, which is no big deal but probably a pain in the butt for some folks. We didn't mind, although our towels were soaking wet after mopping the floor after each use. The only other disappointment was the steam bath being out of commission, which we had looked forward to after a gruelling work trip and stay in an absolutely terrible hotel the night before we arrived.

The location is very good as a part of the city’s main attractions are very close by foot so you can navigate easily , the rooms were clean , Ali at the reception was very kind and friendly and he even gave us the breakfast free of charge , very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was nice and tidy even had an iron and an ironing table which in my experience is not very common in hotels and definitely came in handy. Ah yes they also gave us free tickets for local public transport which is definitely another plus. The pool was nice as well.

The bathroom was a bit small and crammed , one of the power sockets at the bed was not working.

VERY NICE SPACIOUS ROOM . EXCELLENT LOCATION NEAR THE TRAIN AND BUS SERVICES IN THE CENTRE OF TOWN.DID NOT USE THE BREAKFAST FACILITY BUT THERE IS A CAFETERIA AT THE SITE WHICH IS USEFUL.

NO PARKING AT THE HOTEL BUT THERE IS A PARKING FACILITY UNDERNEATH THE TRAIN STATION NEARBY. PRICES EXTREMELY HIGH COSTING 75 SWISS FRANKS OVERNIGHT.SOME DIFFICULTY FINDING A PLACE TO STOP THE CAR TO UNLOAD SUITCASES . WE MANAGED TO STOP BEHIND THE HOTEL BUT THE STAFF KEPT TELLING US THAT THE POLICE COULD COME ANY MINUTE AND FINE US. WE DID NOT SEE ANY TRAFFIC POLICE.

There was no parking available in the hotel, had to drive to find an alternative parking garage which was fun given I didn’t know the surroundings. There was an incident during check in, which was however swiftly and professionally resolved by the reception staff. I found the bar service lacking and the staff not super friendly. There were people sitting outside without anyone paying any sort of attention to them for quite a while (30 mins or so)

Two wonderful receptionists at the desk on July 6th, tried their best to accomodate our disbelief.. Super nice receptionists prevented us from leaving the hotel!

Filter: Basel, breakfast included, 8+, swimming pool (to entertain your kid) Go to the hotel: swimming pool is closed for construction or infection risk or in fact less visitors during summer.. To me, it is a scam

Everything. The staff was really attentive and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and full of different, fresh options. The pool and sauna was nice, the location less than 10 minutes on foot from the train station and near a tram station. The room was big and clean.

There was noise from a nearby festival at night but the staff provided me quickly with ear plugs, so the situation was solved.

Well located, clean and luxurious. Staff were very helpful and this included welcome snack and drink for our daughter and provided us with detailed information about the locality. The pool was lovely and open late which was a bonus. Excellent location for the city centr

Room was warm but the city was nearly 40degrees.

An easy walk from the station, and there is a tram stop right outside if you have heavy luggage. A free city transport pass is provided. Roomy, comfy room. Close to the shops and attractions.

The swimming pool was closed for maintenance, which was disappointing as this was one of the reasons I booked this hotel.
