I loved the location as it was slightly down the hill from the main centre of Grindelwald and was easy to walk to walk to the train station or a bus stop. I loved little extra touches like free apples at reception, the better than normal continental breakfast, the use of the downstairs fridge, the use of a washing machine and dryer (unfortunately I didn’t know about this) and being able to buy a salad for the supermarket and have it for dinner in the garden. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The only negative was that, despite my room being very clean and comfortable, it was facing the street and was a little noisy with the trains. Mine was a single bed room.

Hotel Cabana was just amazing. The interior looks nice and comfortable, the view from the rooms is jaw-dropping stunning (The Eiger is very close), you can sit in the balcony and just watch the view and not go anywhere else. There is a washer and dryer, which is very convenient. There is wine and snacks in the lounge which you can take and will be charged later, the heating is very good, and the balcony door opens in a very interesting way to leave a crack for fresh air. There are chairs and a table in the balcony - and that's where we rang in the new year! The host lady was very friendly. My husband broke his arm skiing, and she offered to drop us to the train station since wheeling the bags on our walk would have been difficult. She also allowed our sons to check in early when they reached ahead of all of us for skiing. I cannot say enough about how amazing our stay was. The photos here do not do justice to the place. Unfortunately I don't have better photos of the property.

Very hospitable small family run hotel. Excellent breakfast which you could take to your balcony as the mountain view rooms have a perfect view of the Eiger. Rooms are clean and we'll presented. The staff are excellent, warm and friendly and helpful.

We knew that there was no restaurant, but the walk in to Grindelwald is 15 min uphill walk and after a long day hiking, it's a bit of a drag. Bathrooms really need upgrading, very dated, slippy bath to take a shower... Very 70's. Otherwise this is a lovely hotel.

Everything! The most wonderful hotel. The facilities were fantastic, the room so comfortable and cute with ample space. We had a ground floor room and loved sitting outside to admire the view, plus our 1 year old appreciated having some green space to play. The view was incredible. The staff were so friendly and helpful, plus the travel card to use the buses into the Main Street was a fantastic touch. We were here for Christmas and it was perfect.

I have to say this hotel give me the best luxury experience in Switzerland! First of all, the staffs of reception could speak fluent English and they are really friendly and thoughtful. My partner and I have to leave this hotel in the early morning, the staff offer us a lovely lunch box! what a lovely surprise! Secondly, our room with the perfect garden view! The Alps just in front of ‘our face’. it was my first time didn’t want to go out the hotel! it was so perfect here! the view is totally the point! last but not least, the facilities are also very nice here! free car park, sauna room，unlimited tea bags and fruits! I will definitely visit again in the future!

If the breakfast could provide more hot food and more option will be so much appreciated.

Before I booked this room, I was deeply attracted by the dreamy hillside in the picture. When I checked in, I opened the door and there was the mountain of Dreams. I really loved the view. I like the scenery of Switzerland. You know, I can't put into words that moment when I open the door in the morning.

Amazing facilities. Rooms are newly renovated with a beautiful decor. Everything was great, welcoming, personnel, breakfast, bed comfort, balcon. Quality-to-price ratio definitely above the average of Grindelwald! I was there for the Eiger Ultra Trail. I got the option of an early breakfat (3 a.m.): they prepared a packed breakfast plus I was given the chance to use the coffee machine :) Thanks!

We were checked-in as soon as we arrived although we were there before check-in time. The room was a good size and clean. Bedlinen felt crisp and comfortable.

We had a room with no mountain view (which is what we booked - not the hotel's fault) - however, these rooms do face the street and it can get a bit loud with traffic - so, if you can - do yourself a favour and get a room facing the Eiger.

The property is as described. The room was true to its size and it was very clean even though the bathroom was little retro. The best part was the little patio area, we used it each day.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Fantastic views! Lovely friendly, helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Having a microwave downstairs was a great idea. Also having 2 usb plugs available as we didn't have adaptors to fit Swiss plugs.

The pillows were really poor. Nothing hot at breakfast.
