The room was a decent size, clean, with enough storage, a safe, a professional Nespresso coffee machine and the bed and pillows were confortable. A balcony with a ashtray and a beautiful view. The hotel has a pool and a lake access, perfect for summer and the view from the pool was amazing. I’m not a fan of buffet breakfasts but, between the Gorgonzola, the dispensers of farmers honey, the fresh orange juice machine, the fresh bread and pastries, all sorts of teas, eggs, cereals, nuts, etc and the different types of coffee you can order, this one is devine! The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

Room was comfortable and clean. Front of house staff were professional and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious- they had everything from multiple types of bread, cereals, cold cut meats, the classic fry up components and fresh squeezed orange juice. Location is great. We had a lake view and it was spectacular.

Hair dryer is the classic stuck to the wall type, weaker than a woman with long hair would like.

The lakeside position and views from the room. The free tourist bus was helpful to get back to the Hauptbahnhof.

Great location. Clean. A wonderful combination of pool and direct access to the lake incl. a floating island. The bed was very comfortable. Great breakfast buffet. Delicious dinner.

There were free chips to snack on, but no free water, which is definitely the better choice in my opinion :-) The staff in the restaurant was nice, however, it felt like volume handling - getting as much people in and out. There was no personal touch whatsoever and I overheard some staff members standing 1.5 meters away making fun of guests.

Fantastic location right on the lake. The view from the room and the restaurant is to die for. Close to amenities and city centre. Excellent public transport outside the door. Beautiful pool area which was easy to access and use. Polite helpful staff. Comfortable room and bathroom with good shower (although you will need to get into the bath). My special requests when booking were made without any reminder. Exceptional breakfast.

Be aware that the Swiss power plug is different to the rest of Europe (staff were kind enough to give us an adapter) but a couple of USB ports would easily solve the problem.

Amazing hotel. Very comfortable rooms, well equipped with modern amenities (ac, coffee machine, minibar). Fantastic buffet breakfast enjoyed on a terrasse with beautiful lake views (or inside if preferred). Very nice open-air swimming pool with lake views and access to the lake well. Exceptional amenities to enjoy the lake during the summertime! There is also a (very small) gym with lake views.

Nothing! The location is great - right by the lake, with lake access. It is very well connected via public transportation to the city centre, the train station, the funicular to Monte Bré, etc. There are supermarkets, restaurants and bars next to the hotel, but the walk to the city centre is a bit long, it is not right in the middle of the city centre.

The breakfast was great. I just wish they opened more indoor space to eat as it was mostly cold and rainy. My specific balcony was great as I didn’t have the eye sore construction building in front of me. Staff seemed very nice. Although a few of the older male staff during breakfast at times would watch me like I was stealing. So they stayed close on me when I would load my plate. I didn’t this behavior with anyone else. It was uncomfortable.

If you pay for Mountain View it isn’t really anything but buildings. I noticed if you paid for that view your balcony chair was hard metal rather than the softer ones on the other side. My room was so tiny I literally tripped on the bed walking into the room. I couldn’t even access the other side of my bed because of the desk. It was VERY tight for $600. Side note for those that don’t know but the blue shutters outside the bathroom window are not decor they are functional. My last day I found this out as you could see directly into my room from the outside stairway. Also I have to fully move furniture to access any plugs for my phone none are available easily at all.

The hotel presents itself very well. My room was very nice - linens were high quality and the mattress and pillow very comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful with all my questions. The pool overlooked the Lake and breakfast was amazing - one of the best I had in 19 days in Europe - so many options and a great dining area overlooking Lake Lugano and San Salvatore. You definitely want to linger and enjoy a slow and relaxed breakfast at this hotel. The location was good as it is on the lake, but it does require a 25 minute walk to get to the city center, The walk is easy, scenic and safe as it passes through a park. The hotel location is very close to Mount Bre and the Path of Olives which are 2 activities that any visitor to Lugano should check out.

All was good. Nothing bad to report. I did have to wait until 3 for my room, but that is what is posted. The front desk did hold my bags in the office so I could start exploring.

Amazing location with stunning lake views. Great to have access to the lake directly from the hotel. They also have paddle boards available for use which was a great surprise! You can get a public transportation card for free and the bus leaves right across from the hotel, and drops you in the city center. The hotel has a vintage feel (but still very clean, comfy beds etc.) which we found very charming. Staff really nice and kind, both the people at the reception and the pool area were very welcoming and helpful.

The breakfast (except the excellent cappuccino) was quite disappointing at this price level. The scrambled eggs from the buffet were inedible. It also ends strictly at 10. There were also awkward signs about not taking food with you “to go” which were a bit off for a hotel of this vibe.
