We stayed at the Love shack and it was lovely. The property is simply beautiful. We left the door open and the breeze was amazing. Very private. Very affordable laundry service. I had to do a late checkout and they were very accommodating.

No privacy in the bathroom, so I don’t no recommend it for new couples. Hot water is very limited so shower quick. Also no AC and if can get a little warm if you do not leave the windows open, even though there is a fan. The WIFI didn’t work at all. The food is not very good and the service is SUPER slow. It takes them over 20 minutes just to bring you coffee. Also no one at the information desk from 10pm to 7:30am. The beachfront is not suitable to swim (watch out for sea urchin).

Best hotel in Zanzibari 😍😍 we spent our honeymoon there everything was perfect. Great rooms with super kind service, food is really tasty, nice pool with view and access directly to beach when it’s low tide. The personal are very friendly and sweet. We did book all the activities in the reception. Taxi available whenever we needed. Wifi everywhere in the hotel. A big up to John in the reception he really nailed it. I highly recommend this hotel 😍🙏🏼❤️

Rooms. Uncomfortable pillows and shower water was either boiling or cold. Staff did not refill soap unless we ask and we see it was missing when we started showering. There was no conditioner, which is super necessary for women with long hair.

They were so nice. The hotel has a beautiful garden and pool, everything looks really good. We stayed in one of the rooms on the first floor with a terrace / balcony and had air conditioning. The rooms were very comfortable. They make up the rooms every day and have put lovely flowers and towel figures on our bed for honeymoon. In the evening they also put down the mosquito net in the room and spray mosquito repellent. You get more than enough towels! The breakfast is standard zanzibari but enough and with a good service. For our honeymoon they made a candlelight dinner and a maasai show under the stars, it was so beautiful, we were overwhelmed! Really great!

The hotel is in reality even nicer than the pictures, it really feels like you enter paradise with a nice tropical garden, a great pool and the private beach. The staff is extremely friendly and made our stay unforgettable. Nice food in the hotel restaurant at fair prices, and a massage from heaven...

The hotel is located somewhat further from nungwi center, and with the tides it was not always easy to walk to nungwi. The road towards the hotel is in a very bad state and makes the trip to the centre longer then it should be. A toilet next to the pool in the bar building would have made the accomodation perfect.

Lovely views from our room and very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and the hotel facilities were adequate.

There was a lack of a private beach to swim in the sea. There is beachfront access however this stretch of beach is littered with touters aggressively selling boat trips, massages or zoo tickets.

We loved the accommodation, it was on the ground floor but facing the pool and the sea and very refreshing. The beds were cutely done up with towel animals decorated with flowers and it was such a cute touch! The pool, restaurant area and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The staff is friendly and cooperative.

Maybe a shade or two on the beach? But since the tide comes in in the evening it probably isn't a good idea. Also, methods of conveyance to other parts of Zanzibar like cabs or shuttles would help.

There were no small face towels in the rooms which is a bit odd. The area has terrible roads but that’s the whole of Nungwi so not much to do about that. it just makes the trips much longer than they need to be. the hotels should consider fixing even their own Avenue. the garden in the front needs more maintenance- it looks super rough.

Let me first talk about the staff, there were always ready around me and assisted whatever I asked. I need to mention especially my guy Nzorin, he is legendary. Now I got a brother over there. The room has a nice view, is clean and well-conditioned. Breakfast was good and "fish salad" amazingly delicious. My flight was late and they let me check out pretty late and did not charge.

The hotel is pretty out of the village center where the action happens. Water pressure was not enough when I was there, so taking shower was not easy but it is not a big deal at all.

Everything at the Zanzibari was just amazing!! Starting with the very uncomplicated airport transfer, the warm welcome, the most beautiful and spacious bungalow right at the beach, the delicious breakfast every morning and delicious food during the day at the pool and for dinner, the very polite staff (especially Samuel - thanks for everything!), and simply this amazing pool and beach area which was so great for relaxing! We had the best start into our vacation on Zanzibar and the most amazing 4 days in a long time! We would 1000% recommend The Zanzibari to everyone who wants a quiet and relaxing getaway from daily life. I cannot even put it in words, but our stay at The Zanzibari was pure paradise and we miss it already! Also, the area offers many activities if you want to get a break from relaxing (dolphin swimming & snorkeling at mnemba island, turtles aquarium…)

Everything was great, but I think it has to be mentioned that the beach right in front of the hotel (accessible by stairs) is not pure sand but rather a bit stony and it’s advisable to bring water shoes if you want to go in. We didn’t have any, but didn’t feel we missed out on anything because the pool was so amazing (and I think also salt water). 10 minutes by foot towards nungwi, there’s a long sandy beach
