Very green and fresh

The cost, location and zoo/turtle swim (no tourists as we were there before it was open to the public... incredible! As a bonus, didn't think we had breakfast included but it was provided by staff. Lucky bonus. Met a staff member that went out of his way to make sure we got water etc when we arrived late and organised a tour around the neighborhood, obviously passionate about the role nungwe plays with the turtles and proud of his town.

Bathroom is a wet room with mop to clean up after you, ok for me but my companion is used to more European bathrooms/showers. There was a small gap in the door and mosquitos got in. Also air con didn't work till a particular time, not sure if it was on a timer.

Going to see the turtles before and after visitors turn up. It gers busy then. Breakfast was delivered to your terrace and was really good. Turtles are amazingly friendly and love people/food 😄 Once in a lifetime opportunity The lake is connected somehow to the sea and is fresh. One of them bit me on the back, small price to pay and it doesn't hurt was a playful bite like from a kitten.

We turned up after dark and it didn't feel safe to look for a restaurant in the immediate area. However 1 of the security guards working there escorted us to a restaurant on the beach and returned to collect us after our meal

Our accomodation is shifted from aquarium to the beach hotels. Rooms were good with standard sizes and amenities. Hotel staff provided seperate towels for beach, that's a very good part. Fulfill my expectations. The hotel is almost located on beach. One suggestion: It would be great if the entry point will be free of smell of fishes. The frizer can be placed somewhere else for a comfortable entry.

Location and plants

Location is great... close to the northest beach of Zanzibar and inside the turtles aquarium. The satff are also very nice and willing to help.

Proximity to the beach, clean rooms, the natural pool hense swimming with turtles. Big rooms and free breakfast. The staff are efficient and made our stay comfortable.

Staff very friendly and helpful...the bungalow are clean and big for me it was quiet and i could have a rest After 7days safari....i booked for 1night but i stayed one night more...thank you all the Staff merci beaucoup...i swam with turtles at 7 in thé morning no one before tourists...the beach is very close 2minutes but walking distance

We booked this barak aquarium bungalows just because turtles, but when we arrived there was some issues and we were transfered to baraka beach bungalows and we came there one day just to see turtles. Anyway, expierence in baraka beach bungalows was great, personell was friendly, food in restaurant was really great. Price/comfort ratio is really good in this place. Don't expext any luxury but you will have everything you might need

Water pressure in the shower sometimes was very low

great for the money. great that you have the possibility to play with the turtles before every arrives. good breakfast.
