It's actually surprisingly great. Better than most 5 star hotels in zurich. The details are right! Staff are so helpful, bed is comfortable. Location is great.

Breakfast was very fresh with good variety of foods and the ambiance each morning was warm and welcoming. A very nice way to begin each day. Best coffee in Europe. Friendly, helpful and professional staff at every turn. Beautifully renovated hotel in the Art Deco style. Lake front and well located to train, bus and tram transport. Our Classic King room was on the 5th (top) level via fast lifts. It was spacious, tastefully decorated in duck egg blue tones. Heated bathroom floors and a decent hairdryer were very welcome. Quality crisp linens, feather quilt and pillows and an exceptionally comfortable mattress.

Check-in is strictly 3pm. Switzerland is an expensive country to visit and hotel prices reflect this.

We loved the balcony, the check in was very smooth and many of the staff extremely nice. Location was beautiful. We went to the opera and it was just a walk away.

Checkout experience was clunky. We informed the receptionist that we were checking out and going back to the rooms to get our luggage's. It was 10:30. We went back to the room and the room key didn't work. We were already on a hurry for a meeting at 11am. We went back to reception and she stated "of course, you just checked out". We would expect her to say "sorry for the inconvenience. you did mention you were getting back to the rooms and were on a hurry".

Not have different pillows

Lovely location, 6 minute walk from the Opera House Right on the lake with spectacular view. Staff were super helpful and accommodating. Decor of hotel is beautiful in bar and restaurant areas. Rooms are smart and well appointed. Breakfast was very good.

Lighting in entrance is very odd, it's cold and doesn't do the marble any justice. This cold lighting is reflected throughout the walkways in the hotel where softer ambient lighting would be much nicer. The entrance to the hotel therefore feels quite cheap and is not reflective of the quality of the rest of the hotel.

The style and decor had been beautifully designed. The bed was extremely comfortable. The view from the room was above expectations.

Even though the hotel advertises that dietary needs can be catered for and after I phoned the hotel in advance of my stay and stated in my booking that I was vegan; the staff looked very concerned at breakfast when I asked them to show me the vegan options. From the hot buffet it was only baked beans. From the cold buffet it was cereal, soya milk, fruit and nuts. They said they would prepare something for me for the following morning and agreed they would have vegan bread as apparently none of the bread was vegan. However, the next morning there was no vegan bread. They did give me a beautiful plate of fruit and avocado, which I enjoyed, but really disappointed there was so little choice for vegans.

Sufficient space. Comfortable with a touch of luxury. Staff was very friendly especially a lady who was so warm at check in and gave an upgrade. Breakfast spread was good. It’s a bit further away than some hotels that were nearer to the main station or to the old quarters. But, it’s still near enough and can be reached from Zurich HB via tram line 4 and stop at kruezstrasse. Nice walk along the river back to old quarters.

The double room with lake view was spacious, had excellent storage, and was very comfortable. The view is worth paying for. The bed was firm and comfortable, the bathroom well appointed with plenty of bench space and lovely soft towels. It was very nice to have bathrobes, as the room was excellent for relaxing in. Although a coffee machine was provided a kettle was also provided on request. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The location is beautiful with plenty of dining options and a large co-op supermarket close by. Access to the railway station is easy by tram.

The only slight reservation was the lack of air conditioning although we were happy to solve it by leaving the door to the terrace open all night.

We really enjoyed this amazing hotel! Our room was beautiful and we had an amazing view of the Lake! The staff was also very helpful with information on getting around the city and we were able to buy tickets there. The breakfast area was so nice and the food was excellent.

We liked everything about this hotel.

Superb location, attentive front desk staff, decent breakfast, very nice and clean suite with amazing views of the lake and a bit of the city; we loved a little surprise for my bf's birthday as well as a bowl of fresh fruits & free minibar provided in our suite

For a 4* hotel and for a hefty price tag (I know this is Zurich though lol), I would expect the breakfast to offer more, and some local treats perhaps?
