As many others have said, this is a centrally located budget hotel. The rooms are no frills but fine for a short stay. We had a triple room with two shower rooms which was convenient. The pull-down bed was also reasonably comfortable which is not always the case. The staff at the reception were very helpful and we received the public transport card in advance so we could use it to get to the hotel. The breakfast place recommended looked nice, but we didn't have time to try it.

There is some noise between rooms but they provide ear plugs. A kettle/coffee machine would be a nice touch. We were fine for one night.

Best check-in service possibly ever. The guy who did it explained all that we needed to know about the local area and what to see, complete with map. Very helpful and efficient front desk throughout our stay. We found the rooms slightly odd as you entered via the bathroom, but in the end this didn't actually affect our stay. The rooms are small doubles so I booked a room each for myself and my two adult children. Very glad we didn't try to double up as the small double has the bed pushed against the wall. LOVED the location with the old town right on our doorstep. The room was warm and the view fine. Bed very comfortable. Rooms clean. Liked the table and two chairs.

Well this is a basic hotel charged at Geneva prices so overall we were happy. But coffee facilities would have been nice. If not in the rooms, then a central coffee machine in reception even would have helped as getting up and out before even a hot drink first thing was not great on a snowy morning.

Hotel Central Location is what makes this hotel. We are the type of traveler that books hotels for location to do what we want to do not to lounge in our hotel rooms. Hotel Central is withing walking distance of literally most of Geneva’s main attractions. And those that aren’t within walking distance you can reach with the free public transportation card provided by the hotel and the main bus/train line is right out your door. The room is equipted with most everything you need: private bath, balcony, TV. One glaring omission is a coffee maker. It’s the only room we’ve ever been to where the entry way is through the bathroom. The room is small by US standards but fits right in with the Europe. A nice touch were the ear plugs provided but the city noise was not a problem for us. The hotel is a 15 min walk from Geneva’s main train station. The reception is on the 6th floor and the entry door is locked as the building is shared with other businesses. There’s a key pad to the left, use the buttons to scroll to Hotel Central and press the intercom and they will let you in. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Check in is in the afternoon but our flight arrived in the morning. They were able to accommodate us and let us check in early which was a huge help. We would stay there again and recommend Hotel Central.

Lack of coffee maker. The room is small by US standards, but we didn't book this hotel to stay in the room. As with a lot of European locations the elevator is a 2 person car.

The location was perfect and everything was in easy reach. We walked everywhere and made use of the Geneva pass for public transport (we had this emailed to us prior to our stay which was extremely helpful as we used it to get from the airport when we arrived). Staff were helpful & gave us specific directions of where to go for a reasonable breakfast (Croissant or pain au chocolat and a hot drink for €8). The room was adequate and we had opted for a twin which included shower & basin in the room with a shared toilet which was near the room. Another nice touch was complimentary ear plugs (also a forewarning of what was to come haha) and chocolates!

Although perfectly located the drawback was the noise at night from passers by. There’s not much the hotel can do about that and they do provide complimentary ear plugs on arrival.

The location is awesome right near the lake in fountain. It is very easy to get to and from the main train station and airport. There were multiple locked doors to get to your room so it was very safe and secure. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful. it being my first time in the city, she explained to me how to get around where everything was and more importantly how to get to the airport quickly and cheaply when it was time to go

The shower is the smallest shower I’ve ever seen. But there was plenty of hot water.

Our room had a tiny balcony which helped because there were moments that it was so hot in the room and opening the balcony freshened it up. They offer 2 tiny welcome chocolates and 2 sets of earplugs, appreciate that. The bed was comfy and the beddings were clean and cozy. The staff members were really helpful and awesome. And of course, the location is unbeatable! Right there at the center with a minute access to where you can eat, go shopping, take the trams etc. The public library is also just beside it. LOVE!

The layout is a bit weird. You open the door and you are welcomed by the toilet. It doesn't have exhaust so the humidity and smell stays. If you happen to have a room without windows or balcony, that may be a problem. Pillows need upgrading because when you sleep on them, they just lay super flat and there is basically no neck support.

Very central location: short walk to railway station and Lake Geneva. Many cafes and shops nearby. Friendly staff. They were happy to store our luggage for a few hours after checking out.

The entrance door to the room opened straight into the bathroom (toilet, sink and shower room) so we had to walk through the bathroom to get in and out of the hotel room. Although the room looked clean, it appeared quite tired. There was a shelf right above the bed with a risk of us hitting our heads on it.

Absolutely amazing experience and such a bargain price! Staff were all so pleasant and helpful, sauna on rooftop was so nice also. Perfect location for all Christmas markets within Berlin and only 30 minutes on train direct from airport :)

Only negative was the room was a bit too warm, the bathroom underfloor heating is such a bonus in the morning however I wish I was able to turn it off during the night but this is just preference to me liking a cold room :) x

The room itself was clean but the hotel is quite run down.

It was very expensive for what it was, just a small room with no tea or coffee making facilities. Temperature wasn't controllable within the room. Sink tap was VERY lose and the light in the shower had fallen out the ceiling with exposed wires.. In a shower.. Tiny elevators, very small room with uncomfortable bed. No options for English TV channels - they didn't work.
