Spacious room with great view, comfortable bed and room temperature, great location for sightseeing and shopping, close to the train station, amazing breakfast with professional and friendly staff, delicious meals for room service, relaxing atmosphere and professional staff at the lounge/bar, very efficient and nice house keeping staff. I highly recommend!

Everything was great. Only suggestion would be to let us know in advance the most efficient and easiest way to walk to the hotel with suitcases from Lausanne train station. We had to walk up steep cobblestone hill to the hotel that was very challenging and later found out that taking the metro to Lausanne-Flon station then taking the parking elevator to the 5th floor brings us in front of the hotel without strenuous uphill hike.

Friendly professional helpful staff, amazing location, actually the best in the city from my point of view, you can see the city together with the lake from the balcony, amazingly big room, super clean. Don’t think about it, if the hotel is within your budget, go ahead and reserve there.

I enjoyed the spa very much. Especially the Thai massage by Khun. And LP’s bar. Great selections of bar food, cocktails and service staff there.

The room was old, needs renovations and a new bed. The mattress was sagging a bit. I also found the breakfast to be very average, and I expected more. And the cleaning ladies were really not good for a 5 star hotel. They didn’t change my sheets when I asked! I also had to tell front desk every day to please replenish my water and mini bar, so someone was NOT DOING THEIR JOB properly!

A most welcoming and efficient staff who ensure their customers enjoy their stay to the maximum benefit. My stay was made extra special due to the circumstances whereby both my Swiss mother and English father had worked in the hotel from 1939 and beyond (independently of each other) and eventually married in Geneva that led to me being born in Basle in 1946. Their General Manager was very helpful and supportive of my research to produce an illustrated book of their lives in Switzerland working in several of their very best hotels for 10 years before settling in England permanently.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Very clean and comfortable, staff was very gracious. Nice views over the lake (if you book a lake view room), nice spa. We didn't try the breakfast as we're not big on breakfast so for us the CHF 45 a head seemed steep. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Complimentary assortment of drinks in the room. We had a suite for us and two kids, the extra beds for the kids are proper beds that were very comfortable not a fold out sofa. Room size was 50+m2 so still spacious even with 4

No door on the shower meant the floor got quite wet

Spacious room made the stay comfortable. Lovely view from balcony. Well-equipped bathroom. British TV channels available. Attentive staff and housekeeping. Breakfast had a great variety in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

While the size of bed was excellent, I found the pillows in particular to be too soft for my personal preference, and overall found the bedding a bit too warm. If I were to improve anything in the bathroom, it would be to include a more spacious, modern shower if possible.

Staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. We were carrying a baby stroller and every time I enter into hotel, staff offered their help. Spa and swimming pool was great.

A nice hotel with premium amenities but charging unnecessarily high charges for water bottles and counting their complimentary water bottles for the room. There was no water refill station for guests in the hotel. This was the only annoying thing.

Everything. The staff were impeccable, the room was unforgettable, the spa was lovely and the breakfast was the best I've ever had in a hotel. The minute you drive up to the front door and hand your key over to the valet, you know it's going to be a good stay.

I honestly couldn't fault anything.

The Lausanne Palace is a beautiful hotel with a lovely bar, great spa, fantastic rooms (we had a lovely lake view room, large and with a balcony) and very friendly staff.

The breakfast is expensive (45 francs) and did not feel quite as special and luxurious as the rest of the hotel. We also had dinner in the brasserie and felt it was far too expensive for the quality of the food. My husband had turbot which had the consistency of a chicken breast.
