We had an AMAZING room with a wrap around porch and unobstructed views of EVERYTHING!! Sooooo gorgeous. Worth the money to be able to relax on the porch and look at the view, so we didn't have to hustle around. My husband loved having a cigar and scotch on back patio. We could see the entrance to Grindelwald First from our porch, but we had more than a 180 degree view from room 528. Breakfast was AMAZING and tons of choices and great hours. It did have tour groups checking in almost every day, so we were happy to bypass the lobby to go directly to our room each afternoon.

Pillows were a bit flat. We stacked up several but would have been nice to have better ones.

Honestly the service was absolute top notch! I’ve travelled all over the world and I’ve never had such a pleasant experience as the staff in the entire hotel. From reception, to bartenders and hosts - it was truly helpful and made our stay such a pleasant experience. We would definitely come back to grindelwald next winter and needless to say where will be staying again. Amenities were perfect, food at the breakfast and the restaurant on the side of the hotel was amazing too. Great food at good prices. Location is probably at the best area of the entire village. I booked it on a whim and it was such a great experience. Needless to say 10/10.

What an incredible place to stay - we feel very lucky to have been here over Christmas. The staff were excellent in every regard - polite, helpful and friendly at every level. The hotel exceeded our expectations throughout our stay - the complimentary hot wine on christmas eve outdoors next to fire pits, the huge spa pool (we even had it to ourselves) and the breakfasts with the views of the eiger were particular highlights. Our room was brilliant - just about big enough for the 3 of us and the view of the eiger from our balcony was exceptional.

Our room was very warm and the temp could not be controlled in the room - but we just opened a window to our amazing view to cool us down.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The room is comfortable and was cleaned promptly in the morning. There is a quite garden to relax in and a very nice sauna. I would also recommended the restaurant. The most important thing is that every person I encountered working for the hotel was polite and friendly and all our requests were met. There is under ground parking available (for a charge) as well as an electric charging station. It is very convenient and the parking bays are large.

The room was quite warm as it is the middle of summer. However, a small fan was provided.

Absolutely beautiful location, clean rooms and good breakfast. Really enjoyed some family time in the beautiful lobby with their stunning fireplace. Excellent for travelling with children.

The room we stayed in was tiny, the beds weren’t big nor comfortable and the choice of pillows was poor. Overall, it seemed like we were paying more for the beautiful scenery than the actual place, it seemed slightly overpriced.

Rooms were nice, clean. Breakfast, especially the omelet station was great. Location was great.

Room temperature control could’ve been better. The hotel really needs a hot tub / jacuzzi. That was really missing. Pool, steam room but no Jacuzzi?? Also, with 6 people in the family… being forced to split 3 and 3 instead of 4 and 2 is a major flaw. No adults want to sleep with a kid in their room for a week when they’ve purchased TWO hotel rooms.

I booked room for my parents. It was present on my dad's birthday. They were so happy with room, view and hotel location. When other people were coming from other hotels by bus to get lift on mountains they needed to simply cross the road as lift was opposit the hotel. They enjoyed breakfast as well. They said there were different options every day. Spa zone was very nice and they really enjoyed it after skiing and walking. Also, room and hotel was very clean. I need to add that staff was also very helpful and friendly. My parents don't speak english or german at all, so they were using translater in phone to communicate with them. Staff in reception was happy to ansfer any question through translater. Thanks a lot for that! They said they were in paradise and defenitely would want to come back.

The location was perfect, the staff were extremely helpful and polite. The hotel itself is stunning, from every angle. The spa is also pretty special!!

Highlighting the rules for the spa would make sense. For those of us that aren't used to stripping down to our birthday suits, it came as quite a shock when we were made to do so. You are permitted to cover with your towel, but don't expect everyone else to. This wasn't explained very well to us, which resulted in slight frustration. Eventually, I spoke to reception and was offered an apology and free drinks!!

Location is great. The view from the room was amazing. Room good size with good facilities and great shower. Facilities was good in room and hotel, but great pool with a view. Staff friendly with easy check-in and check out.

Staff at Bar in lounge slow when busy. Could have done with more staff in peak periods. Pillows in room soft and not enough. Good breakfast but could do with a dish or 2 to cater for the Asian guests.

This facility is relatively new and spacious. The room was large and a great view of the mountains. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

This is a large facility and thus hosts large bus groups. The Breakfast room is large but not managed well enough to keep the group from dominating the food lines and tables. The only negative to our stay was the tension created by the large group at Breakfast.
