Shamba Lodge is a great place to stay in Nungwi. It's clean, spacious and comfortable. Amazing breakfast. The best part is the amazing staff. Ali is so friendly and helpful, one day he even went to the Dala Dala Station with us and talked to the driver to make sure we would get local price. Also, because my wife is afraid of dogs and Shamba Lodge has a German shephard (which we didn't know before coming), Ali made sure that the dog was not walking around anytime when we left or arrived at the lodge, which made my wife feel a lot more comfortable during our stay. Asante sana Shamba!

The room is large and clean. The staff is nice. We also liked the animals, there is a dog and two cats. The breakfast is good. You get fruits and can choose between different types of eggs or pancakes. It is close to the beach, but we didn't like this part of the beach so much. It is better to walk a little bit further. We really liked our stay at the Shramba lodge.

The room was very nice. The AC was working well and the bathroom was clean. We had delicious breakfast every day with coffee (with real milk!), fruits and a main of choice. The owner and the staff (and Koa, the dog) were very friendly and nice to be around. The hotel is not directly on the beach, but maybe 50-100m from the ocean (1 minute away).

Nice big room with balcony. Really good Wifi and aircondition. Simple breakfast, but for the price for the night I would not expect any breakfast. Few nice local restaurants in walking distance. Beach 5 minutes walk. It’s not the nicest beach but during high tide is fine.

Its staff tried to offer a lot of tour information and introduced me a very good tour company.

The hotel phone number was not correct so that it was impossible for me to contact with the hotel when my flight departure time was delayed so long time due to the airplane problem.

Large rooms with fan and air conditioning. Very relaxing and perfect for a good night sleep. Great breakfast in a cozy and traditional hut. Just 2 minutes walking from the beach, bars and restaurants. There are a lot of activities and tours to do in the area. Absolutely recommend for the price and service offered!

Great clean, bright, comfy room for a fair price, off the beach a bit but only a short walk. Hot water pressure pretty good. Kind and helpful staff.

A real crush for Shamba lodge. If you are looking for a really local and charming place, this is the one for you. The staff is just amazing, smiling, helping whenever they can. The room is simple and comfortable, the wifi is good and the breakfast is prepared with love. Everything is just like the island, beautiful and welcoming. Those who are looking for luxury should skip it ;) Thank you Marta and all your team for the wonderful moments we had.

Everyone is so friendly. Amaia, raffael and all the staff are very helpful and treat you like family. We will go back for sure. Location is superb and great value for money.

Our stay at Shamba Lodge was unforgettable. The host was amazing and very helpful with everything. In terms of the standard of living in Zanzibar, the Shamba Lodge estate is superior. We also liked that the property is close to the beach and away from the crowds.
